Shimano has this advertised for squid fishing/egingnbut since you have this for a while, is it able to handle good size fish?
Thinking of getting this reel instead of the Vanford and in terms of smoothness is this better?

Would say that carbon washers are not for stacking the drum up/down because they are waaay to big. They're called drag washers that go inside of the brake/clutch plates. Like on a motorbike. Keep up the good work 🤘
