I watched this video when I was 7 years old, and now that I'm 16, it's still one of my childhood classics acrsss UA-cam. Also easily the best video on your channel. I'm not a fan of basketball or any sport really, but I enjoyed seeing you and Wildeeper go through this sports office building.
thanks for this tour mate im thinking of going to uni as when I left school in the UK they dont really help you when you are ready to leave high school so I have now just decided what I want to do lol, as an international student its difficult for me just to fly there just for a tour, unless i get accepted so Its nice you took the time to upload this and thank you :) I know how much of a pain it is to upload lol
1:24 there was also multiple floors to that section over there I wonder if they have just the same layout with the same brands of elevators or something else
Those are indeed Pleomax batteries! Yep, I bought a bulk pack of 28 of them, which I use for "emergencies" such as this. Fresh AA batteries can only record about 15 minutes of video for me, so normally I use rechargeables. At this point in the day all my rechargeable batteries had died, unfortunately. A pair of rechargeable batteries can actually last much longer, I can get over an hour of video with each charge.
Hey Andrew have you been in Massachusetts cuz I saw one of your videos that were in Boston at the Logan airport or is that Boston Virginia but I live in Haverhill Mass and do you live in Roanoke or that's just where you been in for elevators
Somehow we missed another Schindler in this building, however the records say it was installed at the same date so it's most likely just like the one in this video.
I remember going to the new york stadium one time and it wasnt as interesting as this but it did appear to have some really nice otis elevators and escalators
I am an alumni at Virginia Tech and I never knew you could go through the building like that. I have been going to that coliseum since I was 8 years old. I have been in the conference room and practice courts before and of course the coliseum. I don't know if they even use those practice courts anymore. There was more then just that one, I think there were two. They built a new practice facility where they practice now and everything is more high tech there.
I wonder what the schindler elevator is used for I thought it was maybe a service elevator since its in a seperate area but that couldnt be the case because service elevators are normally run down so it must be another passenger elevator for that zone
This is the part of the layout I don't understand. So if the dover goes from 1-4, and the freight and Schindler only go 1-3, then how did you get to the schindler from the dover? Because you started on 2, took the freight down to 1, and then took the dover up to 4. And after exploring 4 you got onto the schindler, only for it to have 3 floors. And The 2nd floor of the schindler also led back to the 2nd part of the freight. It doesn't make sense. Plus you didn’t show the schindler on the 1st floor anywhere.
Near Where I live they built a brand new small building it wasnt as interesting as this building but it did have a really nice brand new schindler 5500 elevator in it but the elevator was still on its installation process
Thanks! I’ve been watching a lot of videos since 2016 and have been a big fan for years and I’ve loved the content posted on UA-cam by you and I also want to say that you are one of the 3 eleva”tubers” (see what i did there?) that I’ve loved and the other 2 being Jim Li Elevators and Heritage Elevators

Love this old building! 6:23 the racquetball court is extremely underlit though.
The racquetball court lights get brighter as they heat up
@@NyxKemo No, they look like incandescent square recessed lights, not HID.

It is very odd.
Question: How does he know the location of every single elevator?
He finds them.
Andrew this is beautiful
thanks!
What was the fire alarm system at that place?

It's kind of strange to see these types of places completely empty with no one else. It's really cool though.

I really like building tours. You take more risks by exploring then I do
2:41 are those Crickets or Fan?

Interesting how they have Southern/Dover elevators and then a Schindler elevator!
