The movie also introduces Ulysses Klaue and the Vibranium he stole which sets up Black Panther. And because of what Ultron does with the Vibranium, it causes T'Chaka and the Wakandans to rethink their role in the world, which leads into the United Nations scene we get in Civil War.
Pinned
So that's why T'chaka was speaking at the UN. And all this time i kept wondering why the king of a insignificant nation became the speaker of the Sokovia accords.
He explains how it sets up Black Panther. It shows how vibranium is misused (by Ultron) which causes Wakanda to rethink how they use vibranium
Snehil Shrey f that hadn't been introduced in prior movies, all of what happens later would have felt like it came out of nowhere. The fights that took place in Africa, where Wakanda is (if that wasn't clear), did a lot of damage and took a lot of lives. That's the whole reason T'Chaka is introduced in Civil War. He was the representative for his home at the UN, then he's killed during it and his son is next in line to take the throne. And like Sean said, the differences between Tony and Steve, set up their feud in Civil War, as well. It isn't that hard to understand, dude. No need to get an attitude about it. lol
Age of Ultron didn't live up to the super hype but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie because it was. I love it & Ultron is a very underappreciated villain.
I agree on Ultron. Ultron sounds and looks scary. He has this presence that is like “oh my god...”
100% I just rewatched AOU on Disney plus first time since I saw it in theaters and it definitely holds up nicely. The opening scene is one of the BEST there is with the whole team kicking ass together.
AOU was underrated imo
I liked it
Never understood why some people hate this MCU movie I personally love this one
PlayboiJordan I love all of them. I think Iron Man 2 needs more love.
ikr its a great film, the only reason it gets hate is because its the weakest avengers film among the other 3
same
I LOVE Age of Ultron but that being said, I agree with all the criticisms you brought up.
I liked this film personally. When looking back I think Ultron knew a world ending threat was coming. He may not have known the name Thanos but maybe through the mind stone he's connected to him somehow. The Avengers were in the way of that.
This is one of my personal favorite Marvel films! I never had any issues with the pacing (though I can see where you're coming from with it) and I loved Ultron as a character. Another aspect I feel like should be talked about more from it that isn't is Hawkeye, he went from being a side character with barely any dialogue and personality in Thor and the Avengers to becoming one of the most relatiable and iconic Avengers in this film.
Avengers: AOU is my favorite Marvel movie. New characters, expanding character arcs, and awesome fight scenes!
I think it receives to much hate. Age of Ultron was awesome. Ultron was a great villain, I thought the pacing was great, and the character development was amazing.
Roman Yoder I agree so MUCH!
Roman Yoder Thanos was what Ultron should have been.
Nah it was just boring. I didn't really care for a villain that was just some robot and his goons. It just felt like there were no stakes involved, even if sokovia was about to fall (although even that didn't feel threatening because it seemed like almost everyone was evacuated from our view).
@@blackmamba3060 when Sokovia fell it would kill almost everyone in the world, because it had a vibanium bomb. It had stakes and a perspective on humanity opposite but as foreign as Vision's
@@NinaSelene Keep in mind I wrote that comment 3 years ago but stakes without any emotional backdrop are meaningless.
What I LOVED: Action, Acting, Effects, Music, Characters, Most of the Humor, & Chemistry between Characters.
What I HATED: The "Watch your Language" Gag
Overhated, Age of Ultron is a fantastic movie. It builds methodically up to a breath taking climax and has the audience laughing and teetering on the edge of their seat. It's action packed, emotional, and endlessly entertaining. Some of my favorite moments in the whole MCU are held here, namely the Hulk Buster fight and Scarlet Witches dreams... so much characterization. In comparison to the first Avengers, it's darker and more jam packed, while some say it's a bad thing, I embrace it. This is a part in a series, it's going to have elements that build to other movies, it's going to have some aspects that aren't fully explained yet, it's an episode. Age of Ultron seamlessly integrates beginnings and resolutions to stories while simultaneously telling a complete story. The Age of Ultron has a clear begging middle and end, I have no real problems with this movie, it's endlessly fun, and has a litany of amazing characters.
Age of Ultron narrowly edges out the first avengers, for its superior characterization, sublime action, and heartfelt core.
9.5/10
I liked Age of Ultron. It was the first time I had the opportunity to see an MCU movie in the theatres, and I loved every moment of it. My issue is that I was aware of Pietro's death going into it as I had gotten that spoiled for me, and that made that particular scene slightly less impactful on me. And I can agree with your criticisms on it, and it's not in my top five or anything, but I do love it.
(Also, Ulysses Klaue sat up parts of Black Panther in his cameo in the movie, that was a connection you missed)
So the next movie in the Infinity war challenge is Avengers Age of Ultron!
THIS WAS THE MOST HYPED MOVIE FOR ME.
I was more hyped for This than Civil war And It.
At First I was disapointed. I thought it was good But underwelming. But after rewatching it.
I love it. There are Some big problems. I love all the actors. The action scenes are amazing. I love How Everyone sees the Ultron stuff differently. I love the new introduced characters. After rewatching I like the movie ever more! Ultron is better than I remember. Yes he should have been This Dark And scary robot, Which he Sometimes actualy is. But still, he is cool And you understand him. People say killmonger has the best motivation. I think Its Ultron. He lives for peace, And That aint possible with humans. That is True. I also like That he wants to destroy life in the same way life has already done. It is never boring (for me) And I just love it. Also I just rewatches Thor Ragnarok And just like Ultron the Villain is great. But hela had so little screen time. Ultron on the other hand had way more screen time Which makes him a better Villain And one of My favorites. The interactions were great, And the Acting is also great. The effects are great. And the designs of Ultron And hulkbuster are bad ass. Except Ultron Prime, he does not look good. Just Grey And weird forms. I dont really know anything 'bad'. Yes the relationship between Bruce And Natasha is kind of weird, But I like it, they both are broken in There own way And I cant wait to see them in Infinity war again. Funny enough, hulk VS hulkbuster is one of My LEAST favorite action scenes in This movie XD. I dont know Why. And Ultron VS cap is one of My favorites. And the end credit scene is Awesome. But weird. Its distracting That Thanos And the gauntlet look different now. Just a nitpick.
I DO HAVE ONE BIG PROBLEM. ULTRON NOT BEING STRONG ENOUGH. I wanted him to have the face laser And wreck the Avengers, I wanted him to fight the avengers And almost defeat them. He would have been way more menacing.
I love it though.
This is a middle-of-the-road movie for me. Not bad, but not great either. It tries to do so much (A dark villain in Ultron, the Thor subplot, Hawkeye’s farm, the Hulk and Black Widow relationship, a lot of action, a lot of quips...) and it doesn’t all mesh well together into a focused, cohesive movie.
LegendOfPokemon middle of the road is such an apt description of how I feel. Not one I avoid watching, but not one I love
In terms of it being an episode in the infinity saga it does end up being more cohesive in the overall saga
It also sets up Spiderman: Homecoming at the end when they are moving to the new base.
Yes!
and antman
When you kook back Ultron wasn't that terrible; he was powerful and it took a being as powerful as Vision to take him down. Yes, at some points, as the host explained, he did turn charming Tony at the wrong cinematic time. Because he is Tony. Plus I think Ultron knew a cosmic threat was coming.
like how you involving your community by adding in clips of what we think at the end :)
This is my favorite of the MCU film. It's pretty underrated. This movie introduced me to Elizabeth Olsen and Scarlet Witch is my favorite MCU female character
This movie has it's flaws which I can perfectly agree with but it's one of my top 10 MCU films. Why I love it is because it's the second screening where we see all the avengers together, we get introduced to awesome new characters (Ultron, Klaue, Quicksilver, Wanda, Vision), has some amazing shots (opening fight and final fight), sets up other great movies (Civil War, Black Panther and Ragnarok), adds more members to the Avengers (Falcon, War Machine, Vision, Wanda) great dialogue and ideas. This is where it ranks for me:
1: Civil War
2: Avengers
3: Thor: Ragnarok
4: Black Panther
5: Guardians of the Galaxy
6: Avengers: Age Of Ultron
KingCodester111 where's winter soldier it's better than civil war
Winston Shih I think many movies in the MCU (including Civil War) are better than The Winter Soldier.
Here are the films I think are better than TWS
1. Spider-Man: Homecoming
2. Marvel's the Avengers
3. Iron Man 3
4. Iron Man
5. Captain America: Civil War
6. Black Panther
7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
8. Guardians of the Galaxy
9. Avengers: Age of Ultron
These films I think beat The Winter Soldier.
Christian Hallenbeck none of these films are close to tdk as winter soldier
Christian Hallenbeck or even logan
I forgot to note that I've only seen Winter Soldier once. I remember it being a good movie but I can't remember how good it was
I really thought Hawkeye was gonna die.
My ranking of the MCU films:
1) Winter Soldier
2) Civil War
3) Avengers
4) GOTG
5) Ragnarok
6) Black Panther
7) Iron Man
8) Homecoming
9) Doctor Strange
10) Cap 1
11) Ant-Man
12) GOTG Vol.2
13) Avengers 2
14) Thor
15) Iron Man 3
16) The Incredible Hulk
17) Iron Man 2
18) Thor 2
farman siddiqui Y u put Black Panther #6?
Party Boi so did i
u have Hulk and Ultron ranked way too low and GOTG way too high...i don't get how MCU reviewers rank the core Avengers lower than cosmic adventure type Guardians films.
Patrick Dixon sub me
Steven Hill you know what I don't get? Why you can't let other people have a different opinion.
Great job on your channel!
good review of the screen writing Sean!
20k subs congrats 😃
Wooooot!!!
Once again, best MCU reviewer out there!
great review man you made some pretty solid points on this movie and thanks for using my reaction
One of the consequences of the creation of Ultron is that it creates an entire arc in season 4 of agents of shield of the AI Aida which influences the LMD and Agents of HYDRA. Another thing is that when Quicksilver saves Hawkeye and dies, this sets up a comment in Civil War, where he says that "I owe a debt" in reference to owing Wanda through her brother's sacrificial death.
great content man! love the series
Thanks for watching
Dunno why but I enjoyed this movie a lot , it’s still better than all dceu movies apart from Wonder Woman
Scarlet witch was star of the movie...when she opened they minds...it was suppose to be a wicked thing but it became helpful...especially the the Thor sequence...he sees the either/reality stone...so he goes to seek answers(I know where he goes...do yooooou)lmao...that's why I said it will be hard to put in a movie but they have to do a Celestial something so ppl can understand what's going on...why Thenos is so interested in the stones
Infinity war is coming out april 27 so it is coming out 1 week early.
Amazing gamer mine too eyyy
Amazing gamer 25th for me :)
Amazing gamer Sean's still doing the series
Amazing gamer Thanks, Captain Obvious!
Well, I love this movie. It’s probably my 3rd favorite MCU movie.
I can definitely agree that the biggest difficulty for me watching this movie was confusion. First time I watched it, I was not prepared to try and understand all of the MCU, but that’s kinda what was expected. Then the next few times I watched, I started to understand what was happening that was unsaid, and understand so much more now even with Civil War and Ragnarok being out. Everything is easily understood now, but back then before those movies it was definitely difficult
I think this was my 5th time watching it and there was still 4 or 5 times I stopped to pause and make sure I was following what was going on.
I actually mapped out the plot. Functionally it’s more of a 5 act structure rather than 3. Each with their own internal conflict, beginning, middle and end. PLUS all of the subplots.
That’s so much stuff to keep track of.
Sean Chandler Talks About I’ll have to go watch it again and look at it from that angle. I can definitely imagine it having that feel to it, but what would you say are the marking points of each act?
I don't remember where I read this, but I read that the deal with Fox was why they killed Quicksilver and not Scarlet Witch in the MCU, as Quicksilver is alive at Fox and not Wanda.
On Agents od SHIELD, Reina saw the metal men right as the movie was coming out.
Ultron's role in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite had him discover a parallel world. He would find another like him, Sigma in Mega Man X's Abel City. Ultron and Sigma combine to become Ultron-Sigma and use the Space and Reality Stone to cause the Convergence, an event that would bring two worlds together. Abel City and Asgard converged into Xgard and the Sigma Virus enslaves the Xgardians (and eventually Thor). Betraying Thanos and locking him up under Xgard, they also align with Jedah Dohma who takes the Symbiote and the Soul Stone to the Makai Realm. The heroes rise up and band together to save their newly combined world.
Ive been waiting for this video since last week apisode
Woot woot!!
Hey, Sean. What score would you give this movie?
Seems like the last few you haven't really done the "making of" segments that you kicked off the first ones with! I hope you get back to that, since I really enjoy that part!
Regardless, *awesome* series, man! Really enjoying your perspective and the depth with which you go into things!
I really liked this movie. It may not be as good as the first but it was still really fun! Can’t wait for your next video!
Thx for adding me at the end
No problem
My thoughts on Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
The Good:

Overall Score: 7/10
Entertainment Score: 8/10
Grade: B
Awesome review
If it would have had some more of the iconic moments I’d rank it a lot higher but it was really great when I rewatched it there is so much in the movie
Best part about mondays
Underrated 9/10
MAN I was supposed to do a Stardust Reaction to all of these lol especially this one and Winter Soldier #MyTop2
Haha. There’s always ant man!
We start at Avengers Tower, we a bus go by on a field trip. Two best friends are sitting together played by Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon. They arrive at OSCORP(We don't know it's OSCORP). Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon exit the bus and are taken around OSCORP. During a science demonstration from Dr. Otto Octavius, Tom Holland gets bit
This film was more of a welcome to Scarlet Witch and Vision
Since the date was pushed up are you going to have enough time to finish this with one movie a week?
I’m pretty sure I address that in the first 30 seconds of this video. Haha
I have this one ranked at number 13 with a 8.1/10
Also in the show Agents Of S.H.E.I.L.D, Phil talks with Maria about the scepter and that's how it opened the movie. a lso one of the inhumans in the show said there will be men of metal tearing our world,
I recently rewatched this movies and found it alot better than I remembered it. I actually prefer Age of Ultron to the original Avengers. Joss Whedon is such a fantastic writer he gave Ultron some really fantastic lines in this. Love alll the Vision and Ultron scenes and the fact that Hawkeye is given alot to do. This film is seriously, seriously underrated. Ultron is a fantastic villan. The script is really outstanding. It's got so much depth. Also I love the chemistry between them all. I love how they can just sit around and have a normal conversation. I also appreciated the little things about the film a.ka Don Cheadle is fantastic. The way he is so proud of being War Machine and kept trying to tell his War Machine story had me cracking up. I also prefer this Quicksilver to the X-Men version.I also love the back and forth dialogue Quicksilver and Hawkeye have throughout the movie. Most powerful line comes from Ultron, like the one he said to Captain America was really chilling when he told him "Pretending you can live without a war" Great review btw. What did you find confusing in the film btw? I thought all the scenes all made sense and it didn't feel over crammed or cluttered at all. You also missed the connection to Black Panther. The vibranium and Klaue. This film is so underrated. My new top 18:
1. Iron Man
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Black Panther
4. Avengers Age Of Ultron
5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1.
6. Avengers Assemble
7. Captain America: Civil War
8. Thor Ragnorok
9. Spider-Man Homecoming
10. Ant-Man
11. Doctor Strange
12. Thor
13. Iron Man 3
14. Captain America: The First Avenger
15. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
16. Thor: The Dark World
17. Iron Man 2
18. The Incredible Hulk
Can u please talk about your top ten favorite Disney movies? For example the Lion King and Pinocchio. (not counting Pixar or Marvel)
You don’t do the background information about the movies anymore? I really enjoyed that 😭
I didn't for this one. With Guardians I integrated it into the review. It's time consuming to do it, and some movies just don't have much of a backstory. Nothing struck me in the Ultron backstory to justify the time.
Ant-Man will DEFINITLY have a background section.
I love how here (and all of the movies for that matter) show that Tony isn't the best fighter. He gets shot A LOT, but his suit protects him. War Machine, for instance, is much more efficient with a smiliar suit.
Completely agree with Ultron. In the trailers, he looked so menacing. Particularly the Klaue scene was just out of place
Scarlet witch should be considered a villain. She literally manipulated tony into making ultron then in civil war she is all of a sudden “fighting against” iron man just b/c he did try to contain her since she is a bit of a loose cannon.
It's litteraly right in the middle of the Marvel Movies.Somewhere between 9-11th place. It's fun film tho
Also are you going to put out a Wrinkle in Time review?
I don’t think so. I won’t see it until this weekend and you’re the first person to ask about it.
I was post a reaction on Stardust.
Hey, I totally asked about Wrinkle in Time review, does your sister not count?
Do all main star wars villans ranked
You should do this for solo if there is still time
I liked this movie, I know a lot of people are not fond of it and a lot of people are, but I think it is a really solid movie.
There are no strings on me
This along with the Incredible Hulk is the most underrated MCU movie to me
My MCU rankings so far:
1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. The Avengers
4. Avengers: Age of Ultron
5. Iron Man
6. Captain America: The First Avenger
7. Thor
8. Iron Man 2
9. Iron Man 3
10. The Incredible Hulk
11. Thor: The Dark World
aand... Hulk vs Hulkbuster!! yaayyyy
There's to many plotlines and it doesn't really have the tone the other movies have. And the death is a rolling eyes moment, but the action scenes are great and it has great future links and foreshadowing
I like every character in this movie and they serve the plot very well. The pacing is a bit confusing, yet still good. I love the story about Ultron and Tony Stark and I am sad that they did not use Abomination as a side villain. Some of the things in this movie are a bit stupid, but they are still fun. The new additions are great, however Quicksilver shouldn't have been killed off.
8/10 B+
Taika Waititi be like: "Thor jumps into a hot dog? why didn't I put that in Ragnarok??!"
I"ve got more ideas where that came from!!!
Will you be reviewing Jessica Jones season 2?
I think so. I’m 8 episodes in
Darth Awesome No she is irrelevant
So So Daredevil is irrelevant to the entire MCU but everyone loves him.
It's an amazing movie visually... Alot of plot holes and confusing at some times. But still an enjoyable MCU movie. 6/10. I love lissen to you talk about this stuffs!!! Keep it up bro! 😃😃😃❤️@seanchandler
I’m glad they didn’t kill off Hawkeye. I know that a lot of people think he’s a crappy superhero, but I personally like his character I think he was written quite well.
+SeanChandlerTalksAbout your videos are awesome bro👌 please make a video ranking Dceu superheroes & villians!!
Thanks for watching.
I definitely have plans for the dceu!
Bhaskar Singh They’re all at the bottom then lol
Top ten MCU moments.
I didnt think this movie was that confusing, I understood it pretty well and thought it wasn't that clutterd
I love this movie. The only thing is it’s kinda impossible to live up to the hype of the first avengers
I still love this movie. I still really don’t understand most of the hate and criticism about it. It’s not as good of a movie as the original Avengers, but I think I like it just a little more. Great video as always though Sean
It's a decent movie. Quicksilver was the biggest fuck-up, I think and Ultron is an OK villain but he is definitely weak for the Phase 2 big bad.
Good content man!
I felt like Hawkeye’s family was rushed, the expectations from Avengers left us disappointed, and Quicksilver’s death was easy and lazy. Loved science bros interactions
I liked the idea of Banner and Natasha but I found the actual relationship rather forced and not very believable. That was one of my negatives. The movie was disappointing on first watch due to expectations. When I watched it again, lowered expectations, it was enjoyable. I feel like the first avengers and winter soldier made me expect near perfection.
Total dopeness
I love that this was the last movie where the avengers where still a team and everything was good after this movie everything went downhill for every character
U missed the black panther set up
Shoot! That was a huge one!
Sean Chandler Talks About yet Ryan coogler Rian Johnsoned the aou and bp link
This was fun and i prefer the humour of this movie than the guardians of the galaxy movie.
Rank The Dark Knight Trilogy
I’ve ranked batman movies as a group. I haven’t done just that one trilogy though.
I agree about Quicksilver!!!!
They really shouldn’t have chosen him. At all.
I personally liked the film but I still feel it lacked the smoothness and emotion that the first Avengers film had. Otherwise a great film that set up phase 3 real nice.
I think ultron is great. He is a charasmatic, layered vilain with great voice work
Now i imagine thor actualy jump into a hotdog n this is ao funny , i cant unsee it in my mind
Now that would have been unexpected!
Sean Chandler Talks About lol
Both "Age of Ultron" and "Justice League" reminded me of each other. Problematic beginning, decent middle and shitty last act.
Quicksilver's death was more about Wanda than Hawkeye. Wanda's story has always been about grief. In this movie the twins were mourning about their parents death. This is the start of Wanda's story leading up to WandaVision. ❤️ Quicksilver is almost a plot device for her arc. This movie was a set up for a lot projects that came later. Andy Serkis for Black Panther, Hulk leaving Earth for Thor Ragnarok, Civil War & WandaVision. ❤️ And for me, Vision was introduced not just because he's the one capable to defeating Ultron but also as a tease for Wanda and Vision's love story. Vision saving Wanda was my favorite part of the movie. ❤️ The only con for me was Ultron's mouth was too soft, it felt unrealistic.
I personally love Age of Ultron, its really underrated and receives too much hate, I love Scarlet Witch so much.
Pietro and Wanda immediately became my favorite MCU siblings of all time, and their relationship was lovely to watch.
Pietro was gone way too soon, if only he lived long enough to see how amazing Wanda's doing today, he would've been so proud of her. He also missed out tons of chances to bond with his sister😢😭😢😭😢😭 He still lives on in Wanda's heart, I'm sure of it💔💔💧💧
I really hope he comes back in a future movie, someday, somehow, someway (There's nothing wrong with hoping)
my score a pulse entertainment level 9.5
Sooo, I totally agree with everything you said. The movie expects us to have watched episodes of Agents of SHIELD, and expects us to soak up info like a sponge. It's sets up Civil War perfectly, but flops on Ragnarok. The whole character of Thor is sooooo BORING. They could have written him out of the movie, and I would've been happier. Now about Ragnarok, they clearly expected that movie to go in a different direction. If they were insure about where the movie was heading, then they should've just scrapped that scene. Also, Wanda's powers are vague. She gets inside your brain, can make you see visions, read your mind, and set up future movies..? Like someone explain to me how she tailors each vision to effect the person when she doesn't even know them personally! Also, you forgot the fact that Hawkeye and Black Widow we're shoved down our throats. Yes. We get it. Common people like them help keep the other superpower people at Bay. They set up Hawkeye, but gave him a barn to lounge in. That is my least favorite part of the movie. It moves too slow, and grumpy Thor leaves 2 seconds after they step into the door. But, on the other hand it sends a message, that sometimes The Avengers need to remember how important it is to live a normal life and to appreciate the common people. And one last thing, poor Quicksilver. And I do like Ultron. He's like the best part of the movie, I just wish they went into more detail about what he can do. As always, great video Sean!
I like this movie a lot more than most people do
I’m so happy they pushed The Avengers Infinity War forward now I will go see and can see Deadpool.
my acule score a entertainment level 9.5
Rank Disney Dark Age with Rachel
Maybe I’ll need to watch them
Sean Chandler Talks About You’ve probably seen a few of them (there are eight)
I’ve probably seen all of them, but I don’t do my rankings on old knowledge and experiences. If it’s not a franchise I regularly watch anyway, I rewatch all the movies so I can speak intellgiently
Third.....k bye bois
Love u sean
personally i loved this movie(maybe a bit more than the 1st one)
Now it makes me think that x men is in the mcu becaise of scarlett and quicksilver since theyre the children of Magneto
AR punks technically magneto died from a bombshell
