I watched this video right before my dad called me that my fish died because of some of these symptoms can I get some goodbyes from u guys for my betta
My betta PD just died while I was talking with my mom, and he was swimming around regularly, then I look back and he's laying on the aquarium floor, he looked healthy, nothing wrong that I could see, it was so abrupt I wasn't able to try treatments. He was "just a fish " but for me he's a part of my fin fam. My favorite buddy. I'm so sad that he's past🙁
I'm glad my fish isn't sick , I've had him for over a year now and he's doing great ! I'm starting to get attached to it. My only fish that has lived the longest compared to my past fishes. Unfortunately, they died due to sickness or were already sick when bought. Btw that song tho !
My half moon Betta has not been eating and laying on his side for 2 weeks now. Someone at a local pet shop suggested that I dissolve a regular strength Aspirin in his tank......1 tablet for every 10 gallons! 24 hours later he is swimming, blowing bubbles and eating again! Worth a try!
Help please! So I have my Betta fish fof a week now, and he was in a 1 gallon bowl for 3 days. Now he is in a 2.6 gallon tank with right temperature, loads of plants and all of that stuff. When he was in the bowl he was really active, but now in the new tank he just goes under the plant in the corner and just sits there until I call him. Sometimes he comes and swims around, but he does it slowly and does not seem active. I want him the best life, I am so worried. He does eat really good and he wants his food. He does not have these simptoms. At least I don't think he has. He just isn't active and seems sad. PLEASE HELP
Lizete Z | i Own bettas myself. It maybe be because it is scared of something. It must be where (not the tank) the fish is put. Where did you put your fish? I have bettas who have seen me everyday, and some of my members, and they don't get scared. They don't hide in their plants. Maybe it's because it is aware of its surroundings, and think it's things around it might be dangerous. That's what I think. Sorry it has been 1 week.
kyle wuvswubs Yes but bettas all have different personalities it's just unusual for one to like a small space, you hear stories of it alot. Betta from 2.5 to a 10 and then prefers a 2. And he moved the fish from his home too. That stresses them out
I knew my fish was sick when I got it and that's also the reason I got it. I got the sick fish because I wanted it to live the best life possible before my fish passes, however, I got my fish about 6 months ago and she is only now showing signs that she is going to die soon.
My betta fish has some of these signs but I am going to wait a while before I see what's wring because i just got him today and he is really stressed out so I am going to give it 48 hours (2 days) to see if he is not sick

I've had my Betta fish for a little over a month now and I did a 100% water change today because I noticed the shell decor I added started growing green stuff. It's now night time and I noticed that she keeps going to the surface and barely moving. I'm not sure if she is sleeping and tired or there's something wrong with her because there are times when she would swim around. Could anyone tell me if this is normal? Thanks!
Yes I did. When I bought my Betta, the pet store owner said that a fish bowl should be just fine. But now that I'm doing my research, everyone is recommending that I should use at least 2.5-5 gal tank. Could that be the issue? Also I went to check again and I did see Malou swimming around the bowl again. Hopefully she was just tired and sleepy awhile ago and is getting adjusted to the water change I did. Another issue was I noticed that Malou's tail isn't as full as the other Bettas I'm seeing on other videos. Hopefully it's not a fin rot. So much to learn!

When I got home yesterday my grandma had cleaned his fish bowl she didn't do it properly. She was just trying to help out but she ended up putting freezing water and no water conditioner when I saw this I immediately changed his water to room temperature and put the conditioner but a little later he was acting really weird. He was just letting himself float down and he was twitching, heavily breathing, swimming really fast.After that he stopped moving and he wasn't breathing so I took him out and poked him still no movement. So he did pass. I took care of him how I was instructed idk what happened but he is gone and will be missed :( rip

My betta is always going to the top of the tank and seeming to take in air. But that's the only sign of 'sickness' I've seen. He constantly is making a bubble nest and he's very active. I'm just worried for him. I clean his tank once a month and I feed him about 5-6 pellattes of his food every morning. Am I doing something wrong? He also has moss balls, a log, and a leaf bed. I wonder if he's just stressed from the new décor?

Great video but I think there should be a mention that there are Bettas who are bred to have fins that look like they're shredded: Crowntail Betta (fin rot with these is noticeable when the tips look like they've been torn off). Fin rot is also noticeable by the white/diluted color edges appearing abnormally around the Betta's fins.
my betta charlie has been rubbing against the tank wall and just a little while ago has been making me nervous by suddenly sinking to the floor and being still. Rachel yes, if he has grown since you bought him, it's natural for his colour to change that way. If any more symptoms begin to show themselves, please get your fish help. But at the moment, he is fine
Water changes 25% every week and filter changes every 2 - 3 weeks, cleaning inside tank and cleaning gravel or sand will keep your fish and tank healty. Dont over crowed like in this video, far too many fish in a small tank. I have 8 fish in a 54l 11 gal tank and that the limit.

In this case, it might be that your fish doesn't like the food you're giving it. Try changing its food to see if it prefers the new food.

To me, I think your light is too bright and you should decrese the brightness of the tank

Jessie Hyman Most likely a chemistry change or ammonia spike. Always do a water change when something like that happens.
a month ago I woke up to the same thing. my two goldfish were dead. they had a 10 gallon tank and they were from Walmart so that's probably why they died :T

i put pieces of garlic in the filter making the water smell, garlic bits in its fish food, and put atleast 2 1/2 pinches of salt and some water conditioner theyre happy again, eating and swimming around with eat other.. *do not try because i am not 100% sure it will work* btw theyre comet goldfishes
