Wow, the change of direction in the fouettès like Maya!! I love watching Victoria because at such a young age she has mastered excellent use of her head & upper body and with a lot of personality & feeling, as well having good core technique. That's what makes her stand out, she is developing the artistry as well as technique. I think it's very smart of the teachers to get Victoria doing this variation in flats first, this beautiful child has a bright future ahead of her.
No no no. Look at what shes doing. The music. This is ballet. Its very American to insert yourself. Its obnoxious. But Eva wouldnt obviously do it here, but still. Youre all making it a bit like Amercian football.
@@EvidentlyFire what? 😂 i was literally just commenting. eva says that all of the time. it was a joke. why are you bringing american football into this? im a dancer myself.
Going en dehors to en dedans in the grand fouettes en tournant without missing a beat is impressive, especially given her age. And her ankle articulation is gorgeous! Can't wait to see where her artistry and technique take her. I applaud her teachers for letting her compete off-pointe, and for selecting an age appropriate variation for her. So many teachers go for variations way too old for the dancer and they have no emotional context for the piece. Beautifully chosen, beautifully coached, and beautifully danced!
Hello Victoria Carrillo, I'm Arianna, I wanted to tell you that you are very good at dancing ballet but also other dances because I have seen many of your other dances, I also do ballet but I can admit that you are much better than me😊😊😊😊
This was so beautiful. And I'm so glad they haven't put her en pointe too early. I cringe every time I see an 11-12 year old competing en pointe, because that means they started pointe at 8 or 9, way before the ankles and feet could possibly be ready.
I actually wish that more ballet (like, at least some of professional adult ballet) was done NOT en pointe, as I much prefer seeing the dancers dance like this with their natural feet - this might be an unpopular opinion, but to me personally it actually looks nicer as it's more natural overall - like, the dancer's movements are always more natural and flowy and they look more light and ethereal when they do jumps, whilst en pointe it always looks sort of more stiff and clunky to me.
I would really love if more variations were off Pointe as well. It does look more natural over all especially with jumps. Something about turns and echappes en pointe have a different quality than on flat to me though
There’s nothing like turns on pointe. It looks like they are gliding in a circle. Sooo beautiful. But yes- I’d love to see more pro dance in flat shoes!

I can't believe she changed direction during the fouettès like Maya did! And she's in flat shoes! That has to be so hard. What a talented kid. Bravo!
