NRIs whose parents migrated to USA in the 80s and 90s painted a very bad picture of India so they appreciate where they are and work hard. It got psyched inside them as a common myth. India changed a lot in 30 years but they haven't shrugged off this image and leave no opportunity to downplay India. You can see that in Hasan Minhaj's special too and many more.
If by "bad picture", you mean the Apu stereotype, then there is definite truth to that. Even to this day, you can go to any 7-Eleven convenient store in Chicago, and you'll see an Indian or Pakistani guy behind the counter. But the problem with stereotypes is that while they are based in truth, people assume that they describe 100% of the people in a given group, when they probably don't even represent half of them.

American kids seem to be more sensitive(stereotypically) while indian kids are not much affected usually. I never heard in my life someone being laughed out of school, thats too much
No no there has been, especially in colleges but its not as significant. I may be wrong but I believe it just cuz in most schools, you'd be in a more controlled setting, rendering it difficult for bullies to do something physical in most cases (although emotional bullying would still exist) while in colleges, where youre seen as adults and are all on your own, its easier because of the concept of hazing that can be taken too far by the wrong people. Then again, the widespread opinion of Indians is the "It happens to everyone, its not a big deal". Which can be a boon or a bane depending on the circumstance. Most american students that Ive noticed, stay out of school because of the long term mental and physical abuse(especially children of colour) which I believe wont happen in India, unless the individuals in question are extremely maladaptive(personality or environment vise).Children belonging to families of middle class and below ,who fall victim to SA go to the same school because theyre not taught to talk about it. There are cases in backward villages where even teachers choose to emotionally bully the 'backward' castes. They just decide to endure it as theres no way out. @@psychadelicpotato8580 I think you are also taking about the India 10 years ago.. I actually had a talk about this with my cousins and brother cause of 3 idiots movie.. And 2-3 rd oldest said that they heard rumors but never witness it happening..and then the younger then them did not even heard rumors.. I am the youngest so I also told them same with me,, there was no bullying... But like we had 58 students in one class and we knew everyone's name but not all were close with each other and everyone lived in the different parts of city that's why we could not hang out after school.. Cbse school was a lot bigger and had many amenities but village school had social bond... In city school everyone was kind too.. Like in my school there were many types of people like who come from middle class income families and who are rich and who are super rich...and the thing is everyone was nice that no one could really differentiate between who is rich and who is not... Like I got many shockers in that school after realizing that this person I have talked with for years is actually a millionaire but they don't seems like a stereotypical rich like my classmate's dad was a huge politician and I had zero idea until I accidentally saw them on parents teacher meeting.. My other classmate always used to bring the same chocolate for 3 times in a row for his birthday (BTW it was really good) and I asked him where did he bought that cause like did you got discount or something getting it in a bulk and it turned out its because it's from his dad's chocolate factory that he owns (I did got lots of free chocolates after that from him cause I said I loved them)... You two probably know a lot more about India and Indian culture than akash.
is tie the same thing when we make fun of non indians ,, while you can poke fun at anyone at anytime you want you dont want them to poke fun at you ,,, perhaps you are the oen who has been in colonial hangover so you feel the need to pass of every white person as having a colonial mindset and his indian friends as slaves ,,,, you jkust want to hear all the good things from a non indian especailly a white person that boosts your ego and any non indian making a simple joke hurts you way too much ,,, and no these two dont know about india and indian culture more than akash ,,,
Kept holding the number '3' on my keyboard while this video was playing. Produces a new kind of sound.

I completely agree with Achara about not having any native Americans integrated in the society and lack of their heritage in the USA.
Are you American?

Good thing he mentioned Steve Buscemi... I was wondering why his voice seemed so familiar!

Toilet jokes are getting old now, not a fan of Indian Americans be it on the left or the right, both appropriate culture according to their convenience.
He thinks Indian never saw toilets before coming to America... Taking too far
He's talking in context to 90s
Very true @htnarihC but no worries its just a matter of time and things will surely change 😎
@@karankapoor2701 many states in india have never had toilet issues even in 90's just so you know
React to Kashmir files it will be really a shocking one for you.
React on 'The Kashmir Files' trailer released today
Btw India invented toilets... When the rest of the world was still in caves...
Hadappa and Mohanjodaro still hold the proof at display.....
Probably tomorrow our commodes will be laughed at by our future generations....
Its good for humour and we should take it as that, not that Im saying anyone's judging here :)
Harappa and mohenjo-daro displayed all kinda of impressive behaviours.
But what matters is the present.
Even if you tell the world India was quite ahead of its time in Pre and Proto-historic period the next question would be "what about now?"
We have evolved backwards yet theres no insight
harappa and mohen jodaro were urban centre which was not the case in the following years after indus valley
I would rather stay in India poor rather than dying in a gun violence.
Kareena Kapoor evolution video plzzzzz
Okayish standup if I'm being honest 🤷🏻♂️

@@karankapoor2701 bad standard to compare to
LOLS 😆😆😂😂😂 TRUE AF! ... 😆😂😂😂🤣🤣
Only problem I have with akaash is he uses demeaning India and defaming India for views, he's so far from the reality of India is beyond me but yes I do agree that this victimhood agenda doesn't help Indians
