give this man a breakand some respect all of his videos are nicely made and made for us ..
since we all know that it is a pulse induction and not a pulse introduction ..
the fact of the matter is that we all know what he ment
if we are only here to make fun about someone who is making an effort for a possible buyer and is just here to help us ..
    who cares
maybee rented by whites ,or sponsored , so what in a way we are all sponsered by someone .
great job man , great vidthank you for sharing and me and my buddies always want to go out again when we see your,e vids
    keep them coming

Thanks for this. I bought the two dial machine new maybe 25 years ago for diving. Now I’m retired and pulled the machine out for beach hunting. Forgot how to use it. My Garrett dry machine had the corroded cable so I ordered a new coil. I’ll be back in business soon. Big help. Thank you.

Been using my pulse for over 20 yrs. now with zero problems with it. The machine runs just fine on the presets. If you want to pinpoint with it just turn the coil on its side, narrow side to the target, move until you get the best response, the target will be just under the curve of the coil. Good hunting!!

Thank you, for the easy to understand tutorial on the metal detectors. I have wanted to buy one for a year now but was too overwhelmed by the numerous models and makes of units. I have been doing some research and have found that this UA-cam video was the best explanation on the difference between the pulse induction and the discriminating models. Now all I have to do is find a used one at a good price.

I have one of the earlier versions of the Surf Masters... yes it does find a lot of junk... mostly old fishing weights, old hooks, leader material etc. but it's also found a tiny piece of rusted something about a 1/16"Sq. so it is pretty sensitive.... Maybe a little more sensitive than some of the coments made by some of the earlier people (pros) concerned with what PI really means..... ok we get it....
yea it doesn't discriminate junk, buy that's ok too.... I'll dig it.... just because!
I know of other detectors that will pass up stuff because they thought it to be junk.... but also were mistaken. And there's those that thought a target was junk, and it ended up being a smaller silver coin etc.... they are good machines. I like them and mine, and I'll stick with it. And thanks for the video. Even if I think I know, it never hurts to listen and maybe pick up on something you didn't know....

Love your videos. I was considering making my TDI SL waterproof or possibly getting a dual field pi. The SL goes so deep but at the moment all I have done is paint the circuit board with liquid tape and under all the potentiometers and connectors. I have used it in the rain for extended periods of time and have had a few waves sneak up on me and soak the unit but surprisingly it still seems to function great. I'm sure eventually it will crap out on me for the abuse. Keep up the great vids

Nice Video, I have the surf pi pro and is the best model they made so far, I heard the duel field is not as good? but i can say set the gain real high and the threshold low so when you swing and lower your coil it falses a little, If to high it will false even more, I find that its very sensitive to gold and when you go over a good target it bangs loud, when over large iron keep the search coil still, If it nals out its large iron or tin can, swing the coil fast when you hit a target swirl your coil if it breaks up its garbage, New pull tabs are thin and use the swirl motion and it should sound like trash, I use the pi pro at our beaches it the best dry sand plus low tide ever made, For surf hunting i use the Minelab excal 800 blue one the best for me, The pi will go deeper but harder to pin point than the excal 800, I have tons of hours on the surf pi pro and it out performed my Garrett atx which i sold it after being very disappointed on the depth compared to the pi pro, Like weight, simple sounds, stable operating, great depth for price, not worth the price, But for gold prospecting atx will outshine, But for beach hunting Whites surf pi pro will be the winner all the way & anyone that owns the pi pro knows and wont sell it GL HH

I need another detector at this time since my AT PRO had to be sent in for repairs. In the month of August jut to think summer is almost over with depositors at the beaches going away.

I just got the surf master PI today the guy who sold it to me did not know how to use it and just wanted to get rid of it i air tested it and it seemed to detect silver and gold just fine .I got home and was inspecting the o rings and they are dry rotted and seems i will not be able to use it in the water till i get the o rings replaced and the lower shaft coil mounting bracket is broke i did locate where to order the lower shaft and rubber washers and plastic bolts at whites on line but will still need it inspected for being water tight i found the service center in florida which is just 3 hours from my home and will be delivering it there in person for this service . Just watched your informative video about this machine ..

Gary, I have a DF, I never use the pulse delay, it stays off. The wobble usually comes from gain set too high... I run the gain just under the preset, and threshold just audible.... A lower gain setting on this machine does not always mean less depth, with these settings I dug a dime at "20 in wet beach sand, try it, hope it helps !

Ok, here we go again. Modern batteries shouldn't leak BUT! The only reason we open the waterproof case when not in use is because of temperature changes which in turn create pressure inside the housing. If you left the detector in your car in summer for instance you should release the lid, or top if you like, because if you don't and pressure builds to a certain level then you stand a chance of cracking the case.

I have like 300 dollars thank you points with credit card and can use them on amazon,so it might be better to buy a new one on amazon .My cheap or frugal side says to buy on craigs list, but my cautious side says to buy new.

Hello Diggingdetecter, I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a metal detecter for the beach. Ive been using the DFX for sometime and have found many good finds in the dry sand, even in sanded areas. However i'm at a crossroads between the MXT ALL PRO, or the SURFMASTER PI PRO. I called a dealer the other day and asking if he had the Surfmaster in stock and he was adamant on steering me to purchase the MX SPORT. Whats your professional thoughts on this matter?
