    Nice vid, thanks for sharing, did my F1 in IOW and was also living at Solent building at the time. We didn't have that big handover meeting at the time, must be a new thing since that poor CQC rating they received that year.

      What are the average age for med registrars in NHS ?
      Im 30 years old with 3 years expert in Cardiology .. not entire general medicine experience ... That's why i feel intimidated
      What are your thoughts about it ?

      @@tareknasr7061 Average age is normally late twenties, early thirties. Most medical registrars here have done 2-3 years of internal medicine training. But your experience in cardiology will be useful as well.

    Im a junior doctor from sri lanka,i finished my internship and moved to USA as my husband is studing here,i like doing plab,do i have to do ielts too????

      Hi, it will depend on your primary medical qualification. You might need IELTS for GMC registration. It is best to check with the GMC with regards to whether you will need IELTS or not.

    Dr Lavnaya, is it possible to register as GP dermatology after doing mrcp and 2 yr dermatology training??

      Yes, Most IMGs apply for a non-training post for 6-12 months before entering specialty training. This will give you NHS experience before entering a training programme.

      No, not always. Only when you are on-call.

    1. What are work hours like for SHOs and Medical Registrars

      Hi, the work hours will depend on your contract. It is normally around 40 hours/ week.
      Normal day shifts are 9-5.
      Long days 9-21
      Nights 21-9

      @@deepakrathod8063 Hi, after doing 4 night shifts (12 hours each), you get 2-3 days off. You also get a day off pre-nights.

    What is a registrar in medicine ?

      Hi, I am actually Malaysian, tamil origin. Well done for completing MBBS. To work in the UK and register with the GMC, you can start by doing PLAB.
