When we visit we don't stay at resorts. We eat in the community, buy from roadside locals, and drink at Kabawès. We tip big and try to leave as much money in SLU as we can. So much of the tourism money doesn't even stay on the island.

This clip actually shows how bad the St Lucian economy is?? That's very malicious!

Absolutely love St Lucia. Been a few times. Last time we stayed at st James club but hired a car and spent a lot of time in the south by vieux fort. Love it

Don’t be patronizing. A lovely destination worth visiting.

Economies are bad globally. UK is in recession. Americans are complaining about high prices.

Here is why I don't see a future for St.Lucia. It Needs these Two things in Order to be Successful, the ability to provide a good educations to most people that teaches them skills and civility so they can be productive, in other words the development of human capital from the start. 🫶🏾This teaching comes from parents and teachers who instill good values and principles to be productive with other. 🫡The second is an environment that gives people the resources that they can be productive. 🗣At its best that environment provides financial capital that comes from, banks, investors to invest in those who are capable of being productive. This environment, must be a civil place to live, work and raise ones family. Ideally making it a place with many exciting people doing exciting things so that its a creatively stimulating environment. In other words having the right people in the right environment that supports productive creativity is what it takes.
