Did you notice as the bear was crossing the road she looked to the right to make sure no on coming traffic. Smart bear, 399 taught her well. Perfect music to go along with your artsy bug shots. Lovely work Steve, have a great weekend .
Love the video. Was in GTNP early May and fortunate to see 610 with her cubs with snow falling right by the willows where you parked in this video. Love that bear. The fly hatching photos are incredible!! What a sight!
Nice. I did the sane thing at the end of June. Left my camper at Colter Bay and drove over to the same area around the dam for 4 mornings and evenings. No bears! Swans, elk and otters. Ended up finding bears up in Yellowstone the following week. Thanks for sharing.
I was in the Tetons last year and lucky to catch a big Grizzly in and out of the Snake River, was late to the shot and just had a side shot in the water and full drenched body out, still dripping, what a magical place.
Gobsmacked! First time seeing a Caddisfly hatch like that. Your amazing video and photographs are stunningly beautiful. If being jazzed by these images is nerd aesthetic, I’m heading to Comic-Con dressed as a Caddisfly.
Love the rambling, knowledge, content..dry sense of humor kills me. Been shooting for 10 years and always learn something from you. Bears frolicking vid few weeks back “rambling” was epic! From HB, CA. Keep’em coming.
Amazing Steve, the Caddisfly video and images where awesome. It looked like a snowstorm in summer. "Nature is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get”, I think that is how the quote went? :))) Thanks again for sharing.
Great morning! We are considering a trip out to Yellowstone next year and maybe check out Teton while there. We are looking at 7 days and I am pretty certain that will not be near enough time. Thanks for sharing all of the adventures that you have with us!
Good morning Steve wonderful wonderful photography you know your shit you are very good at what you do keep sharing the good stuff be safe in the wilderness carry some bear spray
Looks like a great time. Caddies photos were amazing. In your opinion, where’s the best spot to camp in GT? We stayed at Colter Bay 2 years ago and loved it. Will be returning soon hopefully. Thanks Steve.
I had my closest owl encounter recently. It was kinda dark, in a wooded parking lot with storms rolling in. Fortunately the barred owl was still long enough and close enough to fill the frame. 1/20th f6.3 iso 5000 worked. Unfortunately I trimmed it's tail feathers slightly. Filling the frame really helps with keeping detail at high iso. Great video👍👍
Great video! Loved the grizzly shots and yeah the caddis flies vid and pics are awesome. In some of the shots it looks like they congregate at the tops of the confers- do you know what attracts them to that spot? Great stuff and commentary!! Thanks😊
Amazing, 30 degrees. It gets all the way down to 80 this time of year in Florida and then highs of 95 is pretty normal. I would really like the 30s right about now. Thanks for the great bear video
Is that a scar above 610's eye? I saw her a few days before she was hit by the vehicle last October. So glad she survived, I would love to see her again!
Those fly images were incredible, I have never seen anything like that before. As a bird photographer, I thought where are the Flycatchers and Swallows?
Steve, a weird question I know but seeing that bear crossing the road I was wondering if bears ever get hit by traffic out there? Great video and images as usual.

Wow, that caddis fly hatch was awesome! Interesting how they swarmed at the very top of the conifers.
Fantastic video! Love the grizzly but the flies at the top of the trees were surreal.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Early bird gets the worm!!!
👍
Just a typical morning in Jackson….Wildlife walking right by your car
Only two months until I’m back! One day for the wedding and another 5 for photography.
Hey Steve, way to "bug us."
👍
Steve, a weird question I know but seeing that bear crossing the road I was wondering if bears ever get hit by traffic out there? Great video and images as usual.
Sadly….yes,obviously I’m not Steve,more so in Yellowstone.
This bear that Steve showed us in this video (610) was hit by a vehicle in October. Luckily she is ok.
True
Got a couple of decent shots at 1/80th and 6400. That's why a 2.8 is needed for early morning, late evening bird/wildlife photography!
Yep
Almost looked like the tops of the trees were exploding with pollen 😮
It was crazy
All I ever see are White Pelicans down there!😂
I dig those pelicans…
Jack Lemmon look alike
