The reason for a lot of blank background is that Kubo wants to focus all the attentions to the facial expressions so we can fell the emotions of the characters even more. And that's what makes Kubo different from the other, he doesn't need background to becomes the GOAT.

@@unknownmg7470 I’m not saying rumors are true, I’m just saying that there were A LOT of them surrounding Bleach and a new season earlier in the year. I read articles on em, saw UA-cam vids, comment sections, etc. It is what it is though. Just wish it would’ve come out :/
@@asadhus there aren't official statements regarding about the animation of TYBW though, but there are rumors that bleach would have a premiere around winter this year or early 2022. But maybe the Exhibition in December maybe we might get an announcement regarding to the animation... And I think it will get animated maybe not now but soon..

@@aaabbbb7396 Well, if you kept up with the happenings in Japan from 2004 with Bleach through 2009 (CG started in 2006) then you'd know.
Heck, back in September 2018, a Code Geass game twitter account made an announce to the people of Japan to meet at 5 areas in Akihabara with big screens to watch a new video at 5 pm. Just at one location, hundreds of fans showed up, so its obvious that the other locations would have the same numbers. That is the power of Code Geass. Fans did not know what kind of game it'd be, but they did not refuse the call of Geass. And I haven't even gotten to its high selling home video sales where it sold over 1m as a series and dominated the 2007 DVD charts with its 1st few volumes.
Lastly, NHK held a 100th anniversary of anime poll in Japan for best anime in 2017. Just so you understand the seriousness of the poll, NHK is the biggest broadcasting company in Japan, hence why the poll was made. Code Geass was in 6th place (First 5 spots were from 2 other series, so CG is actually the 3rd best anime) Code Geass R2 was in 15th place. Bleach didn't chart while One Piece did.
Bleach is a manga series, that is its strongest area.
Correction: CG was 7th on the list. 1st 6 spots were from 3 different series. CG is actually the 4th best anime series of all time.
Bleach was the one anime that got me into anime, its been 11 years since, can't wait for this!

Supposedly he wants to take this chance to expand on the ideas he had back then. I don't know how much is going to really change but he has intentions to extend the story in places that fell short.

Bleach has changed my life since I've known it. I was never convinced of the way it ended and I've always thought that the real reason why it ended back then was never revealed to the public. Was sure that Kubo will continue it one day cause I've always thought that Kubo had plans and more story for bleach. It has so much potential and the characters continue to live in one's memory and mind all the time.
Iirc they announced at the time it was being published that it would end in 3 chapters. That's not a long lead time to finish a story that continued for 74 volumes (we can never know if it was Shueisha or Kubo that wanted to wrap it up). Now he's had chance to relax and work at a less demanding pace it makes sense that he's ready to return to the series that put him on the map.
Can we hope there will be an announcement of more Burn the Witch at some point. I get the feeling that Bleach is getting a lot of attention again recently but we shouldn't forget about this other cool series that Kubo had started illustrating in the last couple of years.
@@patrickhoneyman9019 i have a feeling it was shueisha. the way the manga ended really could've been less rushed :( I think kubo could've done that if shueisha didn't give a rushed timeline. notice that all the arcs in bleach never ended in a rushed way until TYBW. if the anime returns, I'm hoping the animated tybw arc isn't animated with the rushed ending.
