I swear the show needs a player regression slider. Players are getting nerfed into the ground for absolutely no reason. 10+ year service time is not a decent reason for players to regress to the way that they do.
Yeah. NBA2k has this slider along with progression. There really isn’t an excuse for it

MLB the show really needs to fix the whole "10 years of ST" death penalty thing, its really frustrating to watch hall of fame level players flop out of the league at 32-35 years old
I always just adjust rating to how they’re playing I know some people feel it taints it but I’m just like no way should a pitcher who threw a 2.36 should be a 67 just doesn’t sit right

One thing I did notice is that Fred's hitting tendency was whole field while the others that out hit him were at extreme pull.
we should be able to choose the award winners, edit progression and regression, the more sliders to edit the better
You should use OOTP for career sims. It doesn't do this stupid regression thing
So do this - Sim the career of a 99 overall player BUT
at the beginning of every season, keep maxing their stats to 99 .. and at age 30ish sign them to a 15 year contract. to see how long they last
Ant, I got a challenge for you…. do a long term simulated rebuild with a dominant outfield (3 - 97+ players - Trout, Acuña, Soto) AND when they’re contracts are up, give them each 10+ year deals (or until their age 45 season). See how long they stick around. HERES THE KICKER-start the dynasty with no one else over a 75 on the roster. Come on ANT!!

Just at the end of the first season and Victor Reyes broke the MLB record for most at bats in a season lmao.
At the end of the video now, whenever I have players that continue to do well as they get older and hit that 10 years of service time I bump up their attributes a little because it's just not realistic to have that much regression. Like "Oh shoot 10 years of service time, let me just completely forget how to play baseball". Solid video though!

It’s because you made him a LF, easy position to gain a high rating so the drop off can be large and still hit 97.
His Defence also helps his rating, 1B would be a better sim as defence doesn’t count as much

I think you should try this again but start him at 80-85so he develops for a fee years up to 99, maybe this will extend his prime since he has to grow into the 99 instead of being at the top already and all he can do is go down.
i find gurriel jr is an underrated pick up he always hits at least.280 and around 30 hrs for me
I am currently doing this, but I am player locking him. It's hilarious. I have over 200 rbi in the first 20 games of the season, as well as 4 perfect games.
