I totally agree. Been looking for their duet of leaving lerwick harbour to be uploaded ever since I was at the concert. There are many different versions of it over the internet but I've not heard anyone play it as beautiful as benedetti and harvey played it. tear inducing stuff.
To the naysayers, I would say, don't disparage Nicola because she is beautiful; it is possible to be BOTH attractive and talented, and that she is. 02/22/2015
She is beautiful and yes she is talented. But based on this performance her talent is no where near the standard it should be for her to have a gig like this.
Hello there,Sad to say Bruch was resolutely German(born in Cologne) However,he did compose a piece of music called"Scottish Fantasy" for violin and orchestra, which includes an arrangement of the tune "Hey Tuttie Tatie", best known for its use in the song Scots Wha Hae by Robert Burns Try putting Bruch Scottish Fantasy in UA-cam search and I am sure it will find something.
It would have been better if her mic had been balanced with the orchestra sound such that the exquisite detail of Bruch's writing could be clearer. Is it me or is the soloist to orchestra sound balance of many Prom broadcasts could be better engineered.
@Ian Scott hey don't be rude about Lindsey !! I forgot I wrote this comment lol but needless to say you don't have do bring one artist down to congratulate another
@Ian Scott yes I totally understand that, but just remember they are both maestros in very different ways. Lindsey is in all senses a performer - she can put on an entire pop concert while playing a violin which is pretty impressive. Nicola is incredible too, but in the technical sense as she leaves the audience in awe of her skills. I also wrote this comment when I was like 12 so I clearly didn't understand that a collaboration between the two would be strange
@@patsymendham6102 True, and his opinion is still valid. Ms B is barely adequate. Compare her version of the Bruch to that of Hilary Hahn or Janine Jansen. For perfection try Itzhak Perlman or Jascha Heifetz.
Not her best performance, but some of hers are amazing. Her Shostakovich is soooo much better than this, Even thought this wasn’t very good, most of hers are fantastic.
You are right -thre are many better players. But in fact quite a few are gorgeous as well. Lisa Batiashvili, Hilary Hahn and several of the Korean violinists.
Awesome performer ... I love looking at Nicola playing and listening to the string waves!
Simply virtuous! And so beautiful!
she is a pleasure to watch & hear!!! I am always amazed at how fast one can play the violin & not drop it.
Powerfully delightful..
Love this concert! It wakes me up to action!

Anyone know what this piece is called? What a fantastic performance!
Bruch's violin concerto
3d movement
3rd mov of the Bruch concert
WoW.....What a Women. xxx
Another talented Scot! We have so many.
Well done, Nicola. Maybe Bruck is Scottish somewhere also - the music sounds Scottish.
What exactly sounds Scottish about this music?
Bruch
Personally i think she's brilliant and i said that before i'd had the pleasure of seeing her good looks. You just don't get the two together.

... acerca de ella, ya poseo un
punto de vista. ¿Y el tuyo?
obsérvala y escucha ...
>tfw no Q.T 3.14159 violinist GF - why live?
fantastic!! My God she sounds like Nicolo, maybe she is Paganini reborn as a woman!!
Oh...do tell us what Paganini sounded like. So excited to know.
I think Nicola should collab with Lindsey Stirling!! Any more Stirlingites here???

Many intonation slips , fluffed notes and a bad habit of starting the vibrato some time after the note has started. But you all think its wonderful.
Love is said to be blind but in Ms Benedetti's case it is not blind but deaf.
You appear to be in a very small minority Mr Taylor

FRUMOS :) !
This concerto is obnoxious and I hate it. But I absolutely love her playing
FlygonFriend76 I think the concerto is good!
This concerto is beautiful ...but I don't love her playing. BTW -do you know the other movements?
horrible!
how
At least I'm not the only one to find it quite unbearable.
No, its amazing!!
She is rhythmical sooooo wrong... The beats are correct, but what's in between is very approximate. Same for every passage that's a bit hard.
There are better violinist than her. They're just not as pretty, therefore don't get as much recognition.
Your an idiot.
I think you need to wake up and realise that she is one of the worlds greatest violin players. And she's only in her twenties!!
You are right -thre are many better players. But in fact quite a few are gorgeous as well. Lisa Batiashvili, Hilary Hahn and several of the Korean violinists.
