Great as usual. What I like to do too is, see the second last row of numbers, they are 4 _ 1 _ 2 _ 5 7 8. Since there are 3 remaining spaces I write outside the box each of the 3 possible combinations, in this case 3 6 9 remain Then I write 369, 396, 639, 693, 936, 963 and look up and down each row to see, by chance, if there are any of those numbers in their place. Since there is a big 9 in the top cell, you immediately eliminate the 936, 963 combinations so now you have 4 possible combinations remaining 369, 396, 639, 693. It's a long way around doing it, but if you like it, you like it 😅😃

This was a tough one, I was right with you until about minute 33, then raised column 5 could only be 1 & 4 in bottom square, and from there finished the rest of the puzzle in about 3 minutes.
It was an extremely important puzzle for serious learners like me. I think it would have been easier for us to understand XY chain if the small digits were marked as follows: ab, bc, cd, da -representing 12, 23, 35,51 to eliminate #1 from r1c1. Regarding AIC of #2 the weaklink in Box#1from #2 to #2 was a strong link behaving as a weaklink where the definition of a Weaklink " if A is true, then B is false" is satisfied.
Ramifications means that whenever you solve a new number look yup, down and across to see if that new numbers enables you to ad another new number. I and not sure if you started at lesson 1.as this helps you learn step by step. @11:30 I thought you were excited as marking the little 9’s in block 7 would give you the big 9 in block 9 which as collateral would give you the 9 in block 3 so when you placed the little 9’s to make the matching pair in block 8 I was really confused and thought why couldn’t they go in the top row😂 had to replay to hear you explain the reason why and it’s logic I had never thought of before so simple yet so effective wow will be looking out for that in future games thank you amazing video as per 👍🏼

Using the fact that we know a sudoku has a unique solution to reduce options by spotting potential deadly patterns requires us to step outside the inherent logic of the puzzle and apply the meta-logic of the fact we have been told the information it has a unique solution. This doesn’t seem to be a particularly “pure” technique, although of course it does work due to the information we have about the sudoku. But a well-constructed sudoku ought to be soluble without needing to resort to such means.

At approx 16:30 into your video you pencil 2 in r3c4 and r3c6. I did not see why you were able to eliminate the 2 for possible in r2c4 and r2c6. Please explain why at that point of the puzzle that 2 is not possible in r2c4 and r2c6. Thanks. It seems at approx 23:00 into video you correct that omission when you enter all the missing small number possibilities. My final breakthrough also came using a XY chain, but interestingly it involved a different set of numbers. Amazing how solutions can be arrived at using different directions. Thanks for the difficult puzzle. I enjoyed it a lot.

A very interesting puzzle. @36:00 The XY chain was a very good find. But I interpreted it a bit different. I looked at the 23 pair in box 6 (R4C7) and looked what the effect would be if I put a 2 or a 3 in it. As I followed the chain I then came to the conclusion that the 12 pair in R1C7 could only be a 1. This then allowed to solve the rest of the puzzle quite easy following the pencil marks.

This is such a huge leap up in difficulty compared to almost all of your other videos, that I fear you will have successfully alienated 98% of your audience. I may be wrong; time will tell. I used a sort of chain in the left-most vertical chute to crack the puzzle. A 5 in R4C1 soon led to a conflict, as it left no space for a 2 in box 1.

Fan of your videos, you make me to understand this game easily which i thought very tough in childhood. Super work sir, love from India😊👌

@@SudokuGuy sure, my pleasure😊
What I like to do too is, see the second last row of numbers, they are 4 _ 1 _ 2 _ 5 7 8. Since there are 3 remaining spaces I write outside the box each of the 3 possible combinations, in this case 3 6 9 remain
Then I write 369, 396, 639, 693, 936, 963 and look up and down each row to see, by chance, if there are any of those numbers in their place. Since there is a big 9 in the top cell, you immediately eliminate the 936, 963 combinations so now you have 4 possible combinations remaining 369, 396, 639, 693. It's a long way around doing it, but if you like it, you like it 😅😃
Thank you very much for your comment. If it works for you that’s fantastic. Robin
Hello! I love Sudoku. Thanks for your tutorials.
Speaking of 'not so easy puzzles'...how about those where hardly any numbers are provided? Will you demo how to solve them? Thanks!
Great suggestion! If you go to my sudokuguy.com you will see a list of all the videos starting very easy to very hard. I would suggest that you look at this page and learn by going step-by-step. Thank you for your support. Robin
I made the puzzle by myself and got stuck where you solved by using the x and y chain and pivot technique. . That part I still did not get. I have to check out more of your videos on this…great video!
Glad it helped! hang in there You can do it. I demonstrate this in a puzzles somewhere between tutorial 75 and above

This was a tough one, I was right with you until about minute 33, then raised column 5 could only be 1 & 4 in bottom square, and from there finished the rest of the puzzle in about 3 minutes.
Well done 😀 thank you so much for your support
i love sudoku and the sudoku guy....xaxa 👍❤
Gee thanks for your support. Please tell your friends about Sudoku Guy
It was an extremely important puzzle for serious learners like me.
I think it would have been easier for us to understand XY chain if the small digits were marked as follows:
ab, bc, cd, da -representing 12, 23, 35,51 to eliminate #1 from r1c1.
Regarding AIC of #2 the weaklink in Box#1from #2 to #2 was a strong link behaving as a weaklink where the definition of a Weaklink " if A is true, then B is false" is satisfied.
Thanks for your reply and yes you are right.
Loved the hat ✨🧚♀️❤ thanks for the tutorial!

Explain ramifications how to determine which block to use
Ramifications means that whenever you solve a new number look yup, down and across to see if that new numbers enables you to ad another new number.

You are an amazing human! Thank You!
Wow, thank you! You are definitely on your way to learn sudoku and enjoy it. Please tell others.
Right ... thanks for your comment.

At #10, you could have also used the 134 triple in column 5 to eliminate the 4's in rows 1 and 5.
Hello java, Sorry but i don't see a 134 triple in column 5.
I enjoyed it a lot.
thanks for sharing Really appreciate it.

Always a joy to watch. Thank you.
Thank you so much
A very interesting puzzle.

At 34:06, why are the [2s] in box 1, regarded as a weak link when there are only 2 options in box 1 for the 2 to go into, wouldn't that be a strong link???
Good Point. There are times when a strong link can be used. (not often) This puzzle was tough as you can see later. It can be solved. Try solving it without using the strong and weak links section. Robin

At 27 -27 min say3/8 hidden matching pair you didn't say why I rubbed out the two can you or some one explain please?thank you
I column 6 cell 3 and 6 are the only places in the column where you find a 3/8. Therefore they become a matching pair. and other small numbers in those cells can be removed. Please watch this section again and I hope you will understand. All the best Robin

don´t get it 32:25, the elimination of 4 column 5, row 7. thanks for the further explanation.
I suggest you look at tutorial 69 and above as I cover a lot of information about locked little numbers. Removing of 4 in row 1 cell 4 .It could have been done when I noticed the locked little numbers (4) In block 8 which meant that the little 4 in row 1 could be removed. because there had to be a 4 in column 5 block 8. Thanks for asking. Robin

That second or "XY chain" was impossible for me to see or understand.
Yes the XY chain is difficult to spot. For more information about the power of strong and weak links, see below the video. I give a list for you to study. Strong and weak links are used in several of my videos Thanks for your question. You are the first to ask about this out of over 15 million viewers. True thanks for your comment. However it was still solved.
