My late paternal grandma's grandmother was from Yunnan. Her grandmother married a Pakistani man (back then Pakistan was a part of India) and she married an Indian man from Coimbatore. I always find that synchronicity amazing. Seeing a part of Yunnan makes me wonder about the lives my ancestors had lived then. From this walk, Yunnan is a unique and intriguing place I hope to visit one day. As always, thank you for the mesmerising walk.

I didn't get it, why there is a big temple but no monks and no sign of religious practices, why is it that no one really seems to care to pray at the temple but really people are taking pictures? 廿年前到過松贊林寺變化不大，外面商業街以前是一片土瓦房，路口還留有一間專門招呼馬幫的木樓，但其後爭取到香巴拉之名，就被一場大火燒去，現時商業味太重了！現時德欽比較好！
