I lived in HK for four years back in the early '90s and when I wasn't (shamefully) eating McDonald's, I lived on Guk ju pa fan! Totally forgot about it! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I'll be putting this together this week.
The full recipe is in the link in the description, but bake at 190°C for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rice is heated through - Chris
It's probably a very nice recipe and she's probably a very good cook. We need to film her working with her hands and not at her face and just talking and talking. I understand she's a pretty girl, but this doesn't take 10 minutes. Just give us the nitty gritty. Just show us. Don't tell us.
We don't say the -shire part. It's pronounced Wooster, as in Bertie Wooster from the Jeeves and Wooster stories. Not Worchestersheer, or Worchestershyer or Worchestersher. Simply, Wooster Sauce.
@@VideoDeadGaming I’m English too. The sauce has two names, “Worcestershire” and “Worcester”. That’s why there are two correct ways of saying it in British English.
I have just followed your recipe according to your link and it has to be the worst, saltiest recipe I have ever eaten. The batter recipe you have for just the pork chop calls for 1 tablespoon for 2 pieces of pork. I scraped off all the batter but the meat was already messed up from the salt. Could you please check your recipe and update. Thank you
everything looks delicious except for the cheese. imo, cheese and asian food just do go together. instead of the cheese, i would had just sprinkled the top with panko bread crumbs.
it's the sauce that makes or breaks this dish, can anyone that has worked in the kitchen of a hk style cafe verify how legit her recipe is for the sauce?
it was one of my fav when i was still in hk.i always have it in cafe de coral. now that im back in my country, i terribly missing it. it's good that i came across ur video. luvvit😋😋
hotdog and baked beans, burger and fries, fried chicken and mashed potatoes, spicy sausage with roasted or grilled gell peper and onionswith a hot spicy mustard.Chiliwith beans and meat spiced with Wasabi for people with pepper allergies.
This has to be one of my childhood favourite dish that my dad used to make for me, thank you for this video.
It is a real blast from the past

Never ever seen or heard about this dish, BUT DEF ONE I WILL TRY!
I laughed at the controversy over the sauce. In Northumberland we pronounce it 'woo-stah' sauce. You'd write it as 'wooster'.
Yay! Emma is my Fav on here.
It looks absolutely yummy. Thank you.
Looks a bit like a buldak (our favourite) without the heat.. Well up for trying this looks well tasty 😋
That looks nice! I have to show this to my wife! In spite of the spelling it’s actually pronounced Wooster sauce.
Some places does this dish with carrots and/or tomatoes
What a recipe :D
Woo - stir - sher
Also, we Brits tend to just call it "Wuster" sauce. Pronounced the same as "muster".
considering we pronounce it "wooster", which sounds nothing like "muster", no
@@MGX93dot Wooster? I think your phonetic spellings need some work mate! Nobody ever calls it "wooster".
According to an article by BBC Hereford & Worcester: “Worcestershire Sauce is often called, incorrectly, Worcester Sauce.”
A takeaway meal? Ekmek döner!
Wos te shi 😊
Chinese lasagna! Yum
When she said 'a little bit of water just to' I thought she was trying to pronounce wooshta-sauce again.
Woostah sauce.😀
this time no wok?
....it’s “Wus-tur-shur”.
Why u didn't tell how many minutes

Wrong. It’s Whatsthisheresauce Recipe link?

You were right the first time with your pronunciation. Everyone else in Wrong! Totally and completely Wrong! :)
Who would have thought this was an Asian dish 😃Could be the result of one of my end-of-the-week-plunder-the-fridge raids.

In England, we tend to just call the Sauce “Worcester Sauce” (pronounced Wooster}
I know, it is a great and flavourful sauce.
Never knew the Portuguese were big on pasta.
ok Say what's this here sauce, not get drunk and say it as fast as you can over and over. eventually it will sound like woostersheer sauce.
I usually said Worcestershire sauce as L&P sauce🙃
Thanks Emma,
So good to see this classic Hong Kong dish. Would love to see how to make the other popular HK classic: Portuguese Chicken baked rice
I was on board until the mozzarella 😢
i love having this woman teach me to cook :) great voice, great personality :)
When you said it in Cantonese my ears definitely perked up! :)
Excellent. Will try this. IN the UK, as far as I am concerned, most people call it ‘wooster’ sauce.
The sauce Worcestershire is pronounced woo-stuh-sher - 3 syllables 🙂
*wooster sauce is how Brits say it
@@VideoDeadGaming No, that's its alternative name "Worcester sauce"
@@chrisbardell I'm English, we say "wooster" sauce.

This was my favorite dish growing up, from a place called Kowloon Cafe in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. They called it Baked Portuguese Chicken
Uh baked Portuguese chicken is a completely different dish. The only similarity is the melted cheese and the egg fried rice.
I think this dish is fr Macau...not hk
They both have versions, not surprising for cities that are about 40 miles apart.
Lovely.. How could I get the recipe❤️
Dubya sauce
We just call it W sauce in California
In Boston Mass we say whistasheeah ;-)
What’s-this-here-sauce?!?

i used to eat this in a hong kong restaurant called tsu wa or something it was so good but it took so long to make
It is a long one! Nice for a weekend dish - Chris
@@SchoolofWok im probably going back to hong kong and try it again lol

It's "Wooster" sauce. Nobody in Britain says the "shire" part - never mind what it says on the bottle.
Wow, this dish is completely new to me(if not the individual components) and I am not young. Pretty cool.
does it make much difference instead of using flour instead of cornstarch for the porkchop batter?
This is my favourite dish in any Hong Kong style cafe here in the west! I always order it and now I’ll have to try out your recipe😋.

thank you for keeping Cantonese recipes alive - Happy Holidays from Victoria BC Canada
Always pronounced it as Lea & Perrins
this dish looks fantastic, i love the flavor you built here!
Will deffo be making this dish - Nice one Emma.
I'm making that tomorrow, looks great!
