Foxes are tamed with red sweet berries in the taiga biome
I tried to feed them fish😂
Specifically, they're only tamed if you breed them! The fox produced by breeding will be 'tamed', not the parents. They're not really tamed, they just don't run from you anymore iirc.

Water does not freeze near light sources. I used sea lanterns at the edges of the lake.
