A quiet engine/bike is better IMO. For the rider who'll get tinnitus later rather than early in life. For our surroundings causing less grievances as we pass by. .. What a nice dog!
i have put over 6k kms in 3 months on my vstrom 800de. its fun to ride, long, short, city commuting, off-road. Their SIRS is pretty good. try 1A1 for city ride. Highway 2B2. Offroad GB1/OFF based on your skills.
Thanks for your video with your experience’s with the 800! I’m from Sweden and I bought one last July. I love it ! I’m and “old” guy and hitting 64 I oct so the mix of on and off road is my plan. Now I ordering you ( hehe) to show us how you installed your accessories and what brands you used. You seems to got the “know how “. Looking forward to learn more from you! Best regards from Johan 😊
@@Jacklacasse well it looks like you replaced your tires so it’s not important. My bike was a new 23 and has the recall and needs the tires replaced. I will wait to see what kind Suzuki puts on . I only have 394 km or 245 miles on it.
I think it was a week and a half with a small fee because of the difference between the taxes they charged in Australia to Canada. I think it was 45$ extra.
@Italianborn on website it was safe and I had a great service from them. They answered all my questions by email. But it is expensive around 900 canadian dollars
That cruise control addon is pretty cool. The main thing stopping me getting a V-Strom as a distance bike currently is the lack of cc (cruise control)
Lack of CC? Wat. 800cc is more than plenty. You can go with the 1050DE if that's more of your liking.

@@Jacklacasse Salut! Merci pour ces précieuses informations.
M'audi t'estie sa de l'aire glissant dans ton coin mon oncle nice bike by the way😎
Pas glissant juste mouiller en tabarnac lol
What screen do you have, are you happy with that? How tall are you?
GP composite screen and I'm 5'10". It's good enough for me pretty good at buffering wind and bugs.
Did you get a tire recall for the rear tire?

How long did it take the McCruise to arrive?

Does the cruise control disengage when quick shifting?

Good question I've never tried. I'll get back to you with the answer ty
What do you mean ? The 800DE does not come with cruise control ! At least not here in Italy
800de 2023 doesn't come with cruise control. I bought one from Australia company called McCruise control and installed it myself.
@@Jacklacasse where did you find it ? Amazon ? Ebay ? Or strictly on their website ? Thanks
