    Awesome work Scott! this works great for daily tasks, but would be nice if it was one big zone where you could extend the taks for instance on a daily schedule you could extend it from 7:00am - 10:00am. almost like a Gantt chart but in-line. If someone has a solution for this please do share :)

    Scott, I sat down to build something like this after seeing your last video on the power drag and drop component... and struggled! This could not have come at a better time!

    Hi Scott, you never cease to amaze, thanks again. Can’t wait for the next one, especially with your CLIFF hanger - “Read task (i hope you mean loading the People-day dropzones) in from dataverse table”.. tried something.. with Patch and Updateif on “CurrentItems”.. but that’s clearly not the way ☹..Just have to be patient I guess.. ( any hint on when the next vid is coming).

    This is very cool. I will share the link internally. What I'd like to see is a Gantt Chart custom component. I built a Gantt Chart following examples on the web but this would be a great use of a custom component.

    Great and brillant solution that you propose! In 2022, I have tested it and it worked perfectly. 2024, I have a projet and I want to use your component DragAndDrop, I have followed each step but I don't know why the colPeople doesn't show any data from the component DragAndDrop, cannot add field "fullName" anymore. Do I forget sth?

    Awesome feature to power apps. well done Scott
    I have one question, it is possible to drag and drop the same task to more than one person, like a copy function ? I can see this drop and drag to be used in so many way, but for the main purpose i need to use this feature, i need to apply the same task to multi people.
    Thank you for sharing :)

    Wow, this is fantastic, Scott! I've begun implementing this for 2024 project, and it's really exciting.
    I've got a question for you. When I'm moving items from Competency list into a Business Process zone, considering the one-to-many relationship, how can I ensure that the original Competency list remains unaffected? Any advice or specific steps you'd suggest for handling this?

    wish there was a way to write this data to a sharepoint list, I have a similar project where employees need to update their work status ( ie Telework, On-site, Offsite, Leave) but don't really have a way to print that data without creating a list with 365 fields for each day and I am currently not able to build this in a premium workspace so data verse is not an option unfortunately

    This is wonderful. Is there any way to do a "one to many" type of drag? Where I may have a list of say 5 users that I am assigning across 25 tasks, where I could get them to "stick" to the master box to be dragged out as many times as needed?

    Is there an option or solution to distribute the tasks to a person and they are still in the list ?
    The tasks are repetitive so can be distributed several times. Thanks for your feedback

    This is awesome! What if instead of days, it would be 12 months in a year, and 6 months in range? How could it be done if a task extends to one month, say 3 or 4 months? can the box be extended?

    Hi Scott, I really like your video. I've been having an issue with the code and I think it's because of the way I've set up the table for 'Project Tasks'. Is there anywhere I can see how you have that set up? I'm fairly new to Power Apps overall and so perhaps I'm making a mistake that was obvious to everyone else!

    We have been looking for a solution like this, however, being a building contractor you lost me on the coding. Any suggestions on someone that can build this, link the people to active directory group, create a GUI for the task input, send the scheduled task information to a form and send it to quickbooks?

    This is phenomenal. Do you need to lock the people list so that it can't be resorted by the user? I assume that if user re-sorted the people list, the day/people slots would then be out of sync.

    • @ScottDurow
      @ScottDurow  Рік тому

      Thank you and thanks for watching! I plan to allow the user to regroup the people and update the tasks accordingly so they don’t get out of sync. More to come!

    I'm still a bit new to html , Is it possible to change item template background color based off a value in that items record? for instance, in a gallery we would set the template fill to...
    TemplateFill = IF(Scheduled_Date < Today(), red, green)
    That way the user would know that the item was late. Im not sure how to use the handlebars in the way.
