  • The 1926 coronation of King Prajadhipok in Thailand marked the first time such a ceremony had ever been captured on film.
    Not much of that rare footage has been seen by the public until now. As Thailand prepares to crown a new king, film archivists have restored and released additional footage from the event.

      @Setting things, straight. This one Is just a ritual to ascend the throne in accordance with the rule of law in Thailand That has been around since the Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods, lasting over 700 years Which is difficult to find Thai people believe that one generation will receive only one visit. And is a manifestation of the old culture, which is the civilization of an independent nation There is stability that governs the king who has mercy on the people to be happy. Thai people do not want the world to think what you do for the world. You are not a superhero. But is the center of the minds of the whole Thai people to love and unite

    • @nokaton
      @nokaton 7 місяців тому +2

      It's called a slouch hat which was popular in Europe during the late 17th century and later developed to be a military uniform (still in use in some country today). The hat firstly appears in Thai record as the king's robe during the 18th century, possibly by the influence of the Spanish colony nearby (the Philippines). That's why it's similar to a cowboy hat considering that the US cowboy hat also got the influence from the Spanish in Mexico.

      Yeah he doesn't have a good reputation. Firstly, because his dad, Bhumibol was conferred with the title 'the great', and was called King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. So it is tough for the people to let go of the former king. Secondly, he fathered five children through adultery and then disowned them in 1996 after their mother was accused of adultery as well. He has also been married four times and his fourth wife is only six months older then his oldest child, Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
