I wish it was likw that here in north america... ever since the early 2000s kids have been going out less and less, all about the video games and medias now a days
I supposed it depends on where U R. Just like the post above, I also grew up in The Philippines 25 years ago in the beautiful city of Baguio. And this is also my childhood. I kid you not every time there's a thunderstorm or heavy rain, my sweet grandma would give me a small piece of soap and order me out and say go have fun with your friends and have a nice shower at the same time 😂.@@trashyspeeds266
I love the sound so. Much I be using this sound of rain is so good for. Me is going to be so calming and rilax for the first time so so calm my friends love the sound I am Phillipines salamat po
This is kinda like when it snows heavy when I was living in New Jersey. This heavy rain is just like it in the sense that it's a pain in the butt for the adults to deal with, but the kids are having a blast.
I could not imagine having to go through this. All the merchants losing all their merchandise. All this thunder and lightning and no one has a care. I would be under my bed hiding lol. Not really but I would not be walking or playing in the water with that much lightning. Great Video though.
Yeah but isnt it like very hot and dry for most of the year, and all the rain that is normally supposed to be through out the year just drops on one day?
One inch of rain or snow in the uk and the whole country panics and comes to a standstill . The government wouldnt know what to do if this happened. Love and Respect to you all in Philippines from Scotland 🙏 💛
The water in the streets doesn’t look particularly muddy in comparison to what you see in other flood videos and the current was within the range the kids can handle. I encountered a couple situations in the past couple days I would not dare cross or play in a stream because there was way more water than you can “handle”. It is important to know when “too much is too much” and experience really helps. That rule applies to when you are going to a beach where there are big waves and rip currents.
i guess that the mud is not the problem but the trash is it. just imagine there is a trash bag and a glass bottle in it which breakes. that will be very "good" for children to walk in broken glass!🤕
It's the way of life there. I used to be one of those kids 20 years ago. They bring those kids tough and hardy in the Philippines and we wouldn't have it any other way. Plus it boost your immune system to the max. That's why I never get sick.
in my city dhaka, this intensity rain fell sometimes.sometimes over 300 mm in 6 hours.but this type of flooding with so much water current never happened in my city.i think the roads here are sloping that makes the water current so strong.
They are mostly Internet and phone lines. It is not really a flood rather, the drainage system struggles to cope with sudden heavy rainfall. Typically, within 20 minutes, the water recedes, providing enough time for some children to get excited about the temporary water presence.
Should thank the rain for cleaning up the streets...so dont complain people...enjoy the rain n suffer the consequences...choke all the drainage n want to complain...what to expect..the rain dont give face to anyone...it is doing its Job

Monsoon heavy rains, such as this, often occur after several days of sweltering and humid conditions. When the rain starts falling, it brings instant relief, and everyone kids and adults welcome the sensation of cold weather. This instance doesn't last long, the sky drops everything and abruptly stops. Thank you for watching
The Philippines is like the sponge of Asia. Anytime a typhoon goes through Asia the Philippines almost always gets hit. It's kind of like hurricanes and the Caribbean.
Wow, those power lines or is it communication wires @ 2:48 look like a spider web. I’m glad that I don’t have to sort them out in case they get torn down by accident.
Not Really, Monsoon rain comes unexpectedly, which is why so many people are helplessly caught off guard in the rain while kids are overjoyed because getting wet offers a respite from the sweltering Philippines heat.

The best childhood. Love to see kids having fun. Not a care in the world, no cell phones and no social media. Very good for one's mental health.
Very true. I used to be one of those kids growing up in southern Philippines and I wouldn't have it any other way .

My wife here in Lima complains about two drops of rain that falls once a year😂😂😂

I cant imagine the humidity after this. then the bugs from all the stagnant small pools of water. this is where sqwaller starts.

WOW! Lightning plus water everywhere plus people out on the streets plus wet power lines,….nice 😂
As an Indonesian, we call it mandi hujan (rain bath). My childhood.😅😅😅
Pretty cool
In America, this would be considered a flood disaster like Katrina. But in this country, the people there consider it a blessing.
Yeah but isnt it like very hot and dry for most of the year, and all the rain that is normally supposed to be through out the year just drops on one day?

This is a regular event in the Philippines. If it's happens in the UK every year, the UK would eventually get used to it one way or another.
Scotland should implement the Bahala Na - Strategy of Filipinos :D haha

Very cute children but it's very dangerous for them to stroll in the streets when there is thunder storms.

Its a tropical country. They should catch that rainwater on reservoirs to alleviate water shortages. There are times there is no water to fight fires.
