So glad you did this. Lenos is the best kept secret. I dont understand why it is not more popular. Waterbased tire shine best there is.

Morning! I like when you test new products. Suggestion? Perhaps when you test a new product, you finish the video by verbally comparing it to your current favorite to give us DIY detailers on a limited budget a sense of whether or not to switch. Thanks as always! 👍👍👍 ~ John

The Jay Leno trim restore is the best I’ve ever used. 2015 Xterra with notoriously faded gray plastics. Trim restore works wonders. I love that it’s kind of a satin/matte finish and not crazy shiny like tire wet.
This product lasts at least all month if not a bit longer. Doesn’t come off at the wash or in the rain.
I live in Texas, it’s been close to 105 degrees every day for the last two weeks, and the plastics on my Xterra are not dried out and look fantastic. The two things that made my suv look new again were this trim restore and the Maguire’s headlight restore kit.
I highly recommend the Jay Leno trim restore. 👍

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the brown is the natural color of the tires. Once you get the brown is when you apply tire cover thingy

Great review, Brian...I haven't tried the Tire and Trim Care, but the Tire Shine is my new go-to tire shine. Ever since Ethos discontinued their tire shine I've looked for a suitable replacement, and the Jay Leno's Garage Tire Shine is as close to Ethos Tire Shine that I have found. It's water based, in spray form, looks great and is pretty durable and long-lasting. Thanks for doing this review, hopefully you'll do one on the tire shine as well, I think you'll like it

Great video as always. I have used all the products you're using I like them but the trim coat shine works good on tires but not on trim. When it gets wet the trim runs all down the side of the vehicles and looks like big oil stains.

Bryan, The Jay Leno products are great for the budget conscious Detailer. It will be nice to see a comparison between the J. L. Wheel Cleaner vs IRON X or similar product. My experience with the Tire & Trim Dressing is it works great on the Tires, but will tend to Run off the plastic trim (Especially the Mirrors) and run down the doors after a good Rain event. Enjoyed the review.

I use Lone star coatings now for my tires but befire that I was trying every tire shine / protectant I could find. I have to say his tire shine is actually really good. Easy to apply, held up fairly well and had a high shine if you wanted it to. I still use it on my mud flaps and fender liners. I was skeptical at first but it works really well

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing

You can always polish with a meta polish and then coat them with a ceramic coating. Ceramic coatings are about the only thing that will hold up on wheels due to high temps.
