I've eaten the larvae. They're legitimately delicious, and it's probably largely due to the high fat content. They're like the bacon of entomophagy.

Great. This invasive beetle already destroyed the majority of canary palms in Souther California. Farm it in Australia so it wipes out your palms also. This weevil sucks beyond belief once it takes over your area.
