In her pre-game interview with Parade's Josh Wigler, Sandra Diaz-Twine - a former US Army specialist - made this sassy statement: "I want to be the only two-time winner ever." Mission accomplished. With a huge target on her back, she managed to survive 4/5 Tribal Councils, while knocking out the other 2 previous winners - police officer Tony Vlachos (Season 28, Cagayan) and cattle rancher JT (Season 18, Tocantins). Sandra's game was unfortunately screwed up by the 2nd Tribe Swap :( Hope she finds an idol in her next season to counteract any future Swap screw-ups.
2020 - UPDATE:
With the All-Winners season, Sandra will no longer be the ONLY two-time winner ever. HOWEVER, she still remains the FIRST two-time winner ever.

Sandra was a crap player the her first two seasons, but in this season she really showed her true potential and controlled the game but was just unlucky getting split from her alliance. To me if you excluded her first 2 seasons she would be top 5 for her plays in this season. That’s just my opinion

How is it that an actual Survivor winner gets this but so many Survivor fans don’t?
Because they only see the edited package and don't get that flashy moves mean nothing if you can't get the votes. Most Survivor fans would be crap at the game. If you're a fan of Survivor and Sandra isn't in your top 5 players (Not FAVORITE just top 5 players of the game) then you're wrong.
@Calvin Fisher Never once did I say that you couldn't be a fan of Survivor and not think this. I simply said you'd be factually wrong. She won twice, she's one of the best players of the game of Survivor simply because of that fact. It can't really be argued.
But you can hate how she plays, that it works, dislike her all you want. Totally fair. Not gatekeeping at all.

I love Sandra. She has a stealthy but deadly game. Really wish people would stop saying it was blind luck her winning twice when it clearly wasn't. Her second time winning she was the only one who openly told Russel she was against him and he still took her to the end. That is called game.
Parvati also openly told him she was against him, but it never came up.
In HvH, it was Parvati > Sandra > Russell > Rupert > everyone else

Sandra was soooooooo smart in game changers. She knew that it would be hard to win again because everyone knows she won twice, all she could do was get the two people who won the game once out so then there wouldn't be another 2 time winner

Sandra really had no shot here, being a two time winner. But this video, and how / why she got rid of Tony and JT, shows how good she really is at this game. She would have gone even further if it wasn’t for her unlucky tribe swap. She knew she had to play with winners and physical guys this time around. It was a great strategy for her third time. She is the best!

to be fair, Michaela was also unlucky having a lot of other people there that she didn't naturally click with
but yeah, both Sandra and Cirie were huge for her - and Michaela was able to work with them super well (JT blindside was epic)

That reminds me - Parvati once said in an interview how she and Russell prematurely crowned themselves queen + king in HvV, dismissing Sandra as the "court jester". And look what happened...
For me, Sandra proved her worth this season. She’s a great player.
This season was awful but every moment with Sandra was gold. I just wish we could've gotten even just one more episode of her this season.

It was a good season, but trash players like Brad and Troyzan ruined it. They should not have been called back. How the fuck are they game changers. They never once did anything in any of their seasons.

seriously! really bad season. they wasted real game changers by putting only a handful of them in a cast full of nobodies that ruined it. like as soon as caleb was on the list with brad, troyzan, and sierra thomas, it was a wrap. and the producers made it worse will all of the advantages and tribe swaps and two tribes voting out one player. it was too much.
Sandra's accent alone is what makes her near and dear to my heart. The way she says consumption just savage as hell haha.

My heart always hurt everytime I see her getting voted out.
People who say Sandra is undeserving of both times she won are stupid.
In Pearl Islands after Rupert was voted out she was in the minority and could’ve easily went after Christa but she made it all the way to the end with her under the radar strategy.
In HvV she was again placed in the minority after her allies went out early but she still made it to the end by letting Russel think he would win against her.
She was aware and observant. She didn’t need to do big moves because that was the strategy that made sense for both her seasons.
As much as this season and cast sucked. This season did really well for Sandra. People have always discredited her as a winner and thought she stumbled into it and that’s not true. This season showed that she is a badass and is a power player. Hell had she not of been swapfucked she would of made the merge and gone deep.

Sandra did so well in this season, especially for a 2 time winner. Unfortunately, she attended almost all of the tribal councils
The fact that she didn't get voted out in the first tribal council shows these people didn't understand how good she is. Had the tribal swap not happened there's no telling what would have ended up happening. She had the majority of her tribe, I will say she played more aggressive this time which could be why she lost. Still one of if not the best players of all time.

Yeah Ozzy was reading her game well and just pretended to agree. Is too bad he was done dirty, and was voted out again. Poor Ozzie he gets pushed out for having played so much but hasn't won despite being the best survivor in my opinion.
Ozzy and Andrea were dumb to let Sandra go. They were obvious physical threats and had they teamed up with Sandra, Varner and eventually Michaela at the merge, they would have gone farther.
Sandra in Game Changers played the best game of any pre-merge boot ever. It was arguably more impressive than her wins. This is what happens when you don't give a fuck.
Fun fact: SANDRA AND PARVATI are the only winners who made big moves to blindside the other winners(after each of their own original win in their season).

The Sit Out Queen is my name for her. Every season she played, she'll sit out every challenge she can.
Everyone thinks you either gotta be a challenge god or an evil mastermind. But its really so simple and sandra knows this best; appeal to other players' emotions, and don't run your mouth if you're not sure you aint gonna become a target. This season was the best of her but I really think what I said was shown when russell thought noone would vote for her and "took" her along. She said she was happy with $100k and shut her mouth. But i dont know bout thaaaaaaaaat. One of the very few who know how to play this

It's an awful summery of her gameplay.
She literally always runs her mouth and thinks no one will vote for her.
The one time she did think they would do it, they did do it and she failed to stop it, and was sent home.
But notice how she reads the room. She has never run her mouth at someone that the collective group LOVED. It's always at people everyone can't stand. She speaks the truth. The two people she mainly got in fights with were Russel and Fairplay...you know possibly the two biggest assholes to ever play this game.

Sandra was a 2 time winner because she has a good sense of logic and presented good arguments. The queen stays queen but Parvati is the greatest female survivor of all time and the ultimate queen.

It was an inevitability that it was going to happen, but she was still the highest placing returning winner of the game. Doesn't that just say everything about it? 😂
