As much as I agree that it was finally Dan's time to go, I don't agree with the hateful comments at all. It's not his fault that many voters appreciate a journey more than pure skill! Having seen Dan in all the VT:s and It Takes Two every week, and also hearing him in Strictly podcast, he honestly seems like the nicest guy. Very humble, and so positive about everything that he just made me smile even when his dancing was clearly worse than most others. On the first week I predicted him to be one of the first ones to go, but didn't mind him staying for longer until about halfway through. The last few weeks I think he would have been the first one to agree with being the weakest dancer left. Still, this has never been a pure dance competition, and it wasn't his fault that he was saved by votes so many times. After the dance off he said that he would have picked AJ and Kai over himself too, and I fully believe it 😁
That CGI beginning got me for a second! I was like, what's going on?! I wasn't feeling this one and I'm glad Anton and Craig said something about it. Decent enough attempt at the tango, just purely looking at the dance, but what was really lacking for me was the performance side; the chemistry, the passion, the presence, the strength and he needed to be a much stronger lead; she definitely held the reins.
The guy has tried all along & I’ve seen improvement each week. I don’t want to see perfection,, it may be a dance competition, but this is not the day to day job of these celebrities, some have rhythm & musicality, some don’t, they are prepared to give up a go, that’s the main thing.
It was one of Dan's best dances. For me is the epitome of a true British gentlemen - he is so respectful, he has such a nice presence, he may not show too many emotions, but he has a big heart inside. I was so pleased that they were given a proper tango music, it definitely uplifted the performance. I would have loved to see a tighter hold, more connection to the floor, much more sharpness and much more drama in the eyes (for me, Dan's nerves got the better of him once again, sadly, and he did not succeeded in portraying the character of this dance). He should have danced as though his legs are being pulled by a giant magnet - that would have created the staccato action, which is so essential in this dance. That being said, I did see the improvement, I did enjoy the content, I loved Dan's musicality and commitment so much, and if he had a little bit more time to practice this dance, he could have came out on the dancefloor with something truly great. It was not superb, but it considering how Dan began his journey on this show, it was impressive. My score: a 6.
I actually liked seeing this more serious side of Dan. He unfortunately did make mistakes and very noticeable ones but overall, I think it was his best dance.
This honestly was the first time I’ve seen a vast gap with his ability compared to the rest of the competition. His frame collapsed and his footwork placement was haphazard in the midway point. The only salvageable part was the great beginning but the rest left me cold sadly 6
@@rosies14 There is still a vast gap between Dan and the other contestants, he’s a lovely guy but he’s not improving like the others are. What happened last night with the Salsa’s was a fluke, their routines were overambitious especially AJ and Kai’s. Take out the lift at the end, and AJ would have scored higher. That 30 was her lowest score, she ever got on the show. She was also never in the Dance Off. Lifts go wrong, doesn’t matter if your a professional or not, what happened with John and JoJo wasn’t even John’s fault. JoJo said the fault was his, but they got marked down anyway. John had to drop him there was nothing he could do about it. Considering the Semi Finals are next week Dan really should be in the Dance off.

Ryhs has improved and his dance last night was my favourite. Dan has had the biggest "journey" he is certainly not the best dancer and its his time to go but all in all he has improved the most.
couldnt have put it better myself. He was hunched forwards and choppy, and considering this kind of mediocre quality isnt a one-off for him, he REALLY needs to go home

Oh! That was good! Nadiya's first Tango, and it was lovely! Classic. Good. And so nice for her to dsnce it with someone like Dan, he was at an above beyond level today. He did her so well. He felt like an independent ballroom dancer, as Shirley said. There were some flaws, but this is one of his better dances. It's Craig who I agree with. It was a sharp and passionate dance, and I loved it! Nadiya fans are feasting this year! Oh, it was worth more than two sevens.
Out of hold, this was on par with all of the other contestants. Brilliant performance full of unfettered passion which I wasn't expecting from Dan. In hold it wasn't amazing. His shoulder line was too far forward making it very off balance and he didn't have his fingers closed despite banging on about it in the VT. 7
I've been FAR from a Dan fan throughout the whole season but this dance, I thought, was one of his best, if not best. He is still underpar but I did think this was the closest he's been to the level of the other dancers. I really love this dance too, the music is fab.
I'm well far from being an AJ fan don't like her think she is a show off and already a trained dancer. I have a crush on Dan Walker he's my favourite bbc presenter and my favourite on strictly along with Rose.
To me he has done well he's gone all the way to week 11 and he has improved because of the scores. He did looked a bit stiff in alot of places and also lost alot of balance as well in a few places. But apart from that he has done a great performance

Score: *7.5* Okay, I love Dan and have been for the longest. However, Shirley... 9!! I mean some of the traveling moments were pretty good and he had good attempts of leading Nadiya across the floor. However, I felt like the footwork was placed A LOT! In addition, the ballroom frame wasn't consistent which gave jagged execution when they were trying to do sharp staccato head and leg movements towards the beginning. All and all, I actually wanted passion especially with this track but a good attempt nonetheless! Shoutout to CGI for that alleyway, I honestly thought they were not in the studio for that bit.

I just cannot believe that I am still watching Dan after, what, 10 weeks? His performance like previous endeavours was stiff, arthritic, lacking in originality, wooden, congealed - I could go on. I've mentioned before in other forums/videos, if this guy gets through tonight (it's Sunday) then I shall have to believe that the BBC has fixed this whole show!!!!!
I think viewers are drawn to someone who does not necessarily have natural talent but tries extremely hard. Strictly has a history of rewarding these types pf contestants. Meanwhile the other more talented contestants made catastrophic errors this week which couldn't be ignored and it just goes to show, it's anyone's game!
Score - *8/10* Definitely his best dance to date but that's not saying too much. He lost balance on several occasions, his topline was up and down, it had a crazy amount of time not in proper Ballroom hold and with such proper music like that it just seems unjustified to spend that amount of time out of hold. The footwork was actually pretty good and he has a nice natural posture, all the head snaps were nice and beautiful spotting in the Tango walk but it seemed his frame dropped after that. It started really beautiful but by the end he got a little ahead of the beat and then it tightened up. But it had some lovely Tango content in it, a beautiful connection to the performance and music (love abit of Gotan Project) and he did more dancing tonight than the Rumba so a good good try!
He’s just so stiff and expressionless, I can’t believe Tom is out and Dan is still in. His partner did all the work, he just kind of moved around a bit.

I was wondering why Dan was getting so much stick, nice guy and all that but he's just out of his depth at this stage of the competition, can expect some wow factor even with the mistakes the other competitors made at least they bought that.
I give Dan and Nadiya 5 out of 10. It was messy, disengaged, the head flicks were messy and the footwork was hit-and-miss. Some nice poses and shapes, but not Quarter Final standard. Sorry.

My favourite dance to this song is still James and Sharna's Argentine Tango from DWTS. That's one of the dances I keep watching and re-watching, and probably will for years to come. Love this song, so my expectations were high, and Dan just couldn't deliver on that level. He tried his best though!

I think the biggest fault in this dance isn't the technique (which isn't great). There is no fire from Dan, and no connection between the two dancers. He's doing the steps but to do a dance like this well you need tension between the dancers. Look at John and Johannes' Argentine Tango - that could have been a fight as much as a dance. They were locked against each other, and you could feel the conflict. Dan just kind of exists in this dance. Nadia is doing her best to cover it but he didn't give the same intensity back. Sadly I think that did it for them.
Shirley a 9 not for this dance for me it a 5 he should of gone out one week ago because last week he just stranded still for some of it so I hope he is out this week
This had none of the fancy lifts Rhys had in his Argentine Tango, nor was it anywhere near as complex as AJ’s dance. Dan tries his best every week but he’s the weakest dancer on the show by quite a margin. If he avoids the dance off this week then 🤬
It’s not an Argentine Tango, just a Tango and shouldn’t be compared as they are different dances but Dan definitely deserves to be in the dance off in my opinion.
OK then let’s just forget the in your face very bad mistakes made by AJ and John they don’t matter, let’s just laugh them off as if they never happened.Dan was given a dance with no lifts and spectacular moves which he did very well.

When you saw Rhys’ Argentine Tango first and then saw Dan’s Tango it felt like such a downgrade.

I’m sorry but I think he should be out the competition , it’s not fair because he keeps nocking out the goods players and it’s just fixed , I’m not saying he’s rude and it’s not his fault but it’s getting a bit unfair ( no hate)
Was far from Dan’s best dance, poor frame, footwork was poor too but that being said, it’s still very obvious how much effort he puts in, 7.

I think the biggest fault in this dance isn't the technique (which isn't great). There is no fire from Dan, and no connection between the two dancers. He's doing the steps but to do a dance like this well you need tension between the dancers. Look at John and Johannes' Argentine Tango - that could have been a fight as much as a dance. They were locked against each other, and you could feel the conflict. Dan just kind of exists in this dance. Nadia is doing her best to cover it but he didn't give the same intensity back. Sadly I think that did it for them.
Shirley a 9 not for this dance for me it a 5 he should of gone out one week ago because last week he just stranded still for some of it so I hope he is out this week
Even his head movement is not dramatic enough for a tango, to say nothing of his footwork and posture.

This had none of the fancy lifts Rhys had in his Argentine Tango, nor was it anywhere near as complex as AJ’s dance. Dan tries his best every week but he’s the weakest dancer on the show by quite a margin. If he avoids the dance off this week then 🤬
It’s not an Argentine Tango, just a Tango and shouldn’t be compared as they are different dances but Dan definitely deserves to be in the dance off in my opinion.

the only good thing was the song by Dave Arch and his singing band.for me its was like looking at a movie without the actors playing their part.
I really do not like how they dance Tango ... I am not saying they dance bad but that is not tango.. is something else.. too mechanic
