Hi! Beware the ending isn’t what i was wanting, lost over 20 minutes of film. Working on a new setup to edit my videos. If you enjoyed it, please give this video a 👍! Thanks for the support, i love you all!
Here Is One Thing I Know About And I Live In Southern West Virginia But Magnetite Is Used For Cleaning And Washing Coal After It's First Been Mined And The Magnetite Is Crushed And Pulverized Into A Nearly Powder And When It's Added To Water, The Mined Coal Is Also Added And The Coal Will Start Floating To The Top And The Dirt, Sand, Clay And Other Debris Will Separate From It And Mainly Go To The Bottom Of The Coal Washers... Coal Washers Will Clean Raw Form Coal With Just Water To A Point But Adding The Magnetite Will Wash Coal Cleaner And Faster Because Of Helping The Coal To Float And Making A Better Separation From The Dirt, Rock And Other Debris....
If this is something that people do often maybe you could create some tools, like a trowel that is 12” wide but 1inch thin blade that has 90degree bends that lead back to a handle like an old metal rake, then you could just scrap the top of the material or pull it then come behind it and scoop it with a snow shovel? 🤔
So, you are basically the tri-athlete of diamond mining Olympics. After all the work you did, you deserve to find some diamonds. This is great because I have been thinking, like many Americans about visiting this mine. Now I know you can't just walk around and expect to magically find a diamond by looking on the ground.
Wow you work so hard! I have watched you do this several times, but this one makes me have a whole new appreciation for that diamond I won from you. Thank you for all the hard work and you just gave it to me for winning your gaw! I have it put up in a special place. And just love it! Good Luck my friend!
It’s a lot of hard work! as you now see we regulars have a hard time finding a diamond sometimes. Glad you love the diamond you won! Thanks for the support ⛏💎
A diamond starts out as an ugly piece of coal and then after years of constant pressure it is perfected into a Beautiful Diamond. You are the Diamond in the rough. Beast mode
Our family has enjoyed your videos for the past few weeks. We just made the trip to Crater of Diamonds today. It was way too hot for us to spend the time needed. Sadly we couldn’t spot anything on the surface. Next time we go it will definitely be in cooler weather!
Love your videos. I hope to make out there one day to add to my diamond collection. If you ever make it out to UT. I can show you to a few awesome locations for some Beryl.
I had a idea to help. There's a water purifier in a bag for drinking water if u sprinkled that in pavilion wash tub the dirt sinks to the bottom an u could see a diomond easier with clear water maybe
I’m glad you had sense enough to wear a mask. I’ve always wanted to stop there and dig but I’m glad I found you because I had no idea how to look for the diamonds 💎. Thank you for another great video.
I always look forward to your new videos because it seems I learn something with each one, and this video was no different. Thank You for sharing your hard earned knowledge. @27:54 I can relate, had the same thing happen last trip there, lol How often do you use a probe for finding covered gravel deposits? How long of a break are you planning, or are you playin' it by ear? Looking forward to the next video. Again, Thank You for sharing, and... As always, Good Luck, Have Fun, and Keep on Houndin'... aka, A. Bearsfan4lyf
@@DiamondMinerIvins The Boss(wife) is talking about going to CoD in mid September. She still has 8 vac. days to burn or she'll lose them on 12-1. That, and we have 2 home finds(.13 & .27 cts) to register from our trip last April. She also said if you're there, you are welcome to at least one BBQ at our camp, and she is *wicked* good with a grill. Maybe see you then.
@@DiamondMinerIvins omg! I worked so friiigggin hard yesterday!!!! Im feelin it 2day!!! 😂😂😂 i managed to get 3 buckets of gravel and bought 2 bags of the dirt inside. Do u know if anybodys ever found any that way???
Would the pig pen be a place to check with the probe to see if there are gravels a few feet down? If that is a low lying area, it might be a good spot for some deep holes? Let me know what you think? Did you find any diamonds out of your snake pit hole with that beast of a man! He was a machine until he ran out of energy. You need to bring lots of calories to keep your energy up all day. I am really excited to come out and help you in your pursuit of diamomds.💎 There is a spot to camp out also not far from the area, right?
It was hit pretty hard back in the day. Ask Glenn, he never got to dig there. not until long after James Archer passed away, and many other old timers. it was known for double digits.
This looks like an incredible amount of back-breaking work. I admire your tenacity. I'm a pretty new subscriber. Do you have elbow problems? This must be excruciating! Do you keep the crystals and gemstones that you find? How do you tell rough diamonds from crystals?
I messed my elbow up washing a few trip ago at the diamond mine. I keep all the quartz i see in my top classifier, not the bottom classifier. The diamonds have smooth, and rounded facets, the crystal have rough and jagged edges. Thanks for the support ⛏💎
@@DiamondMinerIvins Thanks for the info and the reply. Interesting to know. Btw, I've got bad knees and when they act up I find that flexible knee braces help greatly (amazingly! It's quite something that just a bit of compression fabric can have such an impact -- I didn't believe it till I tried it.). Perhaps an elbow brace might be a good thing? Thanks again!
Seems like it would be smart to rake the top with tines about 3/4" apart to eliminate the really larger gravel before filling the buckets with the smaller gravel.
those larger rocks have deep cavities that can contain diamonds. That’s why we take all the large rocks up to the wash station. if you don’t you’re missing diamonds
@@DiamondMinerIvins Aaah...that makes sense. Something I hadn't considered. I've been diamond prospecting in western Wyoming, without luck, for several years. But lots of LARGE chrome diopside.
Thanks for sharing excellent information, your effort is truly appreciated! However, I assure you that diamonds are not floating, trying to get out of the water. They behave the same as any other heavy mineral, slaves to simple gravity, like gold.
You’ve given me a lot to think about while I am making my plan for October. We’re you using a GoPro? I bought a GP knock off so I can video mom’s visit to the park.
Where do u get your sarucas. Or do u make them yourself. If u make them do u have a tutorial. Not having much luck with my searches. I have seen other miner videos that have ones that look just like it’s but can’t find any
Several of the minerals will glow, it best to use the UV light after finding the diamond. I have good luck at finding diamonds that will fluorescent. some miners aren’t so lucky, and the diamonds won’t glow, but still worth a lot of money if clean/flawless
Your comment that diamonds want to get away from water and so you need to look to the sides of a course of water to find them is curious as its specific gravity makes them sink like lead, which is why you wash your gravel the way you do to concentrate all the heavy minerals. Here is a suggestion that may make your task easier, one that all global diamond mine processing plants employ when washing gravel, why not use a grease table. A grease table is a method of diamond extraction whereby a gravel sample is run down a gently sloping table covered in a specialized grease. And because diamonds are hydrophobic, any diamonds present in the sample will adhere to the grease. (Diamonds hate water, but love grease, which is why they get dirty so fast in jewelry.) Then it is just a matter of picking off the crystals.
there was once a pig pen i that area when it was a farm, during the state park operation there was once 20-30 snakes down in that area, so it was named the snake pit

Does the heart mean yes diamonds are invisible in the water almost

Is diamond heavier than gold???
Nope. i wouldnt think so.

Can diamonds be found in quartz
no, diamonds have to have kimberlite or in the crater of diamonds it’s call lamproite.

there was once a pig pen i that area when it was a farm,
