@@AmiyaPrasadMD hello doctor , once i dp prp how long does it work for ? In nepal here they say it'll last 18 months and after that they said i have to do it every 6 months. What happens if i do it once and not continue to do it then after?
Hi@@siyashrestha8730, PRP improves skin health and quality, so its effects don't fade like a filler. However, PRP cannot stop the effects of aging, pollution, and your own personal health factors that affect the skin like not drinking enough water, smoking, or stress. When going for repeat treatments in short intervals, each treatment builds on the effects of the prior treatment, which is why several treatments initially are often needed for best results, then periodic maintenance treatments can be done to treat continued skin aging, health, and environmental exposure. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@iSpritz, It does depend on how you respond to treatment, and the area or issue you are having treated. Not everyone responds the same way to PRP treatment, and PRP isn't a treatment for all issues. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Love the quality content on your videos, thank you! A few questions, will PRP affect the longevity of my Botox? Also, can PRP be done on the lips, to give them a plump look? Lastly, how often should PRP be done (what maintenance schedule do you recommend)?
Hi Myra Nur Lakdawala, Thank you for watching! PRP is primarily for improving skin health and quality, stimulating blood supply and collagen, and even to improve the essential fat layer underneath the skin. Botox is different as it blocks nerve signals to limit or inhibit the muscle movements that cause wrinkles, so they have different mechanisms. The effects of Botox generally wear off in 4-6 months. While PRP can add some volume, plumping the lips would need a hyaluronic acid filler. Frequency of PRP depends on area being treated, as well as your age and health, but it can be used often as it's not a treatment you can really overdo. You can refer to these videos about what Botox can and cannot do, and how to add volume to the lips while still looking natural: ua-cam.com/video/ay4Otw-RBCE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ZVHiUZ4havc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/WHRHPUlj3zU/v-deo.html
Hi Saima Amin, I don’t use HIFU devices in my practice as I find the sudden temperature rise not as precise to control. I prefer to use devices with gradual temperature increase and better control of energy settings like various lasers and radiofrequency devices. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Ocean Zenn Fam xo, PRP helps improve skin quality, but mid cheek lines may also be due to volume loss, so I would have to examine your issue before making a specific treatment recommendation. You can refer to this video about it - ua-cam.com/video/rCjuUAofEFU/v-deo.html
Hi azerty ytreza, PRP can improve skin texture and quality, but it can't add significant volume to replace a filler. Hi Snow Snow, I would have to examine your situation before determining how many treatment sessions, as well as the different modes of treatment. Hi H Owen, It depends on the issue being treatment. I mostly recommend PRP injections for improvement of skin quality, and to help with healing from other treatments, as well as combining it with hyaluronic acid fillers, and with extracellular matrix for advanced surgical healing and hair loss treatment. Microneedling by itself is a collagen induction therapy, with PRP as complementary treatment for additional collagen stimulation with the the aggressiveness, and used for faster healing and skin quality improvement. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Amy Thai, Yes, PRP can address skin aging as the skin does lose collagen every year as we age, and PRP can stimulate collagen production. PRP can also add luster and glow to the skin to help it appear younger. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi... Sir...me Jyoti, I'm from India, I want to ask you that, do you know any best dermatologist in Delhi, who got best PRP treatment in specially dark circle in eyes.....
Hi Dorra Kotti, Platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin matrix are both PRP. PRFM just has calcium chloride added to PRP to make it thicker, and act as a slow release. Either works well for improving skin quality. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD yes thanks but i heared that prf give a younger look more than prp and have lifting effect ..is that true doctor ? Respect from tunisia ❤
Hi@@dorrakotti2507, No, PRFM does not work that way. You may be thinking of the Vampire Facelift that uses PRP and a single syringe of filler that lifts the skin outward away from the bone structure by adding a little volume, but it does not lift the skin upward. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @ekavelasquez1553, Sorry to hear about your problem. Hyaluronidase only dissolved hyaluronic acid filler. PRF itself may not be the issue, but the rather how, or the conditions it was applied, such as the trauma of the needle, infection, etc. The volume effect of PRF only lasts about 3 weeks after it is injected. I suggest you follow up with your performing doctor to determine if there were issues after your treatment. I hope this helps you.
Hello sir, can I know the downtime for recovery in prp with micro needling for acne scars treatment? By how many days can we expect the skin to be normal.
Hi @navyaborugadda3140, Downtime does depend on factors like how your skin heals, and how aggressive the treatment is, so I can't give you an exact number of days. Keep in mind that treatments like microneedling are designed to mildly injure the skin, so the body responds to the injury by synthesizing collagen to heal the affected area, and improve the skin. There are several treatment options for acne scars aside from microneedling, which are more controllable for the practitioner. You can refer to these videos about it: ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MvtDyCYUgO4/v-deo.html
Sir I used beatnovate c cream for 2 years ,so my skin got thinner so please tell how to overcome from this side effects ,my face is reddish and itchy ,so some one suggested prp therapy is the solution is it true
Hi captain jack sparrow, Yes, PRP can thicken thinned skin, but you may need several treatments for best results in skin rehabilitation. I would have to examine your skin before making specific recommendations for your case. I hope this helps you.
Hi @shweta9763, Eye bags that are due to prolapsed orbital fat can only be treated by sculpting and removing the prolapsed fat with lower eyelid surgery, and in some slight cases camouflaging the puffiness non-surgically with filler. PRP can improve skin quality and texture in lower eyelid skin, but it cannot treat the fat beneath the skin and muscle. You can refer to these videos about it: ua-cam.com/video/46Kp6ayfyzg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/yszpZSOEGoQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/cU0B9-IahGk/v-deo.html
Hi @sabaamin2879, While an examination is needed to determine the best approach for your case, this video features the different treatments I perform for forehead lines - ua-cam.com/video/MU7LKtNfcng/v-deo.html
Hi Nazanin Mazkoori, The number of PRP sessions needed depends on the issue being treated, and the response of the individual patient for each treatment session. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi baby kisses, It depends on the condition of your skin, and what you are specifically treating. PRP improves the overall health and quality of the skin, so it is effective long-term, and doesn't fade like a filler treatment. However, results of PRP treatment can be built upon by subsequent treatments, and some people may need more treatment sessions than others. PRP is safe for multiple treatments, but a physical exam is needed to determine if it's the right treatment for you, and follow up after initial treatment can determine if more treatment sessions are needed. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@mrandmsbeast, Depending on what you are treating, it can be done anywhere from 1-3 months apart, to once a year for maintenance. PRP is safe to do often, but doing it too often may be unnecessary. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hello Doc, I don’t have even skin tone, my nose area is way lighter than the rest of my face. I wanted to ask if a face PRP will help to reduce it and to make me have an even skin tone on the face? Or what else would you recommend?
Hi @emilietije4836, It is possible for PRP to even out skin tone, but I hope you understand that I can only make specific treatment recommendations after I physically examine your face and issues you want treated.

Hey Doc I’ve been told PRP is my only option for dark circles but have been warned about swelling. How bad/long do you think swelling gets? Is it similar recovery to injectable swelling or more so like kybella? Also what have your patients thought of the pain level for under eyes since I’ve been told no numbing cream is allowed?
Hi TheCherrytouch, With the way I approach PRP under the eyes, there is minimal swelling, and topical anesthetic can be used so it's virtually painless. Kybella involves much more swelling as more injection pokes through the skin are needed. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I had PRP done. Swelling was the worst on same day evening and next day. Afterwards day 2 a bit of swelling. Didnt do much but it hast to be made many times for results so idk. Skin was glowing though (from residual swelling i think)
Hi@@melissasaal8577, You will still see some improvement from your recent treatment in the coming days. PRP does improve skin health and quality from within, and results can be built on with subsequent treatments. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi curtana, I don't perform microneedling as often anymore as there are other ways to stimulate collagen that are not as traumatic on the skin. Subcision is performed only in certain cases when tissue needs to be untethered, so I can't recommend it for you without an examination. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @Rdroro, Yes, PRP can be administered to people with skin types prone to keloid scarring, and it can also soften the appearance and texture of keloid scars. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi doctor. Love watching your videos. For PIH can you suggest which treatmnet is better carbon fractional or microneedling with prp. Which treatment is more effective for PIH. Thanks a lot
Hi Hafsah Zia, Both treatments you mention can cause hyperpigmentation, especially in darker skin types. PRP alone may help, but I would have to examine your skin before making a specific treatment recommendation for you. You can refer to this video on the causes, and potential treatments of hyperpigmentation - ua-cam.com/video/4nER0bK1Fvw/v-deo.html
Hi sonam apung, PRP often requires more than one treatment session. Since the treatment improves skin from within, each subsequent session builds on the results of the previous session. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I am 23 and have dark genetic eye circles that make me look very tired. I am very healthy and get adequate sleep. Is PRP a great option to treat the dark circles?
Hi kashlyy, Yes, PRP can help improve the skin quality and thickness of lower eyelid skin, while stimulating collagen and increasing blood supply to the lower eyelids. Dark circles can be due to pigmentation, thin eyelid skin revealing the anatomy, iron deposits, or pooled blood, and PRP can help all these conditions. Depending on the severity and cause, dark circles may not be completely erased, but they can be improved. You can refer to this recent video about dark circles: ua-cam.com/video/QBvjjvxPt2g/v-deo.html
Hi Arathy, Both PRP and lasers can help with acne scars, and acne scars usually take more than one mode of treatment, and several treatment sessions before improvement is seen. You can refer to this video about why there is no single best treatment for acne scars - ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html
Hi @LeLe-tt1mu, It depends on the area being treated, and how you respond to treatment, so I can't give a specific number. After initial treatments where the goal you want has been achieved, maintenance treatments are not needed as often. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Gdmng doctor.... Sir i want do prp treatment on face.... Any hair loss.?. Alredy my hair fall toomuch... I am working in kuwait. Sir plss can give me replay.
Hi @blessyvarughese3444, PRP facial treatment will not cause hair loss. PRP is actually used as a hair loss treatment, but it does work better when it's not the main ingredient. You can refer to this video about it - ua-cam.com/video/xSMTd9qVwNo/v-deo.html
Hey Dr, just wanna ask you, can I do a laser Co2 combined with Prp Treatment at the same session? I’m dealing with acne scars (box scar) so do you think it can helps a bit repairing my face skin?
Hi akram Dinzly, I usually alternate between laser treatment, and PRP, but it is also possible to do both in the same session, depending on individual factors of the patient. Keep in mind that acne scar treatment usually takes more than one treatment session, and more than one of treatment for best results. You can refer to these videos about it: ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MvtDyCYUgO4/v-deo.html
Hi Heena Desai, Yes, you can use PRP to help improve skin quality and stimulate collagen as these are effects you don't get from Botox or filler. PRP does not affect the effectiveness of Botox or filler, and I often combine PRP with Botox or filler for a synergistic effect. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir I have one doubt plz reply me....I did 10 sittings for face prp using dermaroller treatment in clinic mostly 1 week the result that also mild colour improvement and then my face becomes dark please tell me the reason sir
Hi saranya kanagasabapathy, Sorry to hear that. I don't have details about your treatment, but microneedling, especially dermarolling, can be a very aggressive treatment that can lead to hyperpigmentation. I suggest you discuss this with the doctor who performed the treatment, and if a doctor didn't do it, you should see a dermatologist. I hope this helps you.
Hi, Melasma is usually treated by a laser, not PRP. You can refer to these videos about the different options for treatment sun damaged skin: ua-cam.com/video/4uG-C9iZhLc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ntirMC0EUZ0/v-deo.html
Hi huma huma, PRP is a possible treatment for hyperpigmentation, but determining if it's the best treatment for you requires an examination. You can refer to this video about treating hyperpigmentation - ua-cam.com/video/4nER0bK1Fvw/v-deo.html
Hi Cristina Sun, I apply hyaluronic acid and PRP at the same time with skin boosting, as well as with injectable PRP and hyaluronic acid filler at the same time, so generally it can be done. However, using both materials at the same time does depend on the issue and area you want to have treated, so a physical examination is needed before I can give you definitive recommendation. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @anaya1817, I usually use a Q Switch laser to minimize visible pores, but I would have to examine your condition before I can recommend specific procedures for your case due to your young age, and skin type. I hope this helps you.
Hi Iqra Sheikh, Yes, PRP can help with hyperpigmentation from acne scars, but it usually requires other treatments as well. You can refer to these videos about it: ua-cam.com/video/4nER0bK1Fvw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/yZVCxIOdvq8/v-deo.html
1. HOW LONG does the result last of prp. 2. Does it use with serum like vitamin c for fading of spots or marks. 3. Does it will be done in prp facial rejuvenation. 4. DOES it suitable on oily and acne prone skin I know not on active acne but can be done because sometime breakouts so it's will be best.
Hi@@iqrasheikh7487, PRP improves the health and quality of the skin, so the effects don't fade, but at the same it cannot stop the effects of aging. PRP can be injected, or used topically together with microneedling, or a less invasive treatment related to microneedling we call Skin Boosting. PRP can be used in any skin type, be it dry or oily, but it's not a treatment for acne itself. Your other question is not entirely clear. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I'm privileged to see a generous doc replying to each comments. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Plz reply me Sir as well - I've acne scars on my face. And one doc suggested for PRP, other for MNRF, and some say for CO2 Laser. Could you please suggest me which one is better.
Hi Ajit007, There is no one best treatment for acne scars, as treatment differs among skin types, and types of scars. What is important is staying with the same doctor for treatment as acne scars require a treatment plan of several sessions, not just one treatment and you're done, or one treatment then moving onto a different doctor or device. You can refer to this video about it - ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD thank you sir for your kind reply. My job is to travel from one place to other. And that's why I couldn't stick. However, now I'm in a place where I can continue the treatment. Based on the cost and two types of treatment suggested - MNRF and PRP MicroNeedling. I find the later one okay for me. Again I'm but skeptical for the doc - she didn't check my condition much and had her fellow student to write down some medicines. That's why I'm not afraid..
Hi@@Ajit-kd9oi, A proper second opinion requires a physical examination, so if you'd like another opinion, you would need to be examined. If you can’t see us for an examination, I suggest you see another local dermatologist for a consultation. I hope this helps you.

I actually blessed With good skin so dont want to take any risk so need your advice
Hi Ritu Garg, PRP can be a good treatment for improving skin quality, and for maintenance of skin. However, I can't make a specific treatment recommendation without ever examining your skin. PRP is not harmful, but you do need an examination, and possibly have treatment done, with an experienced doctor. I hope this helps you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD thanks for your reply, but can u tell best treatment generally used for lightening the skin. What should be the age criteria for prp and any other treatment
Hi@@heena6814, PRP is a treatment for improving skin quality, thickness, and texture, but it's not a treatment for lightening skin. I don't perform skin lightening treatments, even if I have darker skin myself. I recommend that people consider PRP, depending on their skin quality at a certain age, at around their mid-30s to older. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thanks for your reply 🙂 it means a lot 🙂🙂I understood now, actually I met with cosmologist she recommend prp to me for skin lightening , before doing I want to research for the same.
Hello doctor, i read a study about Prp used as a filler, mentionning that there were a few cases of blindness after treatment. Are the risks the same if prp is applied by microneedling ? Thank you !
Hi @NinorahDeux, You are referring to vascular occlusion , where filler inadvertently blocks an artery. It actually occurs with hyaluronic acid fillers, which are thicker than PRP. It does not apply to PRP microneedling. Vascular occlusion is explained in this video, for your reference - ua-cam.com/video/lA6ietCvZf8/v-deo.html
Hi@@NinorahDeux, 2 cases in the study indicate treatment was performed by non-physicians, which is an important factor. Any medical procedure involves risk, and risk is reduced by the experience, and expertise of the doctor performing it. This principle is also described in the video I sent you. A doctor with anatomic knowledge can avoid injecting an artery, or deal with it immediately if an emergency arises. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Iris L, PRP can improve the skin quality and thickness of lower eyelid skin, but it cannot provide the same volume effect as a hyaluronic acid filler can. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Devin Scott, PRP can help treat dark circles, but it can't treat the prolapsed orbital fat that causes eye bags. While a physical examination is needed before making specific recommendations for you, these videos feature the ways I treat under eye dark circles in my practice: ua-cam.com/video/QBvjjvxPt2g/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/S6_nTRr1tio/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jQUb67RpaAM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/RHJodb437o4/v-deo.html
Hi Token Of Love, PRP is best used for improving skin structure. It may help with the oil and sweat glands causing dry skin, but an examination is needed to determine what can best help your situation. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @sarahmalik3829, There are no side effects to PRP treatment, as the material is from your own body, and treatment can be safely repeated to build on results. PRP is not viscous like a filler, so there isn't the same (but rare) risk of vascular occlusion that could block an artery during the injection under the eyes. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Ramier John De Leon, PRP is not a recommended treatment for seborrheic dermatitis. You can consult a dermatologist for a physical evaluation and recommended treatment. I hope this helps you.
Hi@@dubidubi3088, If you have already consulted a dermatologist who has examined your scalp and recommended treatment, then I defer to their recommendation as I have not examined your scalp, or seen your condition, and she is your doctor since you have had a formal consultation with her. I wish you the best of luck with your treatment.
Hi Croddle Postus, PRP is not usually the treatment for rosacea, and a laser is usually used to treat it. You can refer to this video about treating rosacea - ua-cam.com/video/ozyNttu78hM/v-deo.html
Hello doctor...I have done face prp recently and I found a slight improvement in my skin texture and open pores. I have one doubt, they suggested me microneedling or normal injections. I go for injections. Which is good and safe ? I just read a comment from u that microneedling can cause hyperpigmentation and it's quite harsh for skin. Is that true ?
Hi Archana Verma, I perform facial PRP treatments with both injections, and microneedling, but mostly injections. Microneedling can cause hyperpigmentation in certain skin types, so a physical evaluation is needed before I would rule it out. I also do facial laser treatments or radiofrequency treatments, which I alternate with PRP injections to reduce heat exposure, so there are other options. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hello Sir! Myself Dr. Savita Chaudhary practising dermatologist from North India. Can we use Platelet poor plasma as biofiller. Can this substitute use of juvederm or other fillers.
Hi Savita chaudhary, To correct you, it's called platelet-rich plasma as it is a serum with a high concentration of platelets. PRP is primarily for skin quality improvement, collagen stimulation, and increased blood flow and blood supply. Although it can have a slight effect on volume, it is not a replacement for hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm, although it does work well in combination with hyaluronic acid fillers. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Shivam Kumar, PRP is for improving skin quality, texture, stimulating collagen, and can be used for treating discoloration like hyperpigmentation, but it's not a treatment for lightening natural skin color. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi Zee Arif, While chemotherapy drugs have long since left your system, an evaluation is still needed to determine if PRP is the right treatment for you. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi doctor i have an acne scars and i wanna try this PRP, want to ask if my face is scar free and no more issues so is it ok not to continue doing it just for maintenance?.. My only goal is to make my face scar free and more glow
Hi Jane jane Jane, PRP can be used periodically to maintain skin quality, but treating acne scars can be more complicated than just using PRP. An examination is needed to formulate a treatment plan for acne scars, which can include PRP and other treatments, over several treatment sessions. You can refer to these videos about acne scar treatment: ua-cam.com/video/1AIRQbIuPrM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MvtDyCYUgO4/v-deo.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD thanks doc..just want to ask if i undergo like 4 sessions of PRP and i get the good result do i need PRP like once a year for maintenance or i just continue my tretinoin for maintenance curently im on tretinoin hoping that my acne scars will reduce
Hi@@janejanejane2046, People use PRP 1-2 times a year for maintenance of overall skin quality, but like I said previously, PRP alone may not be enough to treat acne scars, so it's unlikely that PRP alone can be used for maintenance. For a more comprehensive recommendation, I would have to examine your face. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi JYOTI ROY, Depending on your condition, you may need more than one treatment for best results. Everyone has a different reaction to PRP, just like everyone gets different results from going to the gym, even if the exercise is the same. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@kellykitchen5429, PRP is a long-term treatment as it improves the health and quality of the skin, but it does not stop aging, nor does it prevent damage from environmental factors such as smoking, sun exposure, and pollution. There are pretty much no permanent treatments because of these other factors that treatment can't stop. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi doc, I am taking PRP for my face and the dermatologist said that it would take 8 sessions for that. I will be leaving to another country so will stopping the sessions in the mid-way will have any effect on my face? When can we see visible changes through PRP? Thanks in advance
Hi Satya Mounika M, PRP improves the skin from within, so the effects of treatment last, and each succeeding treatment builds on the results of the last, even if you stop treatment, and decide to resume later. When I administer PRP for skin rejuvenation, we treat, then observe results of treatment, then treat again as needed. I do not tell my patients before we start treatment that only 8 sessions will work as we don't know how patients respond to PRP until results of treatment are observed. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @yogacentre8315, PRP can help improve skin quality and thickness from within. PRP can be used in conjunction with thermal treatments to tighten the skin. However, there is a limit to collagen induction treatments in skin tightening, and trying to get non-surgical skin lifting especially with thermal devices can harm not only the skin, but the essential fat layer beneath the skin that gives it youthful volume and suppleness. I hope this clarifies things for you.
I just did a prp vampire facial and next day my face has red marks and it’s itchy I’m wondering is this normal ?? Also I had only my plasma injected on the face no fillers included will it still be effective?? I’m still in my recovery stages so I’m clueless and hope these red blemish looking marks go away soon
Hi Samara PR4u, Sorry to hear about your problem. I suggest you follow up with your performing doctor for a proper examination as those are possible signs of infection. PRP on its own is used for skin rejuvenation, as explained in the video, but doesn't have much effect on volume which is why filler is sometimes administered at the same time. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Who should give the Prp/Prf injections? What about clinics that claim everyone doing injections is "highly qualified"? I'm scared to let anyone near me but I am really unhappy with my eye hollows. Filler is not an option for me based on my discomfort with them.
Hi Trace S, You should ask the clinic about who can best respond to an emergency if there are complications from the injection, where the answer would be the experienced doctor. With that said, PRP or PRF are for improving the skin quality, not to provide lasting volume for under eye hollowness. You can refer to these videos about treatment under eye hollowness: ua-cam.com/video/VzzsbNDlaHQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Q0QiNH7LUVI/v-deo.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thank you Dr. Prasad for the information and advice :) I watched both videos and although Prp/Prf does not add volume, I'm hoping that the dark appearance could at least be improved somewhat in that area. Hi @MrRithal88, PRP or PRF can stimulate collagen synthesis in the skin to improve skin quality, texture, and thickness, so it can improve issues like wrinkles, but it can't lift sagging skin. Thermal treatments may tighten skin, but exceeding a safe limit to avoid surgical lifting can damage the skin, and make appearance even worse than before treatment. You can refer to these videos about why the appearance of sagging skin may actually be volume loss, and how non-surgical thermal treatments to "lift" sagging skin can do more harm than good if you're trying to avoid surgical lifting: ua-cam.com/video/o5WRIwrVeVI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/u6NgcAjecGo/v-deo.html

Hi doc i want a permanent solution of my genetic sunken eye with dark circles. Is it possible to treat this problem for lifetime after 4-5 sitting of prp?
Hi Akhil Badoni, PRP may help improve skin quality, texture, and color, but it doesn't treat under eye hollowness significantly, and it won't prevent the causes of dark circles from occurring again, such as pooled blood, sun exposure, iron deposits, pollution, lack of sleep, or prevent the skin from aging. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Aldriene Soriano, I do perform microneedling with PRP. Microneedling stimulates collagen production through a controlled injury response. PRP can help with controlled injury healing after microneedling, and also improves skin quality with its growth and healing factors. PRP also stimulates collagen production in the body. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @@aldrienesoriano3175, I'm not sure what you mean as PRP is a serum taken from your own blood, as it's prepared by spinning your own blood in a centrifuge.
Hi Doctor! Sorry for the confusion. Just blood in a plain tube letting it set on it’s own without spinning in a centrifuge. Say 2hrs then extract prp. Wondering if it will give same benefits.
Hi @@aldrienesoriano3175, I would not advise that as it may compromise sterility, and increases chances of contamination and possible infection. PRP should be used as soon as possible after extraction. I hope this helps you.

Hi Ingrid Gursli, Incidence of blindness after under eye filler are related to injecting the filler into a vessel and general inexperience with under eye injections. Having it done by an experienced doctor who works a lot around the eyes greatly reduces the chances of this happening. For example, as an oculoplastic surgeon, I've never had a patient go blind from any eye procedure. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thank you for your reply:) I am just wondering whether PRP carries any risk at all, since it is not technically a filler material like restylane.
You're welcome,@@Ingrid452! With injectables under the eyes, experience and technique are important. Many doctors won't perform injections under the eyes due to lack of experience.

Hi I did my 1st PRP yesterday I wanna ask that will it cause anything to my face or to my eyes cuz alot of ppl r saying to me that these injections are not good n I have next appointment after 2 weeks so I wanna ask is it ok?
Hi Shahnaz Khan, If you are asking about injections of PRP alone for hair loss, they do have an effect of short-term hair hair growth, and they will not cause problems in your face or eyes. While I do use PRP alone in skin rejuvenation, a PRP combination is more effective for treating hair loss, it doesn't need frequent treatment sessions, and in fact lasts 3-5 years, or even more, with 1-2 treatment sessions. Hi VidalsKinship, It does depend on the person, the extent of damage to the essential fat layer from previous treatments like overheating or overexposure to lasers, etc. With PRP, and other similar treatments for skin quality improvement, it follows the process of treating, observing results, then considering treatment again to build on improvement. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi@@vidalskinship9821, I won't be able to assess your essential fat layer without physically examining your skin. Hi Devang Joshi, It's important to confirm the cause of your jaundice first, and how severely your liver is affected. Jaundice is a symptom, and there are varying degrees of the liver being affected. Finasteride and all other drugs are processed by the liver, so confirm with your doctor first about your liver condition before resuming. I hope this helps you.

Hi Rakesh Shinde, Can you clarify what you mean by facial regrowth? Facial aging affects volume in the face where bone, muscle, fat, and soft tissue diminish with age, and PRP does not increase facial bone and muscle volume. Hi Dr Farzana Alam, PRP may take more than one treatment for dark circles, and other treatments like laser and radiofrequency can also help dark circles. Dark circles are limited to under the eyes, and other pigmentation in other parts of the body are separate issues, and would be treated differently. Dark circles are improved, not completely erased. PRP is not meant as a treatment to change lip color. I don't perform treatments or prescribe medication to change skin color. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hello, do you now offer PRF (vs. PRP) as an optional treatment ? Can you get PRF withOUT any mixed fillers for long term effects *(under eye hollows & mouth area) ? What would an estimate be for just 2 vials of PRF for under eye? I read that one would go for PRF or PRP treatments twice within 3 months & that the effects of this procedure lasts for 2 years... is this accurate ? I am in the NY area. Also does one need to have a full physical examination to rule out any illnesses which could potentially prove detrimental w/the usage of PRF injections ? (For example I have had Lyme disease before. It's been 4 years, however uncertain if it's still in my system or how much could be present). I saw a youtube video (lanaindiana) & she had had PRP done. It clearly gave much volume to her facial features. Would you describe PRF treatments as a collagen builder which typically adds enough facial volume to make such a noticeable difference or does it vary widely from person to person?
Hi Deirdre Baker, I do PRFM treatments when a time release of growth factors are needed, such as healing. However, PRFM or PRP are collagen stimulation treatments, they do not add significant facial volume, so a filler may be need as well. The treatment may still be possible with your past medical issues. We don’t have set costs for treatment as each patient has different needs, and some treatments are more extensive than others. Hi@@siyashrestha8730,
PRP improves skin health and quality, so its effects don't fade like a filler.
How many treatments before you seen results? I’ve done it twice without benefits
Hi@@iSpritz,
It does depend on how you respond to treatment, and the area or issue you are having treated. Not everyone responds the same way to PRP treatment, and PRP isn't a treatment for all issues. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Best thing I’ve ever done for my skin. Never doing Botox again. Massive improvement to uneven skin tone and every other thing that was bothering me.
That's great to hear, @jazzmoon77. PRP, and PRF are unique treatments for improving skin quality, texture, and color.
Love the quality content on your videos, thank you! A few questions,
will PRP affect the longevity of my Botox? Also, can PRP be done on the lips, to give them a plump look? Lastly, how often should PRP be done (what maintenance schedule do you recommend)?
Hi Myra Nur Lakdawala,
Thank you for watching! You can refer to these videos about what Botox can and cannot do, and how to add volume to the lips while still looking natural:

Hi doctor which do you recommend PRP micro needling or injection for skin rejuvenation?
Hi H Owen,
It depends on the issue being treatment.
Hi doc! Even though PRP injections doesn’t stop the skin from aging, can it slow down the aging process?
Hi Amy Thai,
Yes, PRP can address skin aging as the skin does lose collagen every year as we age, and PRP can stimulate collagen production. PRP can also add luster and glow to the skin to help it appear younger. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi sir ..wich is better prp or prf to look younger and more fresh ? Thanks .
Hi Dorra Kotti,
Platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin matrix are both PRP.
Hi@@dorrakotti2507,
No, PRFM does not work that way. You may be thinking of the Vampire Facelift that uses PRP and a single syringe of filler that lifts the skin outward away from the bone structure by adding a little volume, but it does not lift the skin upward. I hope this clarifies things for you.
PRF under eyes which goes wrong. Hard and big bumps can be dissolved with HA dissolvers?
Hi @ekavelasquez1553,
Sorry to hear about your problem.
Hi @navyaborugadda3140,
Downtime does depend on factors like how your skin heals, and how aggressive the treatment is, so I can't give you an exact number of days. Keep in mind that treatments like microneedling are designed to mildly injure the skin, so the body responds to the injury by synthesizing collagen to heal the affected area, and improve the skin.
There are several treatment options for acne scars aside from microneedling, which are more controllable for the practitioner. You can refer to these videos about it:

Whats the treatment for under eye bags? Does PRP helps in reducing under eye bags?
Hi @shweta9763,
Eye bags that are due to prolapsed orbital fat can only be treated by sculpting and removing the prolapsed fat with lower eyelid surgery, and in some slight cases camouflaging the puffiness non-surgically with filler. Hi Nazanin Mazkoori,
The number of PRP sessions needed depends on the issue being treated, and the response of the individual patient for each treatment session. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi doctor I was just wondering how often one should have this done? Thank you.
Hi baby kisses,
It depends on the condition of your skin, and what you are specifically treating.

Is it similar recovery to injectable swelling or more so like kybella? Also what have your patients thought of the pain level for under eyes since I’ve been told no numbing cream is allowed?
Hi TheCherrytouch,
With the way I approach PRP under the eyes, there is minimal swelling, and topical anesthetic can be used so it's virtually painless. Kybella involves much more swelling as more injection pokes through the skin are needed. I hope this clarifies things for you.

I am 23 and have dark genetic eye circles that make me look very tired. I am very healthy and get adequate sleep. Is PRP a great option to treat the dark circles?
Hi kashlyy,
Yes, PRP can help improve the skin quality and thickness of lower eyelid skin, while stimulating collagen and increasing blood supply to the lower eyelids. Hi Cristina Sun,
I apply hyaluronic acid and PRP at the same time with skin boosting, as well as with injectable PRP and hyaluronic acid filler at the same time, so generally it can be done. 3. Does it will be done in prp facial rejuvenation.
4. DOES it suitable on oily and acne prone skin I know not on active acne but can be done because sometime breakouts so it's will be best.
Hi@@iqrasheikh7487,
PRP improves the health and quality of the skin, so the effects don't fade, but at the same it cannot stop the effects of aging.

Hi Ajit007,
There is no one best treatment for acne scars, as treatment differs among skin types, and types of scars. What is important is staying with the same doctor for treatment as acne scars require a treatment plan of several sessions, not just one treatment and you're done, or one treatment then moving onto a different doctor or device. Hello doctor, i read a study about Prp used as a filler, mentionning that there were a few cases of blindness after treatment.
Are the risks the same if prp is applied by microneedling ?
Thank you !
Hi @NinorahDeux,
You are referring to vascular occlusion , where filler inadvertently blocks an artery. It actually occurs with hyaluronic acid fillers, which are thicker than PRP. It does not apply to PRP microneedling.
Vascular occlusion is explained in this video, for your reference - ua-cam.com/video/lA6ietCvZf8/v-deo.html
Thank you ! I thought there were two ways to use PRP on face, here is the study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7722697/@@AmiyaPrasadMD
Hi@@NinorahDeux,
2 cases in the study indicate treatment was performed by non-physicians, which is an important factor.

Side effects of prp? Doc recommend me prp for dark circels
Hi @sarahmalik3829,
There are no side effects to PRP treatment, as the material is from your own body, and treatment can be safely repeated to build on results. I go for injections. Which is good and safe ? I just read a comment from u that microneedling can cause hyperpigmentation and it's quite harsh for skin. Is that true ?
Hi Archana Verma,
I perform facial PRP treatments with both injections, and microneedling, but mostly injections.
Hello Sir!

Hi Savita chaudhary,
To correct you, it's called platelet-rich plasma as it is a serum with a high concentration of platelets.

People use PRP 1-2 times a year for maintenance of overall skin quality, but like I said previously, PRP alone may not be enough to treat acne scars, so it's unlikely that PRP alone can be used for maintenance. Hi Satya Mounika M,
PRP improves the skin from within, so the effects of treatment last, and each succeeding treatment builds on the results of the last, even if you stop treatment, and decide to resume later.
When I administer PRP for skin rejuvenation, we treat, then observe results of treatment, then treat again as needed. I do not tell my patients before we start treatment that only 8 sessions will work as we don't know how patients respond to PRP until results of treatment are observed. Does PRP works for Saginess of skin
Hi @yogacentre8315,
PRP can help improve skin quality and thickness from within.

Hi Samara PR4u,
Sorry to hear about your problem. I suggest you follow up with your performing doctor for a proper examination as those are possible signs of infection. PRP on its own is used for skin rejuvenation, as explained in the video, but doesn't have much effect on volume which is why filler is sometimes administered at the same time. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Trace S,
You should ask the clinic about who can best respond to an emergency if there are complications from the injection, where the answer would be the experienced doctor.

Incidence of blindness after under eye filler are related to injecting the filler into a vessel and general inexperience with under eye injections. Hi I did my 1st PRP yesterday I wanna ask that will it cause anything to my face or to my eyes cuz alot of ppl r saying to me that these injections are not good n I have next appointment after 2 weeks so I wanna ask is it ok?
Hi Shahnaz Khan,
If you are asking about injections of PRP alone for hair loss, they do have an effect of short-term hair hair growth, and they will not cause problems in your face or eyes.
While I do use PRP alone in skin rejuvenation, a PRP combination is more effective for treating hair loss, it doesn't need frequent treatment sessions, and in fact lasts 3-5 years, or even more, with 1-2 treatment sessions. You can refer to these videos about it:

@@AmiyaPrasadMD I did PRP injection for my dark circles on eyes
Hi@@shahnazkhan9903,
PRP for treating dark circles can only help improve your skin quality, skin thickness, and overall skin health. I administer it regularly to my patients with dark circles, with only positive effects. You can refer to my videos on treating dark under eye circles with PRP, and other complementary treatments:

How many treatments are needed to improve facial fat tissue?
Hi VidalsKinship,
It does depend on the person, the extent of damage to the essential fat layer from previous treatments like overheating or overexposure to lasers, etc. With PRP, and other similar treatments for skin quality improvement, it follows the process of treating, observing results, then considering treatment again to build on improvement. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD thanks a lot for answering my question.
You're welcome,@@vidalskinship9821
@@AmiyaPrasadMD is it possible to send pictures of my case? To an email address.
Hi@@vidalskinship9821,
I won't be able to assess your essential fat layer without physically examining your skin. Also, I won't be able to tell how many treatments you need until I see your response to the initial treatment, or even how your respond after more than one treatment session. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir finopesia is safe drug or not? Many people are saying that it has many side effects . Is that true?
Hi Shravan p.v,
Finasteride is generally a safe drug, but there is a small chance of side effects in about 2% of patients. Side effects are relatively rare, and these side effects do happen in many men regardless of the drug due to lack of sleep, exercise, and excess stress. I hope this clarifies things for you.
sir i was suffering from jaundice . now i m recovering i stopped taking finesteride for last 12 dayes so should i resume it?? it is safe to consume in jaundice??
Hi Devang Joshi,
It's important to confirm the cause of your jaundice first, and how severely your liver is affected. Jaundice is a symptom, and there are varying degrees of the liver being affected. Finasteride and all other drugs are processed by the liver, so confirm with your doctor first about your liver condition before resuming. I hope this helps you.
Amiya Prasad, M.D. Thank u my jaundice was normal jaundice 3dayes back my report was about to normal .. doctor allows me to eat every thing , doctor told me that the jaundice was infected by water or food to me ... my bilirubin level is 1.2 before 4 dayes thank u...
You're welcome, Devang Joshi! You should be able to continue with finasteride if your doctor has ruled out liver issues.

Sir Can we do prp for facial regrowth..?
Hi Rakesh Shinde,
Can you clarify what you mean by facial regrowth? Facial aging affects volume in the face where bone, muscle, fat, and soft tissue diminish with age, and PRP does not increase facial bone and muscle volume. Skin also thins with age, and PRP can improve skin thickness, as well as the essential fat layer beneath the skin. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Sir i want to know about facial hair regrowth..i m loosing my hairs on face like beard mustache eyebrows and eye lash...
And the hair loss is also on whole body.. and treatment isn't responding...
How can i deal with this problem.. plz help me sir .
Hi@@googlebaba1349,
Sorry to hear about your problem. You need to see a doctor for a proper examination and diagnosis, possibly alopecia totalis. I can't diagnose you without a physical examination, but you need a physical examination before treatment can be prescribed. I hope this helps you.
Sir.. can we get 100% resut for alopecia unviversalis or alopecia totalis?
Hi@@googlebaba1349,
It's a pretty rare condition, so you need to discuss it during your diagnosis. I hope this helps you.
What is the cost?, how long does it last??
Hi Betty Gordon,
There is no set cost for treatment since extent of treatment differs among individual patients. PRP is a long-term solution as it improves the health and quality of the skin, but like any other treatment, it can't stop the skin from aging. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hello sir... I m 30 years old and got a face PRP 1 month ago becauseofI have a under eye dark circle and rough skin. So I need to know can only PRP can remove the dark circle all over? Or I need something other treatment add to PRP? Can PRP change the lip color a mild if I get it into lip??
Hi Dr Farzana Alam,
PRP may take more than one treatment for dark circles, and other treatments like laser and radiofrequency can also help dark circles.
Does PRP contribute to volume increase in the midface?
Hi Cathrine Katsigianni,
PRP can improve the fat layer under the skin, which provides some additional volume, but not much. If you are looking to add cheek volume, you can watch this video for reference - ua-cam.com/video/GlF2ePf1AGw/v-deo.html
Does PRP help to reduce melasma on face
Hi Shresht Charan,
Usually the treatment for melasma is a laser. You can refer to this video about it - ua-cam.com/video/O4lxlY_9akM/v-deo.html
thank you for the knowledge
You're welcome, Mark Burns! Glad you found the video helpful!
Hello Dr Prasad I am 60 male, I did my first PRP 6 months ago , then had my second yesterday with some filters as you adviced , the doctor after examine and discussion about my appearance due to age, he suggest to do two more monthly meaning total 3 in 3 months , then after that 6 monthly or if needed , what is your opinion, will that be ok. Thanks in advance
Hi nas s,
I haven't seen the issues you want to treat, while your doctor has, so it's not my place to question their recommendation, so I defer to their diagnosis. However, it does sound like a reasonable treatment plan. I hope this helps you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Thanks for reply , I feel ok about it coz he reassured me after clinical examination, but just want your kind opinion about is having PRP monthly for only 3 months ok or any side effects.
You're welcome,@@nass6212! There are no side effects to PRP treatment, and successive treatments can be done safely.
Hi Deirdre Baker,
I do PRFM treatments when a time release of growth factors are needed, such as healing. However, PRFM or PRP are collagen stimulation treatments, they do not add significant facial volume, so a filler may be need as well. The treatment may still be possible with your past medical issues.
