In my opinion, no other horror game can beat this. In theory, Mono becoming the thin man, thin man trying to kill Mono in another timeline, tells a history of pure despair, because Mono can never find peace.
Exactly right! The fact we don’t have closure or clues and only theories lead us to just speculate what happened and what will happen next. We should have more LN games.
I don't think thin was trying to kill mono. whenever you get caught by the thin man he just grabs you we never seen him kill or harm mono unlike other bosses. also at the boss fight also mono tries to kill thin man, he (thin man) gave a sign by his hand which means to stop "✋️"

actually the "Thin Man" doesn't want to kill Mono, he wants to prevent what happened to him in the future. Evidence that he really doesn't want to kill Mono is in the death scenes in the game. When Mono is killed, he is devoured by monsters, while the "Thin Man" just takes him, but does not kill him. Not to mention that when he takes Six, he doesn't kill him either. Which proves that the future Mono (Thin Man) doesn't want to kill Six, just stop her from betraying Mono.
I'd personally love a dlc where we play as thin man.
That would be so interesting! Maybe we can play as Mono while he’s trapped so we can see his struggles. Maybe he tried to escape but the eye monster sent him enemies and obstacles to keep him trapped. In the end, he realized his trapped and accepted his fate as Thin Man.

I have a feeling the dlc will be from Six's perspective particularly her time in the signal tower(after all she was able to escape the thin man for a brief moment) I faintly recall it being stated that reality and time in the signal tower is very different than the outside. Whatever she witnessed and experienced in that tower before Mono arrived could factor in why she betrayed him

I learned not to expect a good ending from little nightmares. It’ll always be tragic just like LN2 and LN dlc but we think LN3 could be a fight between six and mono or mono saving six! Hehe
Unfortunately, Tarsier Studios (the creators of LN) has stated that they won’t make any more LN games. However, Bandai Namco had expressed an interest in continuing the franchise.
Ok six let him go because she was scared he'd harm her, she knows he's the thin man, that's why he always tries to wear things over his face, mono is stuck in a dream loop, he always inevitably becomes the thin man and tries to destroy or maybe protect his younger self

Also, she ate the runaway kid because she was slowly becoming a cannibal because of the lady, she needed to contain her hunger so that she wouldn't die or worse, fully become one of the guests
Mono and the kid dont deserve any of this, but 6 doesnt either and she's just trying to survive too, so she does everything for a reason
LN1: Six kills (Six/Lady) from the future and remains trapped in the Loop. And in the DLC we see that she kills Seven who turned into a mini pyramid head and at the end of the game we see the "Thin Man" scene on television. Which can confirm that he made it out of the Loop
LN2: Mono 'kills' his future self (Thin Man) thinking he was trying to kill him, but he was actually preventing the inevitable. Mono is betrayed by Six (probably because he destroyed the music box, after all, if you look at it, it's still cool because of the music box, even though Six is a monster. And if you destroy the music box, you can notice that the box is distorted and macabre. Which gives me the idea that that music box serves to calm down or bring the real Six back. Not to mention that Six can see Mono's face at the end of the game, which we can mention that she saw similarities with the Thin Man, so she might find him a danger in her path. Not to mention that in LN1 Six tries to become the host of the Lady, imagine Mono being there. It would make sense for her to have done that, since I try two hosts would not work). Mono is trapped in a dimension where the entity tries to corrupt him, but he fails. Because we see Mono growing up, which means he's been there for years, fighting the entity until he reaches his peak. Which makes him look like the Thin Man we know.
There's also the red, blue, and gray light theory in the scene where Mono becomes the Thin Man. The theory is; Red color means love, blue color means sadness and gray color means depression.
Such an amazing analysis of the games! There are so many possible theories from all the games and I love that. I hope they continue the series and satisfy us with more games and theories. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
The red is actually is pure rage from mono then turns into a more toned purple light indicating how his rage died down and only sadness remained

i like to think that it’s a looping nightmare-the game begins with the scene of mono having a nightmare about the hallway. the game ends in the sane way. if you were to play the beginning cutscene after the ending, it would probably match up.

@@tomatocatch well it just proves that LN2 is a prequel. Her soul was separated from her when the Thin Man took her and that’s why she has a hunger because a part of her is missing and is searching for it which explains the hunger. In the secret ending, dark Six points at the Maw which is where she ends up in LN.
I could imagine two things at the end of little nightmares 2 of what happened.
1. Mono was always supposed to become the thin man.
2. It’s more like a Davy Jones scenario where their most always be a thin man.

@@KingDragonBoyPrime1998 After Mono becomes the thin man, the next thin man in your playthrough will try to stop the loop, because they will be aware of it in a certain point of time. The hard part to explain is why he would do this, but is is probably because he was stuck in the signal tower for such an amount of time, with only his thoughts of betrayal to be in company with him. (please correct me if im wrong, i dont really know much.)

I just love to hear the change in the music, at first it has that semblance of a music box, much like Six's music box. Like it represent some of that naivity that Mono has, a faint glimmer of hope. But it soon changes, the background ticking goes from sounding like a music box note to more of the clock ticking sound. but that clock ticking has always been there the moment he's in that room, it just grows and grows until it overshadows any last hope Mono has. All that's left by the end is an imposing melody, an ominous chorus in the background, and the dreaded seconds of the clock ticking by encompassing it all. You become aware of all the seconds, you hear it, feel it, know it passes by but are unable to stop its progression. Time simply passes by, and you could only sit and feel it go by

I've already played both games like 4 times, but everytime i see this scene i just get chills. It's so creepy with the music, and the clock ticking in the background. This game is pure art, and nightmare fuel. Really looking forward for the future of the franchise.

@@APRILtheCowardlyGamer no, mono is actually able to get out of the tower after he accepts his fate. He goes to a police station and gets the hat, meanwhile he gets the suit from the school. The proof is given in the new artworks of Ln2 official and other stuff.

Just finished this game with my older brother.. he played the game while I watched and tried to help him throughout. As little nightmares 3 is confirmed to be coming (not 100% sure but probably in 2025) it makes me think I’ll forget how excited I was about this storyline and playing it with him. And in the far future when we play the next game everything will be so different but the same. As of now it’s 2023, I’m 17 years old, my brother is 21, it’s the beginning of a busy summer to a busy Senior year. Excited to see what the future brings and where this ends up.
I must say that this game brings out a lot of emotions from every person. Would love to play LN3 and when it comes out I'll be playing 1 and 2 again.

Many people are just presuming that six betrayed mono when it would really be much more to it than that.
I think she did what she did because she saw Mono’s face and it was the same as the thin man’s. Anyone would be scared if that happened.

As to how they look Flickr we never got to have a clear picture of Mono’s face except except for Six. Haha. I really hope there’s a dlc and little nightmares 3. They might announce something at E3 though.

You can even hear static in the music near the end when he's revealed to be the thin man, and when Mono and thin man are physically close in game you can hear feedback, like a speaker and mic in proximity, the past and the future
@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 when I was editing this I actually had to listen to my main recording again. I thought my file was damaged coz a part of it had static. That’s really amazing though. Also, every time mono absorbed glitches he glitches himself too. The signal tower seems to turn things into their nightmares. Six fearing the loss of her music box thus turning her into a monster and Mono with the thin man which in turn actually turned him. I really love this game!

Why doesn't anyone talk about how the light behind him looks like the hood of 6's raincoat, and how it slowly became less noticeable throughout the SIX stages where he became the thin man?

Mono didn't become The Thin Man he is The Thin Man
Mono didn't start off as the thin man. He was mono. Something inside the signal tower changed him and he became the thin man after some time. Same thing with Six. Six wasn't a monster. She became a monster after spending some time inside the tower. Though it was Mono's fate to become the thin man he started as Mono. The goo of eyes seems to be doing something.

For sure! Everything that led to that moment has been scary but made it bearable since he had his friend with him. That moment of betrayal just cemented his fear even more...

Personally I don’t blame Six, but I feel bad for mono too. Yeah he made mistakes with her, and I know he tried to make up for those mistakes. Such as rescuing her after he coward in fear when she got kidnapped. He’s a child, of course he’d be afraid, he has every right to.
But I think it was unforgivable for him to break and destroy her music box just because he’s too afraid to be alone. The thin man didn’t hurt her, I don’t think he ever wanted to, I don’t think he even distorted her. He gave her a small safe space with a music box that brought her comfort. In this case I feel like ignorance is bliss, considering how cruel their world is. I think he should have left her alone personally.
They’re only children and was never ‘taught’ anything. They know how to survive however they can. So I don’t think six deserves all the hate, and as kind as mono is, he isn’t innocent either. They both made cruel mistakes with each other. Unfortunately that’s the world of little nightmares.

I think for Mono he meant well and was trying to save monster Six. I also think that after Aix got sucked into the tv tower she changed. This is why I live the world of Little Nightmares. So many theories we can think of and talk about.

Has anyone noticed how the song/ost sounds a lot like the lady from little nightmares 1 humming...the tick tock as well also plays along with her humming....If you play them side by side you can actually hear the similarities

If you go see the short of the mirror lady from tye first game humming...the clock ticking sound and heartbeat matches the ost of mono becoming thin man....could it be connected....crazy theory to think about since little nightmares 1 came out long before 2 but I love the Easter eggs ass well
