Quote: "So i've accepted Christ and now I am guaranteed for all eternity, the danger of that is you tend to relax." Exactly! That's what we are meant to do, We enter God's rest and cease to work-that's the good news of the Gospel. ♥️ Thank you, brother.

Hey brother Jeremiah, it's brother Richard. When I was a young believer and on fire for God, I struggled with lust. When I became aware of an elder in the church who had gone through some severe failures in the past morally, I thought " well, he went through that and now he's an elder. " And I feel that the enemy used that to encourage me to start dabbling with sin. It became the sin that I ended up back in bondage to. Any thoughts?

If you haven't been accused of teaching a license to sin, you aren't teaching grace. The true license to sin is taught by those who are trying to live lives of obedience and repentance to commands designed to modify their behavior. Why? Because to live that life you have to submit to laws, commands, decrees, sacraments, etc; that increases sin. When you violate those laws, you must pay a penalty. What's that penalty? Asking for forgiveness. Then you are cleared to continue living under those laws. It is like when you get a driver's license. The driver's license says you agree to abide by the traffic laws and when you violate those laws you pay a penalty. That penalty could be a fine all the way up to losing your license and the privilege of driving (i.e. losing your salvation). That is the same as those under the laws of God or the laws they make up in their religions.

Knowing that I have eternal life will cause me to live a life of sin? That's crazy.Sonfheybfeny salvation is transformative?

Everyone acts like we want to sin. There is temptation but is there any sin we enjoy for long. There are terrible consequences. It is a terrible feeling to betray and act disgracefully. Do these teachers in this doc really thinks everyone will rejoice in living like hell? Crazy
Sounds like they want to keep everyone feeling guilty and in fear. I’m not joking that is what they preach.
It is like telling a child if they cross the road unassisted they will be horribly eaten by a monster. It’s a lie but they justify it by saying see it kept the child from getting into danger. They want us in fear not of the Lord but of hell and condemnation.

People want Jesus plus their own works, it doesn't work like that and this way of thinking is luke warm.

Yes It’s annoying when people quote this verse (Revelation 3:16
"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.") It’s literally referring to those that try to mix grace with the law. Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
