I definitely can relate with calorie counting - Chris loves it but I have similar issues. I hope that switching it up is a great solution for up. The fact that you keep pushing forward towards your goals is so inspiring! 💕❤️
I think some of the principles from SW are brilliant eg 1/3 speed on your plate, ensuring you have good calcium and fibre choices every day, minimising sugar choices and bread / pastries etc … that works really well as it’s healthy. I find calorie counting I pick more sugary / fatty foods (because I can) which in turn means I crave sugary / fatty foods. I’ve lost 58 pounds but have but on 6 in the past 5 weeks through messing about. I’ve had day 1 back on cc this morning but am making sure I do 1/3 speed and lots of lean protein etc
Hi becca I'm on a maintain train, I lost 4.5 stone with slimming world which I still follow from Monday to Friday and cc at the weekends which is working for me find the structure with work routine and SW works for me during the week x

I am on a maintain journey after losing 5 and half stone with SW I wanted more freedom so I decided to do a mix of SW and calorie counting and it is really working for me. I do naturally reach for the more healthy option. Hope your week goes well x
Same problem I'm having hun. Stopped doing SW in January and haven't lost no way near what I used to lose on SW. Problem I've got is I do like CC and don't really want to go back to SW if I'm honest, but never say never, and as we know SW does work! @@rebeccaj I'll keep my fingers crossed for you huni, it's definitely a tricky one because CC is so convenient we are out and about, but it does throw us of healthy eating. Try and incorporate both and see how you go, I'll be excited to see the outcome x

Aww sorry only just seen this🙈 most of the things I have are on there, I think the only thing that isn't is crispy beef, I usually find the nearest thing I can to it, I think it's a Morrisons one and I just say half the pack (even though I only have a 2 tablespoons...it's definitely higher than the supermarket one would be🤣)

I have followed you for a while and I have done exactly the same I have gone back to Slimming World. It’s actually more freedom despite what many think. Calorie counting opens up too many temptations x

I calorie count but I do make slimming world recipes and also use pinch of nom books which are just low calorie meals I have been losing better this way than slimming world. I think everything is just personal in what works for you good luck

Hi bec, you've done amazing so far and lost so much your an inspiration. I think it could be getting tougher now that lockdown is easing and we're returning to some sort of normality which can affect our willpower. You have to do what suits you but be careful as the so called "free-dom" that slimming world offers is only factually correct to a certain degree if you are within that calorie deficit. Have you you thought about checking the calorie intake for you again using James Smith or fitness chef? And honest level of activity input? I wish you the best for this week xx
Definitely Sam, with some kind of normality resuming and seeing friends and family more, it's definitely been harder than when we were at home all the time. Yes, that's the thing that surprised me the most was how much the free food equalled. I suppose I'm just going to be incorporating alot more veg on my plate than I have been. I do check James Smith calculator every couple of weeks but haven't heard of fitness chef...off I go to find him/her🤣🥰
@@rebeccaj it is wonderful having these family and friend times I'm so happy to have them back but it is tricky for those of us who have tricky moments with staying on track whatever plan we're doing but I have been trying to alter my mindset into remembering how good I feel now I've lost so much weight and how I don't want to gain that volume back again ever ! but I do have concerns for the future I'm already beginning to think what do I do when I have my staycation for a week next month 🤦I mean most outings I can bring my salad but when it's not possible I hope I can remain calm like thin people who don't even consider it (lucky them!). Fitness chef is a guy with some fab books too worth a read and a fitness calculator worth checking his website. Keep going though you are fab 👍👍
With the infection rates soaring and likely to get worse I really wouldn’t eat or handle any food items brought in by the children or parents. I don’t mean to be insensitive but too many people handling food is not socially distancing or basic hygiene may not be the best. Just a thought.
I know what you mean and the only stipulation is that everything is individually wrapped... I'll be avoiding it as much as I can anyway...blinkers on if there are any things that may tempt🤣

I did calorie counting for a while and liked it but I found I didn't eat any fresh food so didn't feel as well as I did when doing SW xx
