I seriously would use a lot of that stuff in regular builds. I love doing modern / industrial builds. I love so many of these items. I wonder if people would be so negative if these items weren’t part of star wars.
Same! I would absolutely use these in regular builds and I love industrial builds/decor. I understand the frustration about the star wars thing. I'm not even a fan of the franchise. But really, I can find a home for these.
A bit of Star Wars explanation. At the beginning of each movie, there is the phrase on screen that says "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away." Star Wars is labeled as Science Fantasy because it takes place in an entirely made up universe. There is no Earth or anything that we know other than 'humans' being the most prominent race. However, a lot of animal names do get used, but they are usually a Star Wars version of the animal. Such as the Loth Cats, which are sort of cat-like, but also have really big mouths and scaly feet like a bird. Another key feature is that it's a 'used universe." In the world of Star Wars, people and aliens have been traveling the galaxy for thousands of years. As such, a lot of cities and space ships are really old and grungy, with a lot of history to them.
It was a big "No" from me until I watched this Video. Thank you so very much for showing the entire list of things here. I now can see many items that can tie in with a lot of my stories. I am not a Fan of the over all Pack, but I love the Items.
So you're going to be using this as a stuff pack, basically? This sends the following message to EA: We're willing to buy a stuff pack for $20. Don't expect quality-of-life improvements if this is the attitude.
THANK YOU LOVELY FOR INCLUDING DEBUG!!! that's often the best part hahaha (also side note I love your earrings!!) If you are not a Star Wars fan, don't worry you don't need to know stuff to use this pack! This pack is not based on a location in the actual movies - it was a made-up world by Disney to compliment the Star Wars series so that they could turn it into a theme park so technically, no Star Wars fan has ever seen most of this stuff in the movies either - don't worry non-fans of the series, it is new to most of us too! - it is unique to Disney World/Land, but it does follow the more grungy cyberpunk style of the franchise. I love this stuff so much, I always need more decor items for my builds lol. I'm personally good with a stylized pack, because Vampires, Realm of Magic, and Jungle Adventure all have objects that are based on very specific themes - it just adds more quirky fun! I guess I always think that is what a game pack is supposed to be lol Whereas Expansion Packs should fit better into all the worlds Although I like the challenge of showing how these objects can be used in other styles of builds too! I agree that it seems like we need more options for electronic or interactive furniture objects but that there is actually so much detail given to the interactive objects you have to unlock - there's so much for a game pack!! I personally do wish that every GP and EP came with at least one new swatch/build item for each category - we never get foundations and it is so hard to make the walls match lol I end up hiding it with debug - but they did put so much effort into the decorations and those textures and colors are just PERFECT THANK YOU for taking the time to show us all this, I really appreciate it and now I'm even more excited!!
some of the objects can be reused, but most of them are very selected just for star wars or for a sim who loves star wars, but i have to give it to them, it is actually well made tbh.. but i think the crates are too much LMAO
In the end, nothing is really usable since it doesn't match any of the other objects of the previous packs. Unfortunately, I'll pass this one. I won't make the same mistake, like I did with Sims 3 kate perry pack. 😑
I thought the sane thing. I hated the Katy Perry pack and didn't buy it because I didn't want to have cupcake chairs in my house or anything like that. And it's happening again. A few pieces might be usable, normally, but a lot of it is too out of place.
I forgot all about that Katy Perry pack. It definitely gave me a very strong feeling of buyer's remorse. I am not getting Star Wars because I refuse to relive that feeling. Plus, all of the reviews are helping to seal that deal. I'd rather donate the twenty dollars to charity.
Thank you a lot for showing all build-objects so detailed. I like the lightings, bin, flooring and a few other things but most of it I find really weird and unnessessary. Why did they spend their time on so many senseless objects? - they could have made more interesting stuff.
I love Star Wars and I think this pack translates the Star Wars aesthetic quite well and does a good job of balancing it with designs that can still be used in the regular Sims worlds (like with the tables, chairs, some of the lights). They don’t have TVs because in Star Wars they use holograms. The wallpapers are kinda disappointing though-those seem like recolors of some we already have
I am looking forward to this pack now. Game play within the pack is not something I would do but the build buy and debug hold a lot of promise. Sims 4 just became historical! I really want to set up a you tube channel to run the historical story now.
The data spike is for Computer spikes,[3] also known as data spikes, were electronic devices that, upon insertion into a computer, allowed the user to access classified data and programs. A group of rebels on the Outer Rim planet of Lothal used a computer spike to slice into an Imperial Communications Center and acquire its transmitter.[2] Data spikes were a common tool in the theft of starships, often used to override a ship's defenses. Hondo Ohnaka, however, preferred a different method by which he would load flattering information regarding himself into the vessel's memory bank in an attempt to convince it that it would be fun to let him in.
these items are really great for cyberpunk, dystopian, and apocalypse save files. just because they arnt family-play oriented doesnt mean theyre useless :P
As a big Star Wars fan, I could definitely see myself having some of these items as collectors items in my sims home, but that still doesn't justify the pack.
the holocrons switch on and off lights up with sound effect I have only tried Sith one so far. droids dont follow you around at all when return home from Batuu.
Even if I didn’t like Star Wars I’d be excited for this pack just for the build/buy/debug. Even if you never visit the world, the items can be used for steampunk builds, industrial builds, sci fi builds (can’t wait to decorate my GTW scientist lab further), all the robot toys/deco things will look amazing in themed bedrooms (you can have a sim who is a mega Star Wars fan haha) or to decorate stores that sell geeky stuff. I also see items that I would definitely use in standard builds such as some of those awesome hanging lights, vases, plants, booth seat etc. that bar could totally fit in a modern night club so I can’t wait to get my hands on the curved piece! There are definitely some things I will never use (same with a lot of base game items and items from all the other packs) but there is plenty here that I am so excited about, this is usually stuff we have to download CC for so I’m happy they’re releasing this. Thanks for sharing with us!
Wow so much hate 😱😬😓 I loove this pack and all the objects. I think it is sooo creative and I for one am bored by all the mundane things we usually get, so I really like this
Where I live, ALL the stuff packs are $25 (I’m my currency). EVERY SINGLE PACK in $25... except the Star Wars one! The Star Wars pack is $5 more! Idk why But it really annoys me for some reason.
At the end you were thinking of C3-PO, he's the gold humanoid robot. R2-D2 is the little walking droid which is the same as the ones you place down along with the BB droids.
I don't know about this pack, but you CAN kill other sims. One of the cursed idols from Jungle Adventure, for example, can set people on fire and may (but does not always) kill them.
Now as a fan of star wars and sims I may actually get this pack. However I will admit it does not heavily fit with the base world of the sims. However as my current household consists of a secret agent, astronaut and actor. I can see parts being useable. The data screens as spy tech, the lockers with blasters and armour as experimental gear. The more wierd items for the astronaut as items she found on her journey. And some of the other items as old props they kept. However even then for it to work in a household and not seem so off it needed careers to fit and would logically have to go in the basement or as hidden rooms on case of the agent. Honestly It seems like it could be a fun pack but it has set the bar low enough that I am not sure if it will be good. The only other ideas I can consider include stuff the using cantina on dine out in a run down looking restaurant, treating it like a broken down bar owned my crooks. PS. Despite my personal views on the pack we should not give content creators who review it stick. If they play through and review it as awful, then be happy they convinced you to not waste money, or if they enjoy it they shouldn't be given stick for it. We all have a different taste in what we like. I personally didn't enjoy island living, realms of magic and strangerville. Doesn't stop others from enjoying it
Never been interested in star wars don't even know whats it about lol so this was a pack I 100% didn't consider until i saw this video the objects are so unique!! They 100% work for the futurstic Lot I'm working on I love it
Thanks but no thanks sim team. Hard pass with this pack. But appreciate the sims games in general even though we are missing so much from the sims 4. I will continue to enjoy my imagination and storytelling of sims with what we have been given in previous packs. My fingers are crossed for better (missing) content in the future.
Thank you soooo much for this video which, with the one of the CAS I've already seen, gives us a very good global view of the SW Pack. I'm not a SW fan and even though I don't understand the match of this special universe and the Sims🤔...😒. Now I saw a very few items which can be reusable in my normal sims world but definitely nor enough to buy the pack. Thank you veeeery much again for this very helpful video, good job👍🏻.
Star Wars is set a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. So there is no earth and also no dogs (as far as we know) but there are loth-cats which originate from the planet Lothal and looks similar to the wood carvings in the dlc and guns are in fact called blasters but if you want to go more in depth they do all have separate names for example the ones you see next to the helmet on the rack are called F-11 blaster rifles. The aliens with horns are called zabraks or just zabrak if you are only taking about one. Holocrons are almost like a holographic book, however they cannot be open by just anybody only users of the force can open them and with the Jedi holocron you must use the light side of the force to open it and with the sith holocron you must use the dark side of the force to open it, they usually contain important information regarding the force. The kyber crystals are the core of a lightsaber, the crystals are normally found on a planet called Ilum where one crystals and only one will appear to you a cave and that crystal is now your own and it would be the colour that best suits your personality and to make the crystal red you would have to make it bleed which would give you great amounts of pain. If you have any other questions on Star Wars and it’s vast galaxy please put a comment under this one. One more thing the gold robot is named C-3PO and he is a protocol droid meaning that he is created to translate languages to people he don’t understand the person they are taking too and R2-D2 is an R series droid so you could in fact make him.
I love Star Wars and my heart goes out to all of you folks who are looking at this pack and trying to figure out what the heck you're even looking at. I can't imagine looking at something with 43 years of dense lore and trying to figure it out based on almost zero context! You're doing fine, thank you for doing this. I have to admit I laughed when you asked if there are no railings in Star Wars because honestly? Not as many as there should be, no.
For a Game Pack it has LOADS of objects and you don't even need to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate them! Apparently they thought that the builders will be the main customers at the end and the range of objects will be the only selling point (the gameplay does suck as far as I have seen). So practically they give an almost triple in size stuff pack at the price of two stuff packs. As a builder as I am, it seems like a good deal to me (even though I will wait for a sale just because). These objects are great for industrial, steampunk, sci-fi builds. Imagine builds like airstrips, labs, UFO's, factories, secret bunkers and so on! They can fit in Oasis Springs, if you demolish all the crappy base game builds. A factory can be in Willow Creek. Thank goodness for the grungy look too! I am sick and tired of getting on a mission to scroll through the catalogue every time I want worn-out looking stuff (and I don't own that many packs) and objects with metallic like textures. The problem with the pack is that the majority of players play with families in suburban homes (they would prefer babies that would demand even more interactions and waste of time than the toddlers that are annoying enough already) and they don't see the point in objects that are more out there as it concerns their use, so they complain. Their negativity is understandable.
I've seen almost all of the Star Wars movies (only because different boyfriends over the years dragged me to the movies), and I have no idea what most of this stuff is either, so don't feel bad. I don't even care what it is either lol! I think this game pack is a huge swing and miss on so many levels. Hard pass for me. Wouldn't even want it for free, junking up my hard drive. Next!
Why do I actually like the build buy? I’m conflicted between not buying this disney ad pack and really wanting some of the items 😬 (PS: C3P0 is the gold robot you were thinking of 🤣)
Loth-Cat 😭 I got a Loth-Cat/Tooka looking pet cat from the Gallery ages ago for my SW file. I'm so happy they put in one. Those things are my fave! Still overall think this pack is completely unnecessary for The Sims. But as a SW fan, I will obv have fun with it.
33:41 You missed the chance to say, "These *are* the droids you're looking for." (Well, I know you're not a Star Wars fan, but it is a reference to Star Wars Episode IV. 😉 )
The tall gold one is C3PO and the little beepy robot is R2D2. This pack is really too on the nose I think. They’ve mostly kept it general. Whenever they get too specific like this one, it doesn’t fly well :/
I'm digging some of the stuff in this pack as both a sims and star wars fan but the world itself doesn't sell it for me on the $40 price tag with what little is actually stuff to interact with/enter and not empty lot to build a home on but then again even with how little there is idk if I'd want to if given the chance I was really excited as someone who hasnt gotten to the actual park yet either
Waste of storage, the most wasteful pack ever. There is even no lots for players who liked that pack . I wonder what they will do with that pack... Just a few items I like, other than these, just trash.
As someone who liked the first six movies, whoever you're trying to tell to watch Star Wars, they're better off not watching TFA, TLJ and ROS. Those 3 movies brought people to hate the original movies as well.
I don't understand why you guys are so pressed because some people don't enjoy the stuff you like. Is anyone stopping you from enjoying the pack? I didn't know people allowed to speak were only the ones who like things...
WHO SAID IT WAS?!? All they said in the vid was they were not really interested/ have never seen it so they don’t know why things are the way they are.
No! People are allowed to say what they want as nd however many times as they want all the money and time people have put into this game yes they have every right to complain. You have no right telling people to stop complaining.
I understand that there is frustration with this pack, because of all the things the community is wishing for and not getting. But I think it's a bit dramatic, how much hate this pack gets. If you don't like it, don't buy it. The sims team doesn't owe us anything. It's a business in a commercial world. What I don't like about this video specifically, and I like simscommunity as a platform very much, is the fact, that you said you will review this pack not from a perspective of a star wars fan, but from a perspective of a simmer, but i don't see you doing that in an objective way. Throughout this video you constantly point out, that you have no knowledge about the star wars universe. I get it. I didn't see the movies, I also don't get the hype, but I think you could maybe put your personal negitive thoughts a little to the side and comment for example more on the textures, the styles of the object etc without always stating that you have no knowledge. I get that the pack is niche. You said that A LOT. And you are entitled to your own opinion but as you are a news outlet I would like to see more objective thoughts in these videos. And maybe a small personal review section at the end. I don't want you to put aside your opinion completely, but maybe turn it down a notch? Maybe it's just me, but I still think, the sims 4 is a game where you can do what ever you want. So maybe I will put a crate set in my Victorian build, but that would be my decision. And only because of the internet and social media we have a bit of influence in the processes of a multimillion dollar company, but that wasn't the case back in the day. Years back you just bought the packs the game developer published and maybe told your friends about how you wish for cars or something. This pack was made to make money. I know. But there are also the game developers who designed something with a lot of work hours (even maybe unpaid ones) and I think it's a bit disrespectful, to always criticize SO strongly. At the end of the day, it's a game. And I don't see anything in this pack that is offensive to me. But your tone and how you put things was highly over dramatic and not very analytic. I hope you understand this as a constructive criticism and not as I offens against your person. At the end of the day, it's just my opinion.
@@abbyhasnoopinions946 Hi. I was just pointing out, that he is the Administrator of a news channel. And therefor could be more analytic in his review. I also said, that his opinion is valid and he shouldn't put that aside. But i didn't like the structure of this video and the tone, in relation to his position as a representative of a website that is used to deliver news. There is a place for subjective criticism and there is a place for objective reports. In my opinion, that I'm also allowed to have, this needed to be the more objective. Im sorry if that point didn't come across in my earlier comment.
I absolutely do not see a place for star wars in the sims, I hated star wars, and I think this was a quick clunky addition , seriously EA, what were you thinking, or with what were you thinking with. Just my opinion you do not have to agree , but....really ?
@@vladawagner8356 I strongly disagree about the sims does'nt owe us anything, yes as a matter of fact they do .The moment they told us the consumer's that have stuck with the sims through all the disappointments and through the sims not getting fixed, starting with 2, which was great, 3 terrible, I have been here sinking my money in the sims since sims1 .....so yes they owe us and if you don't think they do then you don't know know the years of let down's.....I am about done, but remember before you go flaming those who have been here we have been through a lot, and spent a lot of money. And english is not everyones first language.

Were there any other shell buildings from Batuu in buydebug? I want to recreate the whole world so I need the other buildings too.
Take a shot everytime Jovan says 'specific' challenge!
I know nothing abt star wars but I do love grunge builds so I'm getting this for that, lol.
Is there any way to fix the droid bug as I'm tired of losing money and scrap?
The guns are F-11 Blaster Rifles
No, they’re pew-pew things lol
This pack will be used for the steam punk builds a lot, but I guess that's the only use of it for building.....
I’m conflicted between not buying this disney ad pack and really wanting some of the items 😬 (PS: C3P0 is the gold robot you were thinking of 🤣)
Yeees ! Thank you very much.
Show the droids, i loved them in lego star wars back in 2010
Im so excited!!!
I tough that we are getting the waterfalls in batuu since we got the waterfalls from island living :(
Loth-Cat 😭 I got a Loth-Cat/Tooka looking pet cat from the Gallery ages ago for my SW file. I'm so happy they put in one. Those things are my fave!
Still overall think this pack is completely unnecessary for The Sims. But as a SW fan, I will obv have fun with it.
33:41 You missed the chance to say, "These *are* the droids you're looking for."
(Well, I know you're not a Star Wars fan, but it is a reference to Star Wars Episode IV. 😉 )
for a game pack this is amazing, even of it's mostly useless after you play it once
The tall gold one is C3PO and the little beepy robot is R2D2. This pack is really too on the nose I think. They’ve mostly kept it general. Whenever they get too specific like this one, it doesn’t fly well :/
Sorry, C-3PO and R2-D2...nobody got time for hyphens XD
I am not a fan of any items for my game play.😒
Sorry but I'm not impressed with this pack. This is one I won't be buying.
My idea: don't play on september 8 (when the pack is released) share this please
The big Cantina doors is not avaliable in game.
How did you get the tie echolon
I love this, it´s AWESOME
Nice video breakdown. The gold droid is C3P0 and I don't think it's included in this pack as far as I can tell.
I might be able to use this pack to build a Technodrome...🤔🐢🐢🐢🐢
If I ever buy this pack...it migth be from the sales I am not ready for this yet
*places the all mighty secret ruler of the galaxy*
A post box?
So much stuff but still nothing.
There are, in fact, no railings in the SW universe. It’s a problem
There is a a lot on Sixam :)
so you didnt watch any of the star wars films and theyre making you comment on star wars content??? WTF?
anyone like these items for tiny home builds?
I'm digging some of the stuff in this pack as both a sims and star wars fan but the world itself doesn't sell it for me on the $40 price tag with what little is actually stuff to interact with/enter and not empty lot to build a home on but then again even with how little there is idk if I'd want to if given the chance I was really excited as someone who hasnt gotten to the actual park yet either
Buying the pack in 3, 2, 1.
On xbox it doesn't show
Holy SHIT I’m fucking shook with how much content they put in this TRASH PACK. Why can’t we get a good pack with this much content
as a star wars nerd this is the best ever and you should stop complaining about it I'll still have a ton of fun
The new update fucked up my cuatom doors and windows in my game they need to fix it
BOO. WHAT A RIPOFF..HOW BOUT THEY FIX WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED.
The crates and Disney are creepy!!!!
This is the first pack I'm not buying I can't event use nothing in this pack for decrorating or designing my home
this video is a perfect example of how unnecessary it is to mix star wars and sims
HE DIDN'T SEE STAR WARS??? WTF?????????
This game is atrocious
kinda disappointed by this i saw clothing in CAS that was literally from OUTDOOR RETREAT just you know in SW Form
12:30 DEAD
I was think how ugly it all is but then realized I can build a run down, crappy ghetto house! No railings though? Smh.
Waste of storage, the most wasteful pack ever. There is even no lots for players who liked that pack . I wonder what they will do with that pack... Just a few items I like, other than these, just trash.
I like this pack along with maaany others. So your opinion doesn’t change other people’s. So... just stop.
35:30 minutes of you saying I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. You could have skipped this one. So lame
The gameplay aspect is a joke. But even as disappointing is the objects, too industrial. difficult to incorporate into existing world. pass.
Not having seen any Star Wars film is NOT a badge of honour and I'm so sick of hearing it. You're missing out, all of you. They're fantastic films.
People think that disliking something popular makes them interesting and smart. It doesn't.
Who's treating it as a badge of honor?
WHO SAID IT WAS?!? All they said in the vid was they were not really interested/ have never seen it so they don’t know why things are the way they are.
Can someone tell me why after i enter bb.showhiddenobjects the spaceship and the droids still cant be found?
This pack is stupid and would add absolutely nothing to my game play. I am boycotting until they fix skin tones and update babies. Period!
Please stop with the constant complaining. You made your point, stop beating it against the ground...
No! People are allowed to say what they want as nd however many times as they want all the money and time people have put into this game yes they have every right to complain. You have no right telling people to stop complaining.
mary combs you just talked about people having opinions to someone stating an opinion.
The internet...a place known for lack of constant complaining... 🤣🤣🤣
Yes exactly!!! Just my thoughts
He was just trying to understand why something looked the way it did. Why so harsh? It’s HIS opinion.
Lmao just do a bit of research and watch the movies, they're pretty damn great
