Mate been following you for a couple of years. As a Wales fan this time last year I couldn't see how Australia could get out of their hole- buzzing to see them back looking so strong. Just hope we can get out of ours sometime soon but can't see it happening. Devastating
Can't wait for the game this evening. Go the Wallabies. Uggy it has been a while mate but I believe like you that we are back, not in full force but in momentum building a very competitive Wallaby team.
@@uggy Me too brother. I haven't been this excited about a Wallabies team and game in bloody years. I honestly thought we were going to drop out of the top 10. There is a God.
@@uggy Italy were MASSIVE - I haven't seen Italy play so well in decades. They played like a well lubricated machine! Held the Kiwis back for a long period of time - I wa *IMPRESSED* !
The Wallabies are back! Now we can brag about beating you again! Been waiting a while now for you guys to start playing good rugby again so we can stop feeling sorry for you! The banter is back on boys! Seriously though, Australia looking pretty good and that can only be good for the Rugby Championship and international rugby in general!
The Wallabies will be strong come home world cup in 27, fair dinkum mate, anything short of a place in the final will be a disaster, a lot of work to be done between now and then....
I've said this in a few places but I'm super happy with how the Spring Tour has started for us. Not only did they net two away wins but two different types of wins, the first one being one against the old enemy who prefers to play tight and boy was it a close game. It's rare that we sneak away with the win after the buzzer but I'm so glad we did. The second type of win being the blowout win BUT with a significant disadvantage and I think Giteau explained it so well on the KOKOs podcast, losing Kerevi meant the forwards were forced to take it through the middle, (hence the 3 tries from mauls) before sending it wide as one of the key link players was now gone. The Wallabies have shown some really good grit and fundamentals for these wins and I'm already really satisfied with how they've gone. If they can be competitive against the Scots then I'll be stoked. If they can push the Irish then I'll be ecstatic. It's wishful thinking, but it's hard to help it when the players are playing well and there's huge promise and skill shown in their play. The hope of a grand slam sounds both outlandish and plausible when you see how they've played lately!
Even though we won today, I know damn well that the Wallabies will be back stronger the next time we play you guys. The Lions tour all of a sudden looks very spicy
Im from Perth so have an AFL background and discovered rugby when I moved to the eastern states. In AFL they accept that it takes up to two years playing at the highest level before a guy really learns what is required week in week out. So I think maybe we make the call a bit early on some of these guys... we have to accept it will take a while for them to adapt to test match rugby, the beauty of picking young guys is they pick it up quicker!! Having said that, it makes a huge difference when you have a forward pack that can give the side some momentum going forward. Very excited now about the future of the Wallabies. Go you good things!! ; ]
Australia have been my mortal sporting enemies. In the 90s and 2000s the cricket and rugby team tortured me. I hated the wallabies. After watching the past 10 years of mismanagement and chaos caused by RA and their backwards thinking I realised something World Rugby isn't healthy without a good Australia team. So I'm glad there seems to be some green shoots coming through.
I don’t doubt any side coached by Joe Schmidt, When the ABs got beaten twice in NZ by Ireland they brought in Schmidt and Ryan and All blacks go on a long as win streak. Aus has the players just needed the right coach
I thought at the time that this video was overly optimistic but I expected it would take longer than three days for the hopes of Aussie fans to be crushed. Again. But no, Scotland crushed Australia 27-13, 4 tries to 1, overnight.
Yes, Nick White... The less said the better. McDermott is leagues above everybody else. Gordon is okay with his box kicks, but he has no pace to speak of.
Feel free to call me out on this statement, but I've been saying this since Joe Schmidtt took over as coach of the Wallabies. They have slowly been building as a team, and were doing so when Dave Rennie was their coach - the whole Eddie Jones tenure completely derailed the Wallabies. As an AB's fan, I've never counted out Australia, because I've seen so many times over the years, you simply cannot count them out. They are only going to get better and better. With Joe Schmidtt as the coach, and the Melbourne Rebels no longer a franchise. The best players in Australia are just going to condense into the remaining teams, which only benefits Rugby Australia, those that are playing and ultimately the Wallabies. Rock on Wallabies.
Side note since you have that Cowboys jersey on the back wall, it must have hurt to use that footage of Sua’li’i plowing through the Cowboys’ front row 😂 but as good as he has been since crossing over, I hope the Reds can mount a solid defence against him, he’s a unit
Yeah look, if you can't beat scotland this weekend you're definitely getting swept by the lions next year. A 2 game win streak against a couple european teams that are going through a rough form patch and who haven't played a proper tournament in half a year is not really a great indicator of where Australia is actually at. They look much better with their gameplay and confidence, but the Scots are a very abrasive and clinical team and the Irish are even better...so my bet is there's probably back to back losses coming to end the year off. Fools gold most likely.
Warning! England are rudderless, and Wales have lost 11 consecutive games. The previous week, Wales lost ( for the first time at home ) to Fiji. The week before, Fiji lost to Scotland 57 - 17
wasn't a Fiji team, it was a club side that played against Scotland. Every single player in that Fiji team played for Fijian Drua. Scotland did what was expected of an international side when playing a club team
