Had one of these when it was “new”…couldn’t get anywhere with it (beyond a few cool tones using heavy down-pitching) and eventually traded back to the store owner (for what I don’t recall) and I’ve never missed it… Fun(ny) to hear these demo songs again after all these years tho!
The demo song with the steel pans - there’s a song called “Compliments Girl On Your Kiss”, they literally ripped the demo tune off and release it. It was a top 20 hit in the UK 🤣
@@MusicianParadiseI grew up in that era and made music back then, it’s not the only way believe me - at least producers bothered to program the things. Not just hit the demo button and record. I actually programmed one of these for my final music assignment along with other hardware. If I can find the original tape I’ll upload it!
@@Blackheathguy Wow! Would like to hear tat! Of course the greatest produces as Apex Twin and Autechre took those machines from that era into extreme, I did some digging into RX7 ua-cam.com/video/RW4KRhaCUic/v-deo.htmlsi=cFZSdzziwni157Kt
Your totally right “they don’t make em like this anymore “ & I’m totally kool with that. Lol although the “NOISE” demo was has some very useful sounds ..
I had me both a Rx5 & Rx7 which was ahead of there time as a digital instrument back in the late 80's when they first hit the market. Keep in mind that many people still used cassette tapes to play audio during an era before many digital advantages we now have 🎶🙂🎶
@@MusicianParadise lol i thought they were absolutely awesome, the most 80s thing ever, besides showing that this can do a “guitar” solo? i bought one off this video alone!
