HOW TO Shorten a CHANEL Chain Strap in 10 Mins | $10 HACK!

- I love chain straps on my handbags, but being a shorter gal I find myself needing to adjust my straps very often. I don't like the wrap-under-the-flap method just because as soon as you open your bag it unravels and flips all over the place (anyone else know what I'm talking about?)
In order to utilize my bags more, I found an inexpensive and easy way to adjust it. These little tools can be moved from bag to bag so you don't need many in your collection. They fit many different chains and also are of good quality.
Please share how you adjust your handbag straps. I would love to learn different ways of doing this.

thank you for this video!! my chain strap hooks to the top handle of my bag and this is the only video made specifically for that!
Glad this was helpful. Hopefully you were able to adjust the length of the strap!
Great video! I’ll have to try them out.Happy to see you are well! TFS! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! Yes, give it a try. Lots of new ways to wear your bags :)
Love this DIY hack! So helpful especially for us petite girls. I hear you on the WOC! 😍😘😘
I know, right? Petite girls are always thinking of hacks to shorten things :)
Absolutely awesome idea. Thank You so much for sharing darling. Take care ❤️
Take care, Irene!
love this idea particularly for the BA! i've also heard of using a twilly to tie up some of the chain in it to shorten the length. will be trying it soon!
Oh, that would be so pretty to use a twilly to shorten the chain. I might have to look into that too!
Good idea thank you
You are welcome
On the light blue, do you think there is a way to tuck in the loop inside? :)
I think you can. I just didn't want to take up space on the inside with a chain :)
Hi ~ after the criss cross the strap of business affinity bag, may i know how long is the strap drop?
Hi Mira. After the adjustment, the strap drop is about 16 inches. Hope that helps!
Just ran into this video! Not sure if you will read this, but does the clip damage the leather part of the strap? Just got a rectangular mini with top handle and wanted to use the clip to shorten just one side like your blue clutch. I do like the way it looks but I am afraid that the clip will rub against the leather part of the strap and cause damage/tear to the leather. Especially since the strap is thinner than the regular mini rectangle. Thanks!
Hi Sandra - mine has not damage the leather strap but it isn't heavy either. I would imagine the rectangular mini would be heavier because it can fit more than my wallet. I get your concern, but the metal clip is smooth and so that might be why it didn't affect mine. Not sure if that is the case with all bags though. Hope that helps!
@@angeleyn Thank you so much for your reply! I might eventually try the clip after wearing the bag as it is first. Do you know if all the clips are the same size or there are thinner ones? Maybe the thinner one leaves more room around the leather so less rubbing? I’ll look into that as well. Thanks for your videos! I enjoy watching them!
I'm not too sure but I would imagine there would be a lot more options since I've made this video. Theoretically, a thinner clip should allow more space!
Hello! I know this is a 2yr old post but I’m really debating on which bag size to buy for business affinity bag due to the straps length. Just for reference may I ask what’s your height?
I'm 5'1" or 155cm. Good luck!
Great idea. I tried the link and it’s not working, can you resend the webpage in a reply. Thanks! 💜
Odd. I tried them both and they work. With screw version: bit.ly/2VuyZJw

angeleyn Might not work as I’m based in the UK 😢 still not working. Thank you for trying.
@@mih-c5614 Oh that must be it. These are only for USA. I tried to look for ones in the UK but none had good rating. Here is one for example: bit.ly/33YFgiG Perhaps you can use it to find other ones? I think I have limited view from my end.
