I remember many years ago starting to fall asleep one night as this song came on the radio. Even with the lights on, it was a little unsettling with the song stopping and starting and the melody coming and going...made it feel like aliens had arrived and were on their way to my bedroom lol. Great song and great reaction Angela!
This may be their best song of all. Certainly their most progressive. Certainly groovy. I loved how you connected with it, and embodied it. The spacy mellotron was one of the best uses I have heard. So early. "Continental Drift" is similarly outstanding, but it was 20 years later.
See if you can find all 4 Beatles on that Stones cover. Great example of the psychedelic era. It's about time someone reacted to this little goody. Thanks.
A psychedelic classic from the Stones on an album filled with that atmosphere. Next try Dandelion from it, another great hit for them. They always deliver, enjoy! 🎶🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
Victrola was actually the trade name of the phonographs produced by the Victor company, which was purchased by RCA around 1930. Funny thing is, in the "His Master's Voice" logo, which they began using about fifteen years before RCA's purchase of the company, the dog is actually staring down the cone of an Edison-Bell gramophone, not a Victrola! Gramophone was actually the generic name used for that type of phonograph from any manufacturer.
I've never heard this song before! Quite unexpected, psychedelic and trippy! You looked like a Go Go dancer from the 1960's, and that's a compliment! They didn't sound like themselves, and that made the song more interesting, ominous and enigmatic! It was groovy and far out! Bye!
Another great track from that album, she's like a rainbow,

Greatest Rock n Roll band ever ✌️
Nice reaction…you would have fit right in!
Love that record!

Charlie Watts, RIP! They found a really hard groove on this one and it pointed in the direction they were heading with their next few albums.

The many faces of the Stones. So fun. ❤😂
I remember when this was released I loved it and still do.
When the Beatles went psychedelic, The Stones said Hold My Beer, we'll show you psychedelic !!!!
Welcome to psychedelic 60's. The record player was called a victrola made by RCA.

Not in the 60s. Victrola was a brand of record player. In the 60s they were just record players
Never heard this before. Sounds very psychedelic. Fits right in to 1967
Great song Angela.
Have to think about 'Kites' by Simon Dupree.
If you like this kind of music, I recommend the "Electric Prunes" who sing "Too much too dream last night" (USA 1966).
High school sounds!! 😅

i think your thinking of a Grama Phone.
Have not heard this song in many years. Would love to see you react to a great track by Devin Townsend titled Stormbending. Peace and love...
This entire album was made for drugs. Literally, it was the Stones' psychedelic period.
Another great song using the mellotron like the Moody Blues used.
