@@BenDecko-ir7op why do you make things political 🧐. This isnt about politics at all, ya dork
@@ilovebirds3157 I’m sorry, are the facts giving you a case of the butthurt?
Yep, Juneteenth, when Union soldiers traveled to South Texas to free the black slaves from Mexicans and Native Americans.
RIGHT.... IS THAT WHAT CRT TEACHES YOU???
@@mikebrigs1218 It's not CRT. I hate CRT BS. The white people in East Texas had already got the memo. It's the slaves owned by Mexicans and Native Americans that hadn't gotten the memo.
The vast majority of the 250,000 slaves in Texas were white owned, of course. Nice try though. So many slaves ended up in Texas after the emancipation proclamation was issued because they were led on a forced March for hundreds of miles by white Southerners (not natives, not mexicans) in an effort to continue slavery in the American Southwest.
@@shoeshane6494 ALL of the slaves in Texas were owned by native Americans and Mexicans after the Civil War. The army had to be sent to set them free. Apparently the brown man and the red man were just as bad as the white man...🤷♂🇺🇸
Well, lets get ready for the comments from all the kids disappointed to not have slaves today...
NO ONE WANTS SLAVES.
Look at cities like Chicago...🤷♂ The Democrats never gave up their slaves, they just moved them to the cities...
NFL MINICAMPS ARE HERE !!!..
.....😁👆.... 🏈
And let's get ready for all the race baiting comments from holier than though libs. You libs do realize that your ancestors also owned slaves, right?
it's okay just remind all those gen zombies that their green technology uses child slave labor in Africa
We have a federal holiday and no mail is delivered, federal buildings are closed. We are all safe for one more day.
The problem with Juneteenth, Texas was not the last state to abolish slavery. Delaware was. Since Delaware never succeeded from the union, he was not subject to the emancipation proclamation. Only when the 13th amendment to the constitution came into effect, did all states, have no enslaved persons. That occurred on December 31st, 1865.
Wish it was still in effect honestly. They haven't even done one thing productive since they've been out of their cages, not one.
@@jeffreylieberman1668 Not wishing to break a sweat to disprove your racist comment, look up Thomas Sowell (still alive) and Walter Williams (passed away a few years ago). But as Thomas Gray said “where ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise”. You win the brass ring.
@@wunderkind-7724 Ha ha... Just wish we could celebrate something together instead of still trying to divide.
Also Kentucky and new Jersey. New Jersey had indentured servitude for life until the 13th.
When youtube comments make more sense than the holiday, it should not be a holiday anymore.
*Six teens were shot at a Juneteenth event in Milwaukee. One of several similar events in big cities across the country! Shameful! Get your act together people!*
Looks like that summer crop was in though 😂😂😂😂😂
Say no to mind control
I am not black or African My ancestors were indigenous to the Americas before whites came. I will only celebrate indigenous peoples day.
I don't mind having a Holiday to recognize the end of slavery BUT how lazy was it to call it Juneteenth? I mean come on we have Independance Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and so on Juneteenth really that's the best our government could do? Why not Emancipation Day or Freedom Day. no, no lets call it Juneteenth.......SMH
agree with you, its an unworthy name
How many of their own people were killed on this " historic" holiday?
Irrelevant, the end of slavery is still worth celebrating. I don't care how many thugs commit a crime on that day. Two totally separate issues.
Why would anyone have a problem with celebrating the end of slavery? Makes no sense.
Today is my birthday.
All are created equal! yes

Then why do democrats still treat blacks like slaves?
Thats why we have a a pride month and a black history month because in reality what they trying to tell us is that only these people count...
Clown planet continues…
stop the cap
Looks like the Juneteenth summers of love under the Joe Briben's is turning into the monkeypox of pride after another Chicago "21 gun salute". I guess they didn't see the "gun free zone" signs again.
Right-wingers punching the air right now. They haven't been this mad since the Confederacy waved that white flag. 😂😂😂😂
There is none....
If you're not racist, then you aren't bothered by today & might even celebrate at least on paper the end of chattel slavery in America but if you're on the lower end of the racism spectrum you're bothered.

Yet, my employer and so many other employers, still have us working today. We even work on mlk day. And i work with many african Americans 🤷♂️
Why isn’t Black History month in June?
3:50 they wanted equality not equity
BS
Who cares these folks need yo grow
Thanks to a republican who made it happen
There is nothing SPECIAL OF THIS DAY
We should have the whole year, to be honest, Our enslaved ancestors virtually built the foundation for this country for free through constant persecution.
Read some books. Slavery was almost entirely agricultural. They didn't have industry in the south. Immigrants , including freedmen, built this country.
Take a whole year, no actually, take the whole 21st century.
@Drowning poor alice Selective memory, it's fine if you want to look at it like that. But, industrialization starts with agriculture. Simply put, you can not build for years without getting hungry.
And if you don't have to pay for your farms and things to be kept properly running.
You can keep that industry going no problem.
The war on woke is gonna keep people stupid; have a great day.
P.S. You act like slavery started in the 1800s when you talk about immigration.
Trans Atlantic Slavery has been around since hundreds of years before the beginning of this country near the end of the thirteenth century, the fourteen twenties.
It was only after they became free, and you had to take care of your own fields. that's when they became lazy expletives, and thugs.
And since that happened in 1865, the grudge against black america has always been @ full steam like a locomotive.
And now that i've said what I said... I don't care what you believe or what you don't believe it's been said.
But who made you slaves? Do you hate your African ancestors? I highly doubt so.
@@ilovebirds3157 It's easy to try to justify it when you're conflicted.
it should be like 4 of july we all off from work nobody work
Original sin of slavery? I frequently wonder who is putting the words in his mouth.
January of 1863 was a little more important in the history of America for Black American's.
Not really. This is one of the few examples where the emancipation actually freed anyone.
@@silencemeviolateme6076 sure, I guess a whole war wasn't fought over it

June 19th - Who is my Father Day?
Juneteenth is all well and good, but the Black race also has Black History Month. How about celebrate the veterans for a month, or fire fighters and police for a month. These people put their lives on the line everyday and get no respect, but we know how Juneteenth was celeabrated in illinois, by gun fire. One killed and over 20 injured.
