I don't see a problem with what he said. People judge others based on their looks. The majority of influential/listened to women alive currently are either naturally attractive or have altered their appearance to be more attractive.
Yeah but the point of the criticism is that men generally aren't held to those same standards (an example being the current Dalai Lama himself). There are a lot of very average looking men on TV or in politics but women are often expected to be hot first, otherwise people aren't bothered with what talents they may have.
