That's a handmade Hawaiian quilt! How beautiful. That one was made to be displayed. I learned how to quilt like that when I lived in Hawai'i yrs ago. If truly done by hand, they take forever. The stitches should be abt a pinky apart & u won't see any stitching around the applique. Great find!

I miss shopping with my mom and dad, as they’ve both been gone several years. We only got to shop together a few times each year, as we lived two hundred miles apart. We surely would have loved shopping together more often!

I absolutely LOVED my windbreaker from back in the 80's, and you have inspired me to dig it out and wear it again. I'm 76 years old, and that makes me old enough to do just about whatever I want to, plus get away with it!!! Wear yours with pride!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your dad with us. He has a fantastic smile. You are so fortunate to have both your parents. I lost my dad when I was 18 ( he was 41) and Mother passed when she was 56. Both were way too young.
I was 19 when my dad left us. I was his shadow. I followed him around every chance I got. He was such a great dad. Mom was 90.❤❤
I lost both my parents way too young too. It’s sad. When I see people who get these memories and time with their parents it’s always so special. I’m happy for people but it’s bittersweet and sad for me.

The box digging looked like such great fun because you never know what treasures await! The sale has fantastic items. I especially love the Victorian real or inspired earrings. If she has anymore sales this fall, I know I keep saying this, but I am truly happy that you are getting to spend so much time with your parents. They are such a cute and sweet couple!

Back in the 80s the big thing was discovering "your" colors using a system broken down by the seasons. You were a spring, summer, fall or winter based on your hair/ eye color and your skin tone. Each season had a range of colors that were recommended.
I remember the windbreakers. I still have one that is a pullover and it is lined with flannel.

Selena I really enjoyed this video with your parents. I had my hip replaced the 21st of September and when the pain isnt too bad I've been binge watching your channel. Ive got Lupus and some other issues so it hasnt been the smooth sailing that everyone assumes it is supposed to be. Ive been running a pretty good fever which their assuming is because of the Lupus. You have helpedý take my mind off it when the pain levels out. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into your channel. You are beautiful inside and out😊❤🎉

Oh my God, the 80's windbreaker brings back so many memories!! I had a hot pink and black one with green stripes that I actually wore into the early 90's........I thought I looked so good! Oh Lord have mercy, how funny.......😁
The quilted piece is probably from Hawaii. They use them for wall hangings . Yes, I still have a Nike windbreaker I pack , when I go to HI, to ware on windy days there.

Re: color palette In the 80s there was a book Color Me Beautiful.... you were assigned a season, which represented the colors that suited you. I first heard about it when a woman grabbed me in a clothing store and exclaimed excitedly" Oh my goodness! You're a winter!" and walked away.😂😂😂 only found out what she meant weeks later.
I have a friend who had her "colors done" in the '80's and she still won't try other colors. Crazy as her "done" colors look awful on her. All browns and taupes. Soooo boring. Bright colors look nice with her skin tone but she insists on her boring browns because some fool "color consultant" told her her season and "colors". (I'm rolling my eyes now!) LoL!

Oh my goodness, yes, I used to have a windbreaker similar to that. In fact, if I’m looking dig in the back of my closet, I probably would find it now. Lol. Also, Williams-Sonoma is one of my favorite places to shop. It’s not, but a few miles from where we live, and I’m always going in and looking at the clearance area. Sometimes they have really good deals there, I love those fish plates. A lot of times it’s great when you have like a seafood appetizers or theme party. Sending hugs, love, prayers, and kindness. PS I went over to your shop and found some things that I loved but we’re already purchased. Boo-hoo.♥️🙏🏼♥️
