Shaykh Sulayman has received authorisation in 14 qira’at (recitations) of the Holy Qur’an. He has authored over 400 books which he intends to start publishing in the coming months and has recently completed transcribing a 700 year old manuscript at the British Library in London.
Shaykh Sulayman is a scholar of our times. In addition to his wide catalogue of written works and extensive lecturing around the world, he has appeared on CNN and Al Jazeera, and his multi award-winning Belgian national television documentary, My Jihad, was translated into 12 languages. Shaykh Sulayman has recently been appointed Associate Muslim Chaplain at the London School of Economics.
As a scholar who resonates with young and old alike, Shaykh Sulayman is a powerful, dynamic and credible voice for the emerging formation of a confident, faithful identity of Islam in Europe.
The Monthly Halaqah is a monthly event that has been designed to cater for the wider community to come together collectively, to engage with their Creator and to build a strong connection with the Prophet ﷺ.
Facilities are provided for both brothers and sisters.
Halaqah linguistically means "circle" in Arabic. A halaqah, is often referred to as a religious study circle. In these gatherings, people generally sit together and remember Him through learning about matters of the deen, prayer, recitation of Quran etc.
Allah said in Surat al-Baqara, 152: "Remember Me and I will remember you." [2:152]
