Orlando was first established primarily on the East side of town while the south west side was mainly for theme parks. Spawning from UCF to Winter Park, Oviedo, and Waterford Lakes. When people think of Winter Garden, they think "oh it's far but fine". When people think of Clermont, they are like "that's the edge of the world, I'll probably never visit". The biggest issue and why Clermont houses are a tad cheaper is due to this tho now that commercial shops finally caught up, I think people are starting to look at the areas differently. To us people who has been in Orlando for 30+ years, it's a tough mentality to shake off.
Great video! I moved down to Florida 2 years ago and we looked at houses in WG and Clermont. We ended up picking Clermont because of the outdoor living. We are only a mile from the Southlake Trail (this trail connects to West Orange Trail) and downtown and live right by Lake Minnehaha. We bought a boat to enjoy the Clermont Chain of Lakes. I run and bike on the trail. We are very happy with our decision. We definitely agree WG downtown is the winner between the two but we know that Clermont’s downtown has so much potential! We are hoping it catches up to WG or comes closer to that wonderful downtown experience.
Another great video!!! You highlighted the difference in the two towns well including pricing and taxes. Most of us that live in the Groveland, Minneola, Clermont, and Winter Garden areas have the convenience of going between all three towns and enjoying the amenities offered by each. You didn’t cover Minneola in this video, but I think it should have been included in your assessment of Clermont since they’re close together. In time once the Minneola Town Center and Wellness Ridge projects are complete, those living west of Orlando will have the same services and amenities and will have no need to venture over there.
2.5 acres in Clermont? Yes please! Plenty of room for kids and dogs and it would be just a sanctuary away from the chaos. That's the trouble I have with those multi-home developments. It feels like you're living on top of your neighbors.
i will always pick Clermont since i have strong ties to The NTC and love the wellness way project coming in the area. As a first time home buyer we were priced out or outbidded. So maybe in the future we will live there
Clermont areas look better and newer homes.. but you are stuck in alot of flat land area Winter gardens is near tbat huge lake. But older developments and some ghettos
cool vid as someone who is visiting clermont. i really love winter garden for none of the reasons you mentioned lol now i must check out the things you mentioed.
@@Singuy888 it’s located in Orange County. Horizon west just uses winter garden for the address. Winter garden doesn’t service the area or governor the area. And yes it’s a master plan community similar too Avon Park Hunter Creek Dr Phillips Waterford Lakes. It’s the newest master plan community in Orange County
Amazing video. But it’s not even close WG is by far the better city. Clermont has too many older homes from the early 1990s and the traffic is a nightmare. There 45 minutes away from Disney sea world and universal on a good day prolly closer to an hour door to door. There’s no jobs in clermont. It’s more affordable because there’s nothing there. WG has Disney and it’s much closer to Windermere Dr Phillips Seaworld and universal. You’re a great sales man tho love your videos.
Correct, WG is much more desirable as you have Ocoee as a buffer to the rough areas, close to disney amenities, close to universal, close to Chinatown for eastern eatery and close to dr Phillips for western eatery. It has great access to hwy for downtown travels. All the new amenities Clermont got such as Costco are equally close to winter garden. WG is by far the better area and even though people rave about it, it's still under rated vs lake nona/winter park/oviedo. I feel that the horizon west area is also over rate as it's kind of far to Orlando downtown with all the traffic. Just south of 50 on daniels/stoneybrook/black lake/stone crest I feel is the best location but Ken never talks about them.
Thinking about buying OR selling a home in Orlando? We'd love to help! theorlandoreal.com/youtube
Perhaps we'll chat soon.

Nice to have a new video from you all to watch with my coffee this morning
Working on incorporating some more Polk county love here shortly!
This is the exact video I needed from you today while working! Dreaming and wishing! Thank you Ken!

Totally agree!
Great video Ken. Minneola will be the next best thing. Clermont to me would be anything north of Hartwood Marsh Rd.

What's NTC?
Very informative and unbiased video. ❤
Downtown Winter Garden is such a great place to walk around with your family or to go on a date
Love WG, Clermont and Minneola is the hidden gem of the three.
You can ride your bike on the West Orange trail from downtown Clermont to downtown Winter Garden and it’s an amazing ride!
Love how you compared these. very helpful!
Do you have anything like a questionnaire to determine what fits a buyer? 😊
Clermont areas look better and newer homes.. but you are stuck in alot of flat land area
Winter gardens is near tbat huge lake. But older developments and some ghettos
Which one has better schools?
Good video Ken
Hoping you guys make some closer to Tavares and Mt. Dorna and Eustis.
Thanks Matt JAX

Hahha! What are the reasons you love it?
What is the kitchen cabinets color?
Will the new interstate development going from Claremont make a faster trip to Disney when it’s completed?
Much faster. Not only that, but there’s going to be a few more cut through roads from 27 to Avalon.
Thanks!
Clermont all day, but def tell the out of staters to move to Winter Garden, lol
Great video, as usual!
My mother has a friend in Orlando we might visit and tour around the city 😊!!$$
How far is winter garden from horizon west Ken
Horizon west is a master plan community, not a city. Horizon west is located in the city of winter garden.

Ain’t not place like Longwood, more specifically the wekiva springs area…
Like a hidden oasis!
Great thumbnail!
$50 says they are looking for/at the bald eagle's nest 😂 1:05
That background on the screenshot has a gpt aesthetic.. I may be wrong 😊
“show me a UA-cam thumbnail that depicts life in Clermont vs Winter Garden FL” Wild what pops out.
😮 incredible!!
@jcasaubon right?! Still a bunch of fine tuning after, but gives a solid base
Winter Garden is the best not even close Clermont a traffic nightmare and Oakland over priced.
What not winter park lol
