I have a feeling that Kai would have came out to Nya in like kinda a funny way? Like, when he was taking care of her and one morning he was making breakfast and sudenly had the urge to tell her that. So when she asked what both of them were having for breakfast he basically just blurred out 'Im a guy' and all Nya said 'No way, I havent noticed, now whats for breakfast?' bc they would prob figure it out by her own, bc, well, she prob only saw him as a dude and never questioned it ofc If ya see it differently thats fine, I just find this hilarious and it would work with their personalities Also amazing video, its such a nice alternative timeline and I ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT
I think it would be cool to have a moment where some people are talking abt celebrity crushes or smth and the aroace guys are all like: what... Are you saying....?
This series of skits was so much fun to watch because it felt so wholesome and genuine. I'm really glad I found it and this explenation of the AU. It was really fun to see parts of myself applied to characters I love (trans, bi, autism and adhd, chronic illness, etc). There were basically little pieces of mirrors in every character! The only thing that wasn't there was polyamory. In my head I imagine after things cool down a bit, (Ni)Cole might realize he still has feelings for Kai even while dating Geo and after some talking with both of them they could come to an agreement for a poly relationship.
This makes me so happy :DDDD All the representation! probably part of why i like this so much also, besides all the great representation (especially autism, aroace, chronic pain, agender, general transness) is bc i learned about the ninjago basics from your videos b4 getting into the base-story properly so my experience and foundational knowledge of the story was sorta imbued w your AU details from the very beginning. rly love the details of this AU :DDD
OK!!!! so, i havent watched the video yet, but I had a thought while watching your trans ninjago compilation and forgot to comment about it there, so you get it here. The magic dino + age up episode is the ninjas getting aged back down, then artificially aged up, tomorrow's tea doesn't undo the age decrease, just artificially ages. meaning that Kai's body got sent back to being like seven, and then went through the same thing as lloyd. So I've spent the past few days having a series just like yours in my head, except Kai pops up re-fully grown, with years of voice training, T shots, and his top surgery all undone in like three seconds. also technically the same goes to Jay because he'd have voice training and T shots also undone, but Kai is my current hyperfixation, so he's my main character.
So you know how you gave Kai his auto immune disease as like a side effect of his powers? Have you thought about side effects the others may have from their powers in this re-write?
Honestly as a Ninjago fan and a nonbinary person (still in the closet) with OCD, your AUs make me feel so seen! It's comforting to know I'm not alone in all of these aspects. Thank you
One of the funniest things about this to me is that Lloyd basically got bridgeted. They both have a backstory where they were raised to be a different gender from birth and then decided they liked it. Love the AU and the skits.
