They use this in my company’s environment. I have experience in coding, administration, and security certs. DevSecOps pays a lot, and I’m working towards that job now. Thanks for the video, man 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Andrew! Do you think that with the rise of DevSecOps, traditional Dev/Sec positions will become obsolete since DevSecOps works on both, or does it serve as a middle ground between the two?
It's hard to say for sure but, I think once companies see the agility/security that devsecops offers. It will be hard not to have at least a few devsecops engineers in your org chart!
What would you recommend as a career path to get into devsecops? It doesn't sound like it's an entry level job. I'm in school and am really interested in devsecops.
Is it necessary to be good at programming for DevSecOps jobs??? Or a cybersecurity guy can get into field without that much of programming knowledge ???
@@AndrewRoe How much programming? I love interacting with API and building some security tools and reporting but I cannot build a full program. My programing experience is based on scripting that I have done over the years to configure, change and create tools to make my job easier.

I think both can be true. However, I think it helps to know programming to succeed in DevSecOps.

What about web development
that's an option for anyone but not something I discuss here.
