"Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise" Documentary Talkback

On October 26, 2023, the National Women’s History Museum (NWHM) hosted a special screening of the first feature documentary about the incomparable Dr. Maya Angelou, "Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise."
The screening began with welcome remarks from NWHM President and CEO, Frédérique Campagne Irwin, and Vicky Best-Morris from the United States Mint Office of Equity and Inclusion. The film was introduced by co-director Rita Coburn.
Following the screening was an inspiring talkback with Rita Coburn and Dr. Eleanor Traylor, former chair of the Department of English at Howard University. The discussion was moderated by NWHM Education Programs Manager Rebecca Ljungren.
