I juts thinking, can't we use sphere for making seat? You have used squre for seat which is complicated to adjust inside the sphere. If we use some faces of sphere and do extrude so i think it will fix propely inside the spherr. It is just my opinion. Please guide us if it is not working. I mean pros and cons.

Hold X while moving object to snap yo grid. Hold V while moving to snap to vertex

I'm still a little in the dark about where to throw in those edge loops. I've tried a few variations but it isn't coming out right, and I couldn't really see where you put them. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Just put them close to the edge, that's all
