nice nugget of info there about Ken Norten being able to notice Ali's Pec tense up when he was about to throw a jab. After watching a lot of your videos I think you give Liston to much credit and in this video I think you don’t give enough credit to Jack Johnson. He had the size, athleticism and defensive skill to match any heavyweight in history, to me he s in the top 5 heavyweights all time.
First, I love this whole project. Super well done. As for how do I think it would go? I have a contrarian streak. They say “The Beatles!,” I say, “No, Led Zeppelin, or the Stones.” They say “Shakespeare!,” I say “No, Stephen King, or Michael Connelly.” So, when they say “Muhammed Ali!,” I usually say, “No, it’s peak Lennox Lewis with Emmanuel Stewart in his corner.” If this tournament could happen for real I’d bet on Lennox.
As usual brilliant work good Sir ! I have been waiting for this second ATG tournament with the utmost enthusiasm and yet again you have exceeded expectations ! Oh my word_____Louis vs Liston,Holmes vs Foreman,Frazier vs Holyfield,Holmes vs Louis,Holmes vs Bowe Ali vs Lewis,Ali vs Holmes_______I would have sold my house and car to watch those fights ! Mr Holmes had an absolute murderers-row to deal with in order to get to the Final. Yep, the peak Muhammad Ali was my choice to win the tournament.I would have listed Lewis and Holmes as joint second favourites which I'm sure you would also have. Joe Louis,Sonny Liston, and Riddick Bowe ( that's if Big Daddy was taking this tournament seriously ) would form my next tier of potential winners. It was a wonderful list of ATGs but I would have loved to have Ezzard Charles included, possibly at the expense of Dempsey. However,no complaints.Any tournament involving all these fighters would surely help our beloved boxing to regain it's former status as the World's premier sport.
@spreadeagle2561 sir! Always great to see you comment! Now that you mention it, Larry did have a helluva bracket! That's a murderer's row, as you perfectly put it! The Greatest had to get his "get-back" for falling in that 70s vs 90s tournament! He always was stellar in rematches! Trust me, I considered not only Mr. Charles, but Walcott as well! I can fight it on Title Bout 2, a boxing sim. I fought in a tourney of the greatest 128 heavies, and Jack Johnson outpointed Larry Holmes in the Final Four to advance to the championship. In the other match, Muhammad Ali defeated Riddick Bowe (a bit of a surprise to see Bowe in the final four) by 12th-round TKO to advance to the championship, and in the Championship match, Jack Johnson outpointed Ali in a very close and controversial split decision. Johnson floored Ali in the 4th round, and Ali returned the favor to Jack in the 9th. Both men survived, and it was a classic matchup of two wonderful fighters. Jack won this one; however, Ali is in line for a rematch!
I like your calls. I agree with most of them. Foreman vs Tyson is spot on. I do also think Holmes would be a problem for Foreman stylistically. I'm not sure Ali beats Lewis. I'm also not sure Holmes beats Louis. Those are tough calls. I do agree younger Ali beats Holmes.
Liston can't beat a Klitschko. Holmes definately does well and is a threat to win it all. Tyson has NO CHANCE ON EARTH of beating ANY of these fighters. Forman destroys Tyson. I can see Lewis winning against Fury, but it's a 12 rounder and Lewis can't drop him. We agree on the final match!
Fury can’t be in this tournament at all - very shallow resume and a history of ducking true contenders and other champions. Usyk’s resume is already superior to Fury’s despite his short time in the division and his status as the first undisputed champ since Lennox Lewis should get him in as the modern era pick. Other than that, this video is great - the music adds so much, felt like a real broadcasted fight at the start 🔥

@dangerousdave5162 Usyk wasn't the consensus number 1 heavyweight until he beat Fury mere months ago. Fury dethroned Wlad 9 years ago and, through beating Wilder and the fall of AJ, was clearly number 1 for the better part of 9 years. Him losing to Usyk doesn't change that.
