Great Video Kevin, happy new year to you both. I used to add half a cup of cheap vegetable oil to my charter boat toilets (48) to keep the manual pump running smoothly. It makes a huge difference to the smooth operation of the pump and extends the life of the o rings and valves.
@@sailingmadness you would be surprised. Usually only 4/5 days a month. Using the head every day is much better for the pump than using it every weekend.
This trip was amazing i am not to far from glenarm myself i have a sailboat but just getting started these videos give me so much encouragement thanks for all the time and effort you put into putting them together
Makes you wish you could ‘stomach’ sailing! Very enjoyable series Dave, you make it look easy and clearly you love it. Well done to you both. Happy New Year!
The Caledonian canal is on my bucket list, however there’s not much for me on the east coast and I have done a bit on the south coast already. Plan for 2024 is to head back to Scotland.
Thoroughly enjoyed following you on this journey. Looking forward to your next Scottish trip. I used to live in the Outer Hebrides so I can highly recommend the islands. Especially if you get the weather.
Thanks for an excellent series Dave and Robin. Glad you enjoyed Bangor a bit better than Glenarm. Will look forward to your next series but in the meantime Happy Christmas.
Me and my family on our 37ft Bavaria 2002 and you on yours slightly newer... ok... yes... new.... er... ... Get your bow up here... 62 to 64 degree north Baltic Sea.... We would be thrilled to have you along discover HighCoast heritage and all the rest... Welcome... and mmm start in June ... by the way :-)
I saw that you had a possible engine problem in an earlier episode and went into Largs marina because of it but I couldn't see what happened to the engine issue. What was the problem and how did you fix it?

Thanks Sally, good tip, I do the same on Qdos although I suspect my toilet doesn’t get the same amount of use as yours. 🤣

Thank you Denis, happy new year to you too. 👍
Next trip has to be up the west coast, over the top and down the east coast and through the Caledonian Canal before retracing your tracks home.

Hi Roger, that’s really kind thank you but the plan is to head back to Scotland in 2024. 👍

Hi Paul. It was just a slight fuel filter blockage that caused the problem. Luckily I had spare filters on the boat so the problem was sorted. 👍
Shushhhh stop telling people about our secret up here….😂😂
