MORINGA LEAVES CHUTNEY I highly recommend this chutney as MORINGA is very HEALTHY. Moringa leaves are rich in Vitamins, Minerals, Anti-oxidants & Amino Acid. They help lower blood pressure, cholesterol and protects liver as well. Recipe is very easy- - Take one big bunch of Morninga (drum stick) leaves - Clean them properly - In a pan, take oil - add 1 tbs raw urad dal and 1 tbs raw chana dal - once chana and urad dal turns red, add small piece of ginger, garlic and a small slice of sliced onion - add some whole red chillies - cook them till ginger, garlic and onion becomes little softer (tender) - add morninga leaves - cook them well - add small piece of tamarind - add small piece of jaggery (it’s optional) - and finally some salt - at last add 1/4 cup of freshly grated coconut - cook it only for 2 minutes on medium flame - let the mixture get cool down - take this mixture in a mixer grinder, and grind it with help of water - make smooth paste - for tadka- take oil, add curry leaves, urad dal, mustard seeds and hing - pour this tadka over the prepared chutney - enjoy this chutney with hot steamed rice and some ghee Enjoy with rice, roti, idly, dosa anything per your choice. .
