Cool video. Would be great if you discussed the ableton live aspect that Bohmer designs his tracks for. Looking at his videos, he's always designing the threads that he can later assemble into a song dynamically and on the fly. He also maps lots of interesting effects to his pots so every live performance sounds fresh and different, would love to hear more on these kinds of factors as that IMHO is what sets him apart. His loops are well designed and very intricately detailed, but the way he pre-plans them for later live performance is the part that has opened my eyes in the last year or two....

I just got into creating, I have a question, using presets and stuff is kinda like cheating no? like using the soundpacks and stuff I know you can customize them but thats kinda stealing someones style right, i love this type of music but im iffy on using soundpacks so it doesnt feel like im copying. Do majority of artists use sound packs ? I want to use them too but just feel wierd about it. Thanks for sharing man im learning a lot from you !
Nowadays, using presets is not considered cheating anymore by the majority of artists, and listeners won't even notice! Presets are a great starting point, and it is completely up to you to be creative with them! You don't have to feel weird about it :)
Some of the worlds greatest hits were presets. Prince, Madonna, you name them. Basically (and I'm exaggerating here) the entire 90s and the end of the 80s where there was electronic music, there were presets. Look at it this way; you can record your own vocals, but if you are not a great vocalist, you use someone elses vocals. Now, if you are not that great at sound design or you just lack the time, or if you are looking for inspiration, use presets. That's what they are for.
Everything is a tool, you make each tool your own whenever it be sound design from scratch, a loop or a preset They all help us get to the end goal, do what’s best for the music not what you think has to be done:)

Diva is just as good as your moog to create these sounds… check out PML they plenty of presets for Diva for Bens style (Even a course on how makes his tracks)…
