TARI PENDET PANJANG | Practice in the Sand Dunes in Greece | Balinese Traditional Welcoming Dance

Practicing the traditional Balinese welcoming dance, Tari Pendet, in the sand dunes in beautiful sunny Greece! This also marks one year since I started learning this dance. I can't believe how much I've progressed over this past year!
I managed to get my hands on a 'Bokor' which is Balinese offering dish. It is meant to be filled with flowers, and during the dance I would toss the flowers as an offering to welcome guests. However, for practice, I just left the bowl empty to practice holding the bokor while I'm dancing. I rarely practice with a bokor, which shows in this practice session where if I had flowers in it, they would have tipped all over the place with the way I was handling it.
This is why I practice I guess, and I hope I can bring the spirit of the dance alive while I'm here in Greece!
