Thing about this is it legit sounds like 90/early 2000s east coast metalcore with a hint of nu metal.
this is when Emmure actually had a sound akin to the scene before they just became “le chugchug meme band xD”. if you get what i’m trying to say i applaud you cuz that’s why i love this demo; it has character. it’s really like i’m listening to On Broken Wings or Zao
this is also what the acacia strain sounded early on and both bands went on to evolve parallel of each other...well most just said emmure was biting acacia strain, but downtempo chugcore was the next evolution of 90s metalcore.
@@salinaember9527 The two were arch rivals in the 2000s, now they sound nothing alike at all: Emmure is a nu metal band and TAS is some tough guy downtuned doomcore

The last track is called Green Is The Worst Color Ever. I've asked Jesse Ketive and he confirmed it. I have no idea where the Grey Season title came from but that was never the name of the song. Nevertheless, GREAT song by Emmure. Love Emmure but I especially love the 2 demos that came before the 2005 demo. I just wish their first demo had this production quality cause it has some really good songs on there.

Crystal Heart was on their first (10-song) demo from before Jesse joined the band. I don’t believe they ever re-recorded it or put the original version on this demo EP.

There's almost no nu metal influence here. Emmure didn't really introduce that into their sound until Felony
after respect issue they started to suck I still bump all albums up to respect issue
Felony was just as good as any of that stuff
